I'm going to give it an overall 3 star rating...some items were pretty good but a few missteps…read morethroughout. The wife cake: thick slice of melon when others are cheap, flaky but not too thick crust, enough sesame taste gets 4.5 stars. Baked BBQ Roast Pork Bun: the photos of grey filled buns were off putting and it did disappoint! Not filled with traditional saucy chucks of red pork, this was more like a sweet onion bun as there was barely any pork, bread is thick and heavy as opposed to traditional milk bread which is lighter, gets 1 star. Coconut bun loaf: I've never seen them this small, the width of 2 fingers was nice but a bit cheap and plain with the filling which was sparse and a creamy paste, while others have crushed peanuts and coconut, this gets 2.5 stars. Green leaf wrapped sticky rice stuffed with pork, salted egg, sausage, and either peanuts or green beans. The pork was under seasoned and a bit on the dry side. Sausage was a weird texture that disintegrated in your mouth. Salted egg yolk hard. I would not buy again, gets 1.5 stars. Egg tart: the BEST I've had since Hong Kong, perfectly cooked custard but the pale pastry shell is undercooked and still raw, otherwise it would get 5 stars. Pop it into a toaster oven and you will not be disappointed!! Sesame ball: too thick and doughy, the red bean is not very sweet, gets 2 stars Fried Meat Dumpling: very generous with the filling, a touch sweet but a little too thick and doughy, gets 3.5 stars.

Getting birthday cakes from here has been a tradition for many years. The bf will not accept any…read moresubstitutions when his turn comes around each year. You have to call ahead to order a birthday cake, and they come in lbs. We typically do a two pounder mixed fruit cake which lasts our family a good week or so. The quality of their cakes have been hit or miss these past few years. We've had a few from here that have been very dense and dry. There is lots of selection for their Chinese buns. Their hk style pineapple buns are the bomb! I also love that they have sugar coated deep fried donuts on a skewer (one of my many guilty pleasures). I love the satisfaction of selecting my buns and bringing them up to be packaged. I get tingles just writing about it. Finding parking to come here is a challenge though. Should you want to park, either be ready to fight for a spot or park on the street. I've gotta tell you though, I think it'll be worth your while.
