Our family works with 2 hygienists for cleanings, Viktoriya and Kelly, both are top notch and work with extreme attention to detail! I have recently completed phase 1 of a tooth implant process. It happens to be one of my very front teeth and you can imagine how vulnerable that might make you feel. Dr. Kwong is the dental surgeon that did the procedure and I was nothing less than blown away at how easy and painless it all was. I experienced virtually no pain during or after the procedure. There was very little swelling and absolutely no bruising. At the moment I am fitted with a temporary tooth as the grafting takes place, I will get my permanent implant in July. I'd say he is extremely good at what he does. And I would also have to mention the women who run administration, Michelle and Karolina. Awesomely competent and well organized, super friendly too. As is everyone in the office! Karolina was also the assistant during my implant surgery and she was fantastic! This is an office that runs top to bottom like a high end and well oiled machine. I've had bad experiences as a kid/teenager. For weeks, and hours leading up to the appointment, I was getting anxiety and my husband reassured me I was in good hands. My first experience was with the front desk, and the young ladies were lovely and genuine. They had my insurance set up; I didn't need to lift a finger. In LESS THAN 12 hours I got my return from Sunlife (benefits company). It was so simple and quick! The actual office is state of the art, quick, and effective. Everything including X-rays are shown up on LCD TVs in front of you so you know what the dentists plan on fixing or improving. I had Kelly as my dental hygenist. She was kind, relatable, understanding, and empathetic. Did I mention she has a great sense of humour? She was professional and made me feel super comfortable. She demonstrates a true passion for her role and her attention to detail was impeccable. She also explained what plaque and tartar was and how it could impact teeth and gums. During the cleaning process I was fighting to stay awake! I was so relaxed I could have taken a nap! She gave me the remote to the TV and I watched TV and relaxed while she did her thing. Normally I would be gripping the edge of the chair in fear. Dr. Ma is very friendly and understanding. She has a great sense of humour and does her best to make her patients feel welcome. You can also see the openness she has with the hygienists and the sense of partnership they share. The experience from beginning to end has really reduced my fear of dentists and have already booked future appointments with anticipation. I am young and wanting to protect my teeth for decades to come. They have really changed my view of someone putting hands and loud gadgets in my face. We've been looking for a new dental clinic since our go-to hygienist retired. Not completely…read moresatisfied with other dentists' results in the interim, we scheduled an appointment at River District Dentistry after reading about the clinic online. One of the big draws for us was that they use the latest technology for their dental work, which was detailed on their website. I'm happy to say our search is over as we were very impressed with the new patient overview and initial teeth cleaning. The entire staff was welcoming and made us feel right at home. Jesse and Amanda are two of the friendliest receptionists I've ever met! Niki was super nice and very patient as she guided us through the introductory process (consisting of panoramic + standard angle X-rays, full dental photos, questionnaire & dental review with the doctor). Victor and Shannon, our hygienists that day, were extremely thorough during the cleaning process and never made us feel rushed. There are two doctors at this clinic; we met with Dr. Biddle during our first visit. I immediately appreciated Dr. Biddle's method of presentation as he was going through the review of the new patient questionnaire and dental images. He took the time to really listen to my concerns and never seemed pushy with any procedure he mentioned. After presenting all the facts, he gave his opinion in a non-forceful manner, then truly left it up to me to decide if I wanted any procedure. I say "truly" because even though any dentist will need to abide by the patient's choices in the end, their method of "recommendation" can vary greatly. My regular dentists at the previous clinic were extremely pushy about getting all sorts of dental procedures done. This urgency made it seem like my teeth were about to fall apart, which was odd because overall I felt they were relatively healthy with some minor issues. I didn't appreciate this insistency of dental procedures at the previous clinic as it made their recommendations appear to be money grabs from insurance (I'm not sure if this was the real reason, but it sure came across like that). Dr. Biddle was nothing like this at all and gave us really good vibes right from the beginning. As suspected, the overall health of my teeth was confirmed; I just needed to keep an eye out for a few problem areas. The clinic itself was warm and welcoming. Even though they've been in business three years already, the place looked brand new and sparkling clean... a great reassurance when allowing someone to probe your teeth and gums with publicly-shared instruments! We will definitely be long-term patients here and are extremely thankful to the staff for providing such a great experience at, who would have thought, the dentist!

Brand new dentist in the River District area. With a new office comes fancy new equipment and tech and young staff. Really great reception team. Always friendly and welcoming. The medical staff are also very friendly but they're all very young and with that comes lack of experience. It's not a bad thing but they haven't caught anything my old dentist would have caught (or scolded me) on. They are very efficient so I'll continue to come here. I recently contacted this office for a nightguard replacement that lasted about six months before breaking. The lab agreed to replace it using the existing scans even though it was just out of warranty, but I was not given a time estimate for the replacement. Two and a half weeks later, I contacted the office and was told it would take another week. Two days later, I was in the office for a CT scan in preparation for implant surgery and was given the nightguard that was supposed to take another week. Four days later, I received a message from the office telling me my nightguard was ready for pickup. In subsequent conversations with the office, I have been told that they did not speak to the dentist and did not know I had picked up my nightguard, that the new nightguard was actually a repair of pieces of the old one (which is impossible because I still have it and was told not to return it), and that they don't know whether I was given someone else's nightguard or whether the lab made two. In addition to the above, when the hygienist was doing the CT scan mentioned above, my hair got caught in the machine, and it was pulling so hard that it was very painful. I told the hygienist to stop the machine, and she responded that she could not - once it starts, they cannot turn it off. In my searches online since that visit, I have learned that every dental CT scanner has an emergency shutoff and is required by law for patient safety and to guard against radiation leaks. The only possible explanation is that the hygienist did not know how to operate that function on the machine. I was charged $200 for the scan and had to make two phone calls requesting a copy before being told that a CD had been burned and I could pick it up. After this office visit, I received an email and a text message asking me for my feedback, and I sent the above information in response. To date, I am still waiting for a reply. In my conversation with the office, I received explanations, including "Our corporate office looks at those once a week," "My manager has been away," and variations on that theme. Given the slow response to patient concerns and the speed at which I was asked to pay for the painful CT scan, I feel more like a paycheck than a patient.
