I love Fresh Way Produce and have been a regular customer for almost 10 years. Conveniently located on Old Canton Road between County Line Road and Lake Harbour - it's easy to get in and out of no matter where I'm coming from. Family owned, the staff there to help you are either the owners, a family member or just really great staff that's they hire. They're always eager to help you find what you need and haul it to your car. From fresh shelled peas, beans, squash, onions, potatoes, lettuce (whew can't name all the veggies) and a variety of fruit to cheese, sausage, milk and a huge assortment of jams, jellies, pickles and relishes - Fresh Way is my second grocery store for essentials. This is a small, overpriced "boutique" open air produce market. Much of the produce they have on display appears to be of quite decent quality, but the selection is poor, and the prices are way too high. You get a much better selection and deal from the farmer's markets, open air markets and individual farmers abundantly available in the area. But what they do sell seems to be in good condition, and I get the impression that they have sufficient turn-over of stock to keep the produce fresh. And it is convenient if you live in the Madison-Ridgeland area. read more

Best produce place by far. They have great fresh produce, gorgeous plants, great Mississippi made items as well. Try the eggs, cheese, milk and ice cream as well! The staff is very helpful as well. Fresh Way Produce is great place to get fresh peas and butter beans. I also buy their local honey, Vidalia onions, spicy pickled peaches, and comeback sauce. This is a precious produce, plant and garden store owned by a very nice Christian family. All of the staff is extremely helpful, knowledgable and friendly. It is certainly convenient to those living in the Madison-Ridgeland-Reservoir area, and I have never felt the selection was lacking. It may be higher than the downtown Farmers' Market, but it is a small, LOCAL business, and as such, deserves LOCAL support! read more

They always have the first "real tomatoes" each year (bright red when you slice them & very flavorful). I am in 100% agreement with Sydney A. I bought a watermelon here on April 13, 2013. My daughter had bought one and it was very good. I got home and mine had huge yellow string down the middle. Being that I paid SEVEN dollars for this melon, I contacted the owner to ask if I could bring this one back and pick out a new one. Her response "No, we don't except returns, with watermelons, it is a hit or miss thing and it's up to God how they come out". SO THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCE...I asked if I could check the next one out before leaving...NO was the answer..at least Kroger's allows you to check it first....SO after being a loyal customer of at least FIFTEEN years...they have lost a customer. NO BIG DEAL they have plenty of business BUT if they treated all of their customers this way...they may not be around. WILL SPEND MY HARD EARNED MONEY AT THE MARKET IN DOWNTOWN JACKSON....I say SHAME on you for treating your so called valued customers this way....BUYER BEWARE read more
