Here is the thing...In my email I explicitly said "what can you do for "x" amount of money?" I then went on to say "if there is nothing you can do that is fine and I understand". I worked in the design industry for years and my pet peeve was people who wanted the world but didn't want to pay for it. I wasn't asking for that, I was asking for options. To never even respond is completely unprofessional. So, in the final hours I found a different place and only ordered what I knew I couldn't DIY - a corsage and two bouttoniares. This new place treated me like I had just given them a million dollar contract. They wanted me to be perfectly satisfied and they told me so. I felt so "seen" and respected. They asked if I was going to have a bouquet and I said I was but that I was going to attempt to make it myself. Thinking they'd be horrified and I'd never hear from them, like Singing Flower, they said "Oh, you can totally make your own! Especially the kind you are describing." Well, I went ahead and did just that and what I made with my friend was STUNNING and affordable. I will be forever grateful to this other flower shop and I will sing their praises. True professionals in every sense. What Singing Flower doesn't realize is that the company I work for requires the use of floral services and they spend tens of thousands a year. I don't have a lot of money to spend on flowers, but they do, and now I can recommend this other floral shop for their needs. You should treat everyone equally regardless of budget because it is the right thing to do AND you never know who THEY know.

It was gently explained to me that with only same day notice it would not be possible to order truly unusual material, but that they would try to do their best. I gave them a decent budget ($100+ tax and delivery) and said that I understood the limitations. I said I was confident it would be appreciated in any case. And, if it turned out to be better than that, more business would likely follow (as another anniversary was coming a month later). WOW. A home run. Not only did the recipient immediately send me texts of appreciation and surprise, she had to struggle to identify three of the flowers, which almost never happens. The main arrangement lasted a week. The recipient then subdivided the arrangement to serve as a gift for another friend, while keeping some for themself. I was explaining what happened and she clearly cares about her business a lot but was very defensive and ended up calling me nasty, saying she doesn't work with people like me and hanging up on me twice. She kept saying she was trying to find a solution but over and over all she said was I was wrong and the order was fine - that she made it herself and her husband delivered it. Finally she offered to call her husband to make sure he delivered them and said she even had a picture which I was grateful for. When I asked for the proof it turned out it was the picture from Zillow. She also lied about handing up on me and then did it a second time. I'm just kinda blown away by how ill prepared she seemed to handle a pretty standard customer service issue. She even said at one point this has never happened before so maybe I am the first time something has ever gone wrong but WOW it was handles poorly. From the start she viewed me as someone there to attack her or criticize her when I was just reading the facts of the events and looking to understand what had happened. Anyway my mom got her flowers two days late but truly that would have been fine. I guess the main takeaway of the review is I'm sure they are great if nothing goes wrong but if, like me, you are aware that sometimes stuff happens. This is not the spot - they are not equipped to do any level of customer service.
