My boyfriend and I went in before the end of 2025 for bikes. The owner was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of info. We eventually purchased 2 bikes that day. We went back at a later date for help with adding a part to the handle bar of my bike and suddenly the owner was no long that friendly, helpful guy. He was rude, arrogant and unwelcoming. When my boyfriend returned to pick up the bike, he noticed a visible chip on the paint that was not there when we dropped off the bike. It was obvious by the location of the chip paint that the handle bar had been dropped and caused it. My bf is so detail oriented that he was able to point it out before taking the bike. The owner simply said, " idk what I can do for you." That days experience was such a turn off that we will be taking our bike business elsewhere from here on. Bought a Tuesday brand bike here because they don't carry and Schwinn bikes just fyi. Had problems with the chain falling everytime I go fast and run over a crack and not pedaling but just cruising . Called the store to see if they could fix my problem and the person was very rude and said they would back up the bike and put chain back in. I said the chain is already back in. When all the other bike shops are closed on MLK day guess who's wide open for business? Fresno Schwinn. That's who. My first bike was a schwinn and I loved it. Now 60 years later they're still selling schwinns. And today I had the pleasure of dealing with the store manager John Pulido. I brought in a flat tire wheel and all and without making me wait John tore into it and had me walking out the door with a big ol happy customer smile plastered on my face. That's right. Crazy Bernie is now a customer for life. Actually I can't wait to thank them by buying one of those beautiful beach cruisers they've got on display. We walked here for excercise the other day. The sales people were knowledgeable and friendly. Also worth noting I live life with a Service Dog and this place gets 4 paws up. No access issues at all. I was gifted some bikes and needed tires and tubes. I was able to get everything I needed in one fell swoop. Their prices were competitive with other sources and I felt better shopping local. I had went to this location a week or so ago. Didn't have a great experience so I went to Walmart instead. I went into again today to give them another try. I told them the dimensions of my bike and got nothing but "that's not the size tire you have. No way that's the size." After showing them that they were in fact wrong with a picture I didn't even get a "oh my bad, my be a older bike." I got sarcasm and snotty comments. I stopped in looking for a basket for my new tandem bike. Merry Christmas to me! They had a good selection and I found a really cool basket that will be perfect for my little doggie. Came in to buy inner tubes and they were so rude to us. We bought the inner tubes and the guy was rude and cold. Didn't like questions at all. We needed handle grips and another set of inner tubes for a second bike but the employee had already walked away. (Not to help anyone else which would have been understanding, just to show he was done helping us) As we were leaving we heard another guest experiencing more poor service. We left and went to the Bike Shop at Woodward. (They were warm and welcoming) Funnily enough the other guests ended up at the other bike shop and shared they also felt unwelcome at the store. I was looking for a cruiser style bike with gears, and had checked out all of the major bike shops in town. After seeing the prices at all of the major stores, I checked out Schwinn Fresno, and they had the same bikes, but the store was actually willing to work with me on the price. I was able to get the bike that I really loved the most at the other stores, for a great discount. The bike came with the same warranty as most of the other places as well. I researched Bikes for about a week and had narrowed my choices to about 6 or 7 models at 3 Other bike shops and at REI sporting goods. A good friend suggested I also check out Fresno Schwinn, which I hadn't considered because I wasn't interested in a Schwinn. So two Fridays ago I hit the road in search of a nice "hybrid" or "urban" bike for a decent price--not a Walmart special but also not something made out of Unobtanium and priced higher than my first new car. I checked out Fresno Schwinn first and was glad to see at least three other brands besides Schwinn. The guys there were really helpful as far as helping me decide on frame sizes and such and were happy to give me firm OTD ( out the door) prices for a couple of models with the added equipment I wanted (heavy duty tubes and anti- puncture tire liners, rear rack, and rear cargo basket. I left and checked out two other bike shops, both of which were North Of Herndon. The folks at these shops were fine and helpful, but their pricing was about $80-110 more for bikes comparable to those I'd shopped at Fresno Schwinn. I went back to Fresno Schwinn and bought my new Raleigh hybrid/urban bike, with the extras I wanted added on, to be picked up the next day. I've had absolutely no problems--my bike was perfectly set up and adjusted when I picked it up, and Fresno Schwinn gives their customers a free annual tune up for as long as they own the bike. Went in to look at and talk bikes, new and to ask about the value of an 09 madison. Went in was really put off by SOOO many non Schwinns in there. Then I heard it. some random guy arguing LOUDLY back and forth with the shop worker(probably the owner) about loan modifications. They were getting loud and angry as they hassled back and forth. never was I greeted or spoken to, I was standing around looking at mid range bikes for about 10 minutes. Went in the store 2-15-2021, was greeted, was asked a few questions , was informed that they don't have a supply of the size that would be ideal for me, and, upon learning that we were not ready to make purchase today, salesperson literally turned his back, stepped aside and stopped talking to us. No interactions until we left the store. Google led us Dicks Sporting Goods and we walked out with a bicycle for me and hubby, helmets, and bike carrier.
