My experience with Amberton University has been very strong. I did extensive research before I…read moredecided on a master's program at this school. There were a few aspects of the university that made me decide to go with their program. Top of the list was excellent reviews by current and former students. Next, I wanted a program that would be extremely challenging, as I wanted a high quality education from a regionally accredited university. Last, I needed flexibility within my work schedule to be able to do my writing and research when I wanted. For me, Amberton fit all of these requirements. I am about halfway through my MS Human Resources, and I have been extremely pleased with the professors, and the education I have received. My GPA is high, but I have worked very hard for it. This school is not for the faint of heart, so be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to your class on reading and writing papers. Also, you must receive a 92% to achieve an A grade, 82% for a B, etc., and during undergrad I was on the standard scale of 90-100% being an A. The only reason I did not give Amberton five stars is due to their current online interface. Although they have made large strides in the past year to upgrade the online experience, there is minimal use of multimedia and interactive resources. Being a smaller school, I understand it takes a large budget to get there, but in my opinion this is the one area their programs are currently lacking. Once they fill this gap, it will be a five star experience. All in all, the education I have received has been extremely valuable, as I can apply it in real-time at my current position. I recommend this program to anyone who is serious about their academics, and wants to use their degree to succeed in the future. I'm very confident my degree will enhance my ability to be promoted in the future.

Amberton University is a school for working ADULTS. It was great to go to school with people my own…read moreage. I liked that this school didn't have excessive fees for things I didn't need. Parking is free, there is NO gym, and everyone is a commuter. All classes are in the evening, on Saturday mornings, or online. The professors understand that they are teaching working adults, and sometimes the demands of work or family cause us to miss class. They were ALWAYS willing to accommodate me. I had terrific professors at Amberton. Most of them have been there a long time, and I only had one adjunct while I was there. Classes were not huge, so I felt that I had the opportunity to get to know my profs. They were always available for office hours, which I frequented often. Best part about Amberton--the price. It is so much cheaper than other schools around. I got out of graduate school with no debt. Study groups were abundant. The book store was terrific about buying back my books. The staff was always helpful. The campus is not pretty. There are not a lot of degree choices or elective choices. This is truly a no frills university. To me, none of that stuff mattered as long as I graduated without debt! Check it out if you are looking into grad work or undergrad work.

It was the same "curriculum" every time with the instructor playing the exact same songs from her iPhone. The teacher seemed highly disorganized and overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the administration is not very helpful, either. There was never anyone at the front desk to speak to. We would get calls for absences for classes we weren't enrolled in, get charged for items we didn't receive, etc. I am still trying to get a correct invoice months after we cancelled our membership. Not recommended!

With great instructors one being Mrs. Ke who has been in the healthcare industry for years so she offers great insight on what and how to do it. A lot of places focus on getting you in and out of a program, but with Legacy you can always return or call for more information and help. This is a place where personal connection to your environment, fellow students, faculty, and staff MATTER. Here the "we care about your child" isn't just spoken, but lived, at every single level of the University. College isn't for everyone. If it's for you (or your child) check out Texas Wesleyan if smaller CAN be better - smaller campus, smaller classes, more tightly reigned focus (after all who really needs a degree in 20 different Chinese dialects?!), and a staff that knows your child's name. This isn't A&M; this isn't TCU. This is like Cheers in a sense - everyone will now your child's name and will do everything they can to make sure they succeed. This is the right fit for my bright, communication-focused, self-directed child; it wasn't about whether he was a big fish in a small pond, or a small fish in a huge pond. This is about finding the right-size pond where he can thrive. I believe with my whole heart that TX Wes is that place. There's a Rosedale Renaissance going on; I can't wait to watch this place and its community get better and better!

Texas Wesleyan is a small Univeristy,the classes are challenging and the professors on hand and…read morehelpful. Howver, it is not a Christian school by any stretch of the imagination. The professors are are almost ALL liberal thinkers and Marxist. Critical Race Theory is pushed in almost every class. 1619 is not condemned as fiction and questioning professors blatant biases is mocked. Some classes are even proudly anti American. It is not a safe place for conservatives not Christians.
