I have been to many local markets, but Hawks Run still thoroughly exceeded my previous expectations!! It feels like a vintage grocery store, but with all the modern products you could hope for in the 2020s. Even in February, there is fresh local produce and very high quality foods and natural products. The owner told me that many people shop here for the gluten free options, and I can see why!! There was a thrilling amount of gluten free bakery items (I sampled the chocolate chip cookie that tastes so good you couldn't have guessed it was gluten free, YUM!) We have been shopping with Meijer's for years wherever we find them. Sadly, we don't have one near…read moreus. But this one is near my daughter's house who we drive up to see a few times a year. IF I'm staying with our daughter for a week we will hit this Meijer at least three times and we load up my pickup and bring things home we can't find anywhere else. Ok, a great bakery, good deli, large produce with a larger than normal organic section, far more and better groceries than a Super Walmart too. All the sisal stuff you expect and then more. If you combined the best of Target and your favorite grocery store, Walmart prices, and better trained staff than any of them all rolled together you'd have this Meijer's.
