Do not go to this unprofessional site!! I was a previous patient I went once and never returned. Management speaks to receptionist like garbage because front desk was unattended yet that one person was doing 3 jobs while everyone else including management was hanging in the back. I also asked a question and asked to speak to management she was very rude. I heard them discuss among themselves out loud personal patient information . Also one receptionist was making fun of a plus size patient walking in. Body shaming so unprofessional. I asked for a high management contact and they refuse to give it to me. read more

The Receptionst and staff at freshpond road physical therapy are amazing people. They are kind, warm and very helpful. The physical therapists have been extremely helpful and caring. Teaching, showing and explaining to my daughter strengthening exercise to relieve her terrible back pain. Definitely would recommend Freshpond road therapy without hesitation. I went to this Physical Therapy place for a back injury years ago caused by a bad dance/stunt fall because it was conveniently located. I recently returned to get more information since I was planning on going back for another issue I'm having 'Plantar Fasciitis' so I approached the receptionists asking them questions and for starters they had no idea what I was speaking about and to top it off I asked how long the manual therapy was and she said "What Therapy" I was done Immediately walked out and will never again walk in. Although the therapists are excellent for front desk staff leaves much to be desired. Ms.Tan the owner is constantly rotating desk staff leaving too much room for miscommunication, unnecessary phone calls, mistakes in appointments. Ms. Tan should train new employees at each facility and avoid these issues. I do not like the annoyance of the ongoing problems with the front desk staff. read more

On Thursday, March 31, I felt a slight soreness-type feeling in my upper right arm. Two days later (Saturday), I couldn't move my right arm. I couldn't take off my shirt or put it on without taking a deep breath and squinting. I have no idea how it happened. I remembered a friend raving about Fresh Pond so I went in late morning because I was in pain. Liza massaged the knot out on the upper part of my right arm, spread the knot out so that there would be bloodflow in the upper area of my arm. She would lift my arm, ask me to slowly bring my arm down as she was holding it. She treated my arm for about 45 minutes. After we were done, she instructed that when I get home, to use a tennis ball and rub my arm on it against the wall throughout the day for 15 minutes until I felt better. When I got home that afternoon, I didn't have a tennis ball but used 2 big socks rolled up like a ball and rolled it against the arm of my sofa (the wall didn't work). I did it throughout the rest of the afternoon and evening. When I went to take a shower that night, I was able to get some movement back and when I lifted my arm, it wasn't as painful. I didn't have to hold my breath. I continued with my arm rolling on the socks against the sofa for the next 2 days. After the 2nd day, I felt like a BRAND NEW person. I couldn't believe it. I had total movement of my arm again. It was a miracle. Seriously, I'm not exaggerating! I remember saying that I will never take my arm for granted because I never want that feeling again. But if I have anything like what I experienced, I would definitely go back to Fresh Pond! Special shout-out to Liza!! You're a miracle worker! read more

This place is terrible. There is no space to move around so you can't do the exercises properly. Plus, it is not one-on-one treatment, more like one therapist treating 10 people all at once. I feel like this place is for people who need to pretend they go to physical therapy for court cases. If you legitimately need treatment and actually want to get better, I would suggest finding a place that provides one-on-one treatment. Also, be careful here with regard to any out of pocket copayments. They overcharged me and won't give me my money back. Check with your insurance company to make sure you are not being overcharged. read more

I've had quality physical therapy in the past, but this place provides none of the services I've come to expect from routine physical therapy. The things that are clear from my experience going here twice a week for 6 weeks: 1. Despite scheduling my appointments for the same time every week, a different therapist was assigned to me nearly every single time I came in. That means no monitoring of my progress. Worse, it means I received over half a dozen different opinions (often contradictory) on what I should be doing to recover from my routine surgical procedure. 2. The only consistency across the various physical therapists I worked with is that there is very little priority placed on understanding the patient's background, carefully assessing their current condition, and providing individualized treatment. Don't expect them to have read the details of your referral. Don't expect them to take notes about your condition or progress, vital information for the many other therapists you are bound to see in your time here. Don't expect them to actually use their hands to evaluate your condition. Don't expect them to stay with you while you are doing your exercises in order to monitor whether or not your are doing them correctly. And definitely don't expect them to have the time to spend doing any kind of individualized hands-on bodywork (e.g., deep-tissue massage, dry needling, etc.). At best, they'll hook you up to the electrodes and ignore you for 15-20 minutes, then rub in some biofreeze gel, and just when you think they're about to spend some time on your body, they'll get distracted by one of their other 5 patients and disappear for 5 minutes. 3. Granted, some of the therapists are knowledgable and talented, but they are overworked, mismanaged, and generally spread too thin. A few explicitly told me that they wished they could spend more time with individual patients, but they often have too many to look after at a time. There are much better physical therapy options out there. The only reason I could see going here is if it happens to be located within a few blocks of where you live, and your injury prevents you from traveling any farther. read more

THIS REVIEW REFERS TO THE METROPOLITAN AVENUE LOCATION I have a L4/L5 vertebras too close to each other (perhaps hereditary, getting worse with age, herniated disc and several other inherited back issues). I came to FP PT with debilitating lower back pain, 6-7 on a scale 1-10, which was making me unable to do daily activities, waking up with back pain. The Receptionists are very helpful. My insurance did not immediately send the approval, so they helped figure it out, so I could continue my PTs without a delay. The therapist does a great job. The massages I received each time I had a session were excellent and were relieving my lower back pain immediately as well as had a lasting effect. All other elements of the session were combined into an approximately 40-45 minute therapy including "electrodes"/warm pad (15 min.), massage (10-15 min.), exercises using props, stretching using the gym equipment as well as a special type of bike. I did adjust my lifestyle in order not too waste the results of hard work, but a month of PT sessions, 3 times a week paid off. My pain is down to 1-2 on a scale 1-10. I sleep better, my back is stronger and can actually do more without feeling the pain after each, small physical effort. read more

The entire staff at Fresh Pond Physical Therapy are not only friendly & compassionate, they are all extremely knowledgeable, experienced professionals who go above and beyond to help their patients feel better than when they walked in. In the few sessions I have had to date, I definitely feel much better than when I first hobbled in on my crutch with a 3 month old fractured ankle. If you need physical therapy for whatever ails you, I highly recommend Fresh Pond Physical Therapy. I would like to also mention that the wait time is minimal, a few minutes at best, whereas a lot of other facilities sometimes keep you waiting well past your appointment time. read more
