Nice and bright store. First time I tried their prepared products. I got the last rotisserie chicken, and a bacon potato salad. The salad was more expensive than other market offerings but was worth it. I would skip their chips. It tasted off whether it was stale or due to the preparation process. The classical musicians in the parking lot was a bonus. read more

We do the bulk of our shopping at Costco now, but STILL come to Fresh Thyme every few days for their great-tasting RO Water refills, fresh vegetables (they always have the best prices, best looking produce, and great variety), and SUSHI on THURSDAYS (honestly. I'm a 35-40 minute drive. I can't tell you how many times I've gone and they are sold out on meat that's on sale. Ridiculous. And come back tomorrow, still sold out. Get heat early, still sold out. Sometimes they will do a exchange to a different cut at the same price but I go to buy 4-6 steaks or 2-3 roasts as it's a long driveand they'll give 1. I really love the breads, miss the olives I use to buy and they don't carry anymore. could be one of the best, if they ever get their act together. go to Jewel up on the hill in Rock Island, when they have T- Bones for $6.99 it's meat not fat and they have NEVER ran out, spiral hams were .87 a pound. dont do fresh thyme much anymore, read more

Literally the worst customer service. Iv called and spoke to management before and nothing improves. To me this shows lack of encouragement and training from managers. As soon as natural grocers adds some more items I can't wait to be done with this sad having bad attitude store! It's been two year last and nothing is changing with customer service. read more

Fresh Thyme is one of my favorite grocery stores in the Quad Cities, but unfortunately their customer service is horrific. This especially true of the deli meat counter which is hardly ever manned. The last few times I have been in Fresh Thyme I had to request service. There is especially one male worker who is discourteous and totally worthless. I have had this employee walk away from myself and others. In closing, Fresh Thyme will not be on my list of grocery stores. Total Zero read more

I have been here 3x since they opened under a week ago but have been following the Des Moines store online for months in anticipation of this location opening. The Quad Cities has been in need of this for a very long time--a chain natural foods store that has the buying power to offer great sale prices. I will still shop at Greatest Grains in Davenport and the natural food section at my local Hy-Vee, but it's great to see some competition. If you are expecting to find all of your specialty items that you travel to bigger markets for, you may or may not find them, but for the general public, this is a great introduction into organic and natural foods. From their abundant produce area to the onsite butcher, this place has a lot to offer for your organic and other healthy food needs. The olive bar is a must see! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, sale prices are pretty fantastic on produce, and they have a wide variety of bulk items for sale. Don't forget to sign up for the loyalty card to save some extra money!! read more

Couldn't have loved this place more! I had just gotten roped into the Whole30 program when a sudden trip to Moline happened. Oh no! No Earthfare, Whole Foods...or Publix? Costco maybe? Nope. As luck would have it, I was directed to Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in Davenport. And here's the thing...It was better than the previous three I mentioned. Everything about this place was great. Of course...the offerings are number one...and they were that indeed! Couldn't have been better. The guy at the meat counter couldn't have been more helpful. He was great to chat with, discuss the products and their ingredients. Great employees make for happy customers! The layout of this place is second to none. The open layout was incredible! Such a great flow and the open concept of the store actually feels like a farmer's market. The prices are what you'd expect for a store of the like...but the service and layout stood head and shoulders above the rest. I liked it so much I had to buy a pint glass with their logo. Ok...maybe I just really like pint glasses. Either way...this place is great! Try: Uncured bacon (maybe even sugar free if you're adventurous) Avoid: Not a thing. This place is great! read more

This is by far my favorite "healthy options" store in the Quad Cities. Their prices are reasonable, always something on special. Their staff is friendly and helpful. I love the fresh pressed juice and appreciate the broad options, even for gluten free vegans. read more

I really do love Fresh Thyme! I've made several trips since their opening last month. I enjoy everything about the store. The sandwiches are wonderful. The bakery has a nice variety of fresh pastry, but you'd better get there early. The salad bar looks fresh and well stocked. The fresh fish and meats are wonderful. The produce (the real reason I go there) is vast and varied, fresh and fairly priced! Great selections of pantry goods, granolas and seeds. A great supplement/health section. Basically everything you need. Oh, and the staff... there actually is one and they answer your questions too! I know! Crazy huh? Customer service. Who would have thought? read more

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this store! First, the staff is always welcoming and extremely helpful when looking for ingredients that you need that might be completely unique. I was looking for ingredients to make tiramisu and the gentleman I talked to knew exactly what I needed and everything was extremely affordable! Second, the individuals who work at the meat counter are exceptional. They are extremely friendly and always pick the best from the selection they have rather than just grabbing what is closest and easiest, which you actually don't find happens as much as you would like at other stores. Lastly, their deals are insane compared to other stores in the area. Wednesday's are the days to go and you will seriously not find better deals and fresher produce anywhere else! read more

This place is fantastic!! I have been there 7 times in the last month. All the produce is displayed wonderfully, very inexpensive compared to other grocery stores in town. Last week they had 77 cent fresh pineapples! Unheard of!! I buy all my produce there now. They even have the multi-colored rainbow carrots! Makes such an appealing side veggie at dinner. The bulk anitpasti bar is wonderful. All sorts of olives, marinated mushrooms, delicious things to try, The deli carries the high end Boar's Head brand quality meats and cheeses, fresh sliced after you order. The pizza building station next to deli looks excellent too as far as variety of ingredients. Also some unique prepared salads in tubs such as cranberry citrus tuna salad, Thai noodle pasta salad, greek chicken salad, old fashioned egg salad, macaroni, and potato salads. Bulk olive oil, honey, canola, and balsamic vinegar dispensers that you fill a plastic container as full as you want for bulk price. Only downside is there are 8 checkouts total and tend be long lines. Go on off peak hours like afternoons. They also serve pizza and sandwiches, a wonderful salad bar, and offer seating area at front of store or outside on sidewalk. read more

This market is amazing. Finally we have a place that has great organic produce at affordable prices. Everything is always fresh. I was tired of being gouged at the other grocery stores in town for the same products. My brother lives out west and this market is very similar to markets we go to when I visit him. There is a problem here shoppers should be aware of. I was buying something at the deli and there were flies. Two of them repeatedly landed on the pizza. When the clerk came back, I pointed this out to her and also that since they were landing frequently not on the pizza, she could easily kill them. She said they are not allowed to kill flies. I asked her if they were going to sell that pizza and she said yes. If you are going to buy something that's not covered in this store, I'd definitely look around and see if there are any flies that day. Otherwise, everything at this store is fine and I enjoy shopping there. read more

I've been at Fresh Thyme several times including opening weekend. I think this store could be outstanding, but poor customer service at the checkout is a huge problem. Cashiers seem to feel I am interrupting their day. And managers are unwilling to help or take responsibility for problems at the checkout. Frankly, I don't know how people can move any slower with no interest in the customer standing in front of them. The cash register froze up tonight and the manager told my daughter it was her fault for putting her card in too soon. Really unbelievable response. When I tried to discuss it with the manager she said it was 'not her fault.' I equate that to 'it's not my problem.' I'm going to HyVee. I've popped in here about 4 times since they opened. Absolutely beautiful veggie dept. I love when they have items on sale, the prices tend to be a tad too HIGH normally priced. They make wonderful asiago bagels, and the artisian breads are great. It's a nice store & they've had plenty of time to settle in. YET I've seen it the past 3 times out of 4 I've been in the store, items are not being restocked.... The common every day things. Also veggie bags and twist ties depleted, none to be found, just an empty holder. Even at the bulk bin foods section, no bags? I think management needs to really stay on top of these things, this is one very busy store, and keeping it stocked to keep up with the needs of the QCA. It's a bit far from where I live, so I do not like having to go back the next day and see if the item was stocked yet. Be VERY careful in the parking lot, people drive a little, well a lot wild in there, they go pretty fast & aren't paying attention when you back out (tight spaces). Also walking from the parking lot into the entrance, they speed in front of the store, so be safe. So all in all a very nice store, very nice employees, but please management keep up restocking it, this is a high demand store. :-) read more
