We were oh so happy to discover a Freson Brothers location on our recent hockey adventure to Drumheller. Nestled inside this location is a Starbucks AND they had a hard to find studded lilac cold tumbler my friend has been looking for!!! The main reason for ur visit was to grab lunch in between hockey games. My kiddo was beyond satisfied with the in house fried chicken and momma was happy with the sides - I always love the root veggies and baked beans. We got the family meal and it was more than we could eat - even with a starving hockey player, lol. I'm happy eat in dining was allowed - Freson Brothers dining is always comfortable and easy. I appreciate the self serve water and coffee station. Two thumbs way up! We will definitely be back on our next adventure to Drumheller! (So why 4 stars insured of 5? Grocery prices here are higher than average. So if cost if your biggest concern, I wouldn't pick this as my one stop shop. What a beautiful store! That might seem like an odd way to describe a grocery store but it is one of the most visually appealing grocery stores I've ever seen. All the baking supplies are in a kind of faux pantry simulating one's own kitchen. The produce seems to be displayed by color so one is surrounded by reds, greens, yellows and more. There are many many local products from produce to jam to locally roasted coffee. A giant candy section includes old-fashioned to most recent candy with everything in between. Always been happy with the cleanliness, friendly staff, delicious produce, meats...this is my goto grocery store.

Staying in the hotel next door, I was looking for somewhere to buy sunscreen and milk. I literally went in this store five times and I was just there for one night. It has EVERYTHING!! Obviously the grocery stuff is there but the choice is awesome, lots of fresh fruit and veg. But thy have a selection of take out along the side with pizza, Chinese food, fries etc. We had the Chinese meal for two and it was honestly SO MUCH FOOD. It could easily feed three adults at least. We came home with a lot of leftovers but it was all really delicious especially the ginger beef! They have a massive toy section which was a surprise and I really wanted to buy my daughter all of the drawing kits they had. So much fun! I was so impressed. The pharmacy is excellent too. A really handy place if you are from out of town and need to pick up groceries to keep costs down on your trip. But seriously there is no need to go anywhere else you can get everything you need right here. I was so impressed! This business is totally on the dinosaur band wagon as they have a giant T-rex head on the wall at the entrance. Awesome place. read more

Sadly for the other business in town but iga has the best Chinese food. Always fresh and delicious.

Greasy Chinese food with minimal protein and maximal breading. Also overpriced like everything else in the store. Very disappointing.

This IGA is the cleanest, most friendly, and orderly grocery store I've been in!! Congrats to all who work there - job well done!!!
