I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got the chance today. It was a great experience all around. The ambiance was very pleasant, everything was clean, service was great and, best of all, the food was delicious. I lived in San Diego for 20 years, ate and loved a lot of fish tacos while there so I ordered (grilled) fish tacos with a side of black beans. They did not disappoint, best fish tacos I've had since leaving San Diego. The fish was perfectly cooked, the seasonings were great, the corn tortillas hot and fresh, and they had a nice assortment of sauces. The avocado lime sauce paired perfectly with the fish. I'm not a huge black bean fan but these were really tasty. My wife is a picky eater, not big on Mexican food beyond the traditional seasoned ground beef so she got the traditional soft taco (seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cheese) and she loved it, even the cheese, probably a queso fresco but not sure. Oh, and the basket of tortilla chips served with salsa, they were great too. Still hot from the fryer, they were thick and crispy and the salsa was nice with just a little kick. We love this place and will return whenever we're in the area. I'm hoping to convince them to make me a "surf & turf" type burrito with carne asada and shrimp. read more

Great little Mexican restaurant with a modern spin on your typical menu. The friendly staff has always taken good care of everyone regardless of the size of our party. Food is good. Free chips and salsa. I have been here a hand full of times and tried every style taco on the menu, all great. Their fajita burrito is very good and a treat alternative to a typical fajita plate. Was just passing through town and saw this little shop. On the outside it looked busy but not necessarily anything special. When I got on the inside I couldn't definitely tell that this was a special place. The people eating were happy and laughing, the staff looked like they were enjoying working as well. I had the cowboy burrito, it was probably overkill but the menu description sold me. It was very tasty and the bacon was a nice touch to the already meat filled burrito. Plenty of options here and just being there definitely made my day better. I'll be back! read more

Went on a Thursday night. The place was decently busy and stayed that way for the 45 minutes or so that I was there. I was greeted and seated right away. (Note: There are tables/picnic benches outside for outdoor eating as well.) Was quickly brought ice water and fresh (warm) chips and salsa. I ordered the fish tacos (order of 3). They were very good and the chipotle mayo sauce gave it a great kick. I also liked their side of rice too; it was great with their house made salsa on it. I will definitely return. I highly suggest giving this place a try. Need to support good, local small businesses that are supporting their communities. read more

We have driven past this little taco stand a few times on our way to Springfield and decided today to stop on our way back home for dinner. Boy are we glad we did! The food was authentic and so delicious. We've eaten our fair share of Mexican food far and wide in our travels, including Puebla, Mexico. This is some of the very best we've found in the US. Very good food for this area, seasoning on steak quesadilla is awesome, birria tacos are good but lacking salt. We have had the steak horseshoe and a steak baked potato which were both very good as well. They have horchata that I don't enjoy the taste of but my boyfriend loves it. Service is decent, have never had a bad experience. Decor is cute, the dining area is on the small side, but they have outdoor seating also. read more
