This is my favorite donut shop in Huntsville! Their original glazed donuts & donut holes are heavenly. Seriously the best in town! They also have a wide selection of cake donuts, old fashioned donuts, bear claws, and long Johns. If you're more of a savory person, they have plenty of kolaches such as jalapeño, jalapeño and cheese, boudin, and country sausage. As well as, breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos. I love love love this donut store! The have the best donuts and kolaches in Huntsville, hands down. They are affordable and delicious! The glazed donuts are so soft and so sweet they always taste so fresh, and the bread that they use for the kolache is always very fresh and very soft and has a very good sweet taste to it. Fresh is the name, walked into a line but it was moving. Right away the got your order, warmed it up (if wanted) and checked you out. Customer service is quick & very attentive to your needs. I kept getting told to try this place so I finally was able to make it here to try. This place is always busy no matter the time of day you come in, but the line definitely moves quick whether they have one or two people working. The boudain kolaches are my favorite. I tried their old fashioned blueberry donuts and they are ok, I would not order those again. I got the old fashioned glazed donut and it was so moist, warm, and yummy to my tummy - I was in love!!! i'm usually a shipleys girl but this was pretty tasty! I like how the glaze doesn't flake everywhere when you eat it. The dough is more dense and cake type texture but not too thick. Their basic glazed donut is good and so is the bavarian. I like how the bavarian isn't so much filling it pours out when you bite it. I would add a picture but they didn't last long lol. They're pretty cheap too, for two donuts and a small milk it was $3.25 no charge or minimum for card. read more

I'm a native of Huntsville & love this place. Every time I come home I have to stop in for the boudin kolaches I order ahead due to the large request from my colleagues for a dozen for each of them. The service is amazing. The order is ready when they promise it & they even assist me to my car with the large orders. Delicious doughnuts! I've heard these are the best in Hunstville, so had to try! We got 1/2 dozen of assorted and they were very fresh, fluffy and yummy! We also tried the kolaches (spelling?) and they are amazing! The ones we tried had sausage, cheese, wrapped in a flaky, buttery fluffy dough. Filling and fantastic! I recently went to Fresh Donuts and let me tell you, this is my go to donut place in the area. I went in and got chocolate iced, glazed, and an old fashioned glazed and let me tell you my taste buds were amazed. The donuts were perfectly glazed and iced and were extremely fresh. Whenever I took my first bite I realized that God had sent me to donut heaven. The donuts were so fluffy that it almost melted in my mouth and I just wanted more and more. Customer service was really great as well and would recommend this place to anyone in the area. If you are in the Huntsville area and looking for a donut place, don't even think twice, go to Fresh Donuts you will not regret it. I am an Austin, TX native and have lived in Huntsville for 2 years. After growing up on world famous donuts, it is hard to find a good donut place! I have been ADDICTED to FRESH DONUTS for 2 years!! This place has by far the best donuts and kolaches in the area. I will drive from New Waverly to get donuts here rather than there. There is something about their glaze that is perfect. It is crisp, light, and melts in your mouth. The donuts are always fresh, light and airy and NEVER taste like grease or oil. The kolache are delightful. The dough is cooked perfectly and not over done, traditional sweet bread, and the meat to bread ratio is spot on. I must also mention the APPLE FRITTER! They are perfect and all their own. My mother will come to visit from Austin and gets about 5 apple fritters to take home with her! Not only is the food great but the staff is so nice. Miss May and her son always smile and are so nice to start your morning. They also give a 5% discount if you pay in cash! Go get you a donut!! read more

This place deserves so much love and support!!! My husband comes here every time he's in town early in the morning. Today I decided to go with my one year old son. Not only were the employees super sweet but I got to talking with who I assume was the owner and he was so sweet and even helped me with a problem my husband was having. Then when I payed and went to leave the woman who checked me out noticed i was struggling so she grabbed my kolaches and donuts and even put them in my car for me while I was buckling up my son. I just did a taste test for kolache's. I went to Donut Wheel, Mayflower and Fresh Donuts. HANDS DOWN Fresh Donuts won in my opinion. I also think they have the best apple fritters. Hands down the best donuts in Huntsville. It seems like they're busy all day and rightfully so. A cheaper and more delicious alternative to Starbucks cost wise it's very affordable. A green tea frap from here is $3.50. At Starbucks it's $5 minimum and up. A breakfast sandwich is $1.69. At Starbucks it's $4 dollars totalling $10. At this place for something similar at Starbucks is half the cost and even more delicious. read more

Ok so I'm guessing the donuts in the area are not good or something but in sorry I didn't enjoy This place at all the donuts are small dry and just honestly not that great granted I'm from Houston so maybe that's why .i got a blue berry a dozen holes one jalapeño cheese and boudin . The boudin was ok but other then that everything was just blah I was so disappointed after all these reviews the place looks like a hole in the wall could be better taken care of you get a 5 percent discount if you pay cash so I guess that part is pretty cool but overall I did not enjoy this but I really wish I did read more
