The love of Chef Joe Friday for burgers made him establish this @fridayburgerco, serving handcrafted burgers, chicken sandwiches, classic milkshakes, sides and fries. I would describe the burger as juicy, moist, fresh and tasteful. I had banana pudding, Friday fries, burger bowl, Mississippi mud pie pudding and Friday burger. You need to try it yourself at CIBC @tablefoodhall , 81 Bay Street, 4th Floor, Toronto, ON.

I like the thickness of the Friday Burger ($14) patty: it's not overly thin for a smashed burger so there's still a meaty feel. It just needs to be pressed more evenly as the thin outer ring became awfully crunchy... to the point I was afraid I'd chip a tooth on some bits. The rich but not overly greasy patty started the burger in the right direction but could use more flavour. Mine didn't have much sauce and the dusting of signature spices wasn't prominent either. And while I enjoyed the traditional lettuce and tomato combination, the burger would benefit from more pickles (there was maybe one that became lost in the sandwich) and adding onions to give it some crunch and freshness. I read that what makes Friday's vegetarian burger unique is it's made from mushrooms that's dried and then rehydrated for a meatier chewier texture. Expecting it to be in a patty form, it was a bit surprising when the mushroom burger ($15) ended up being strips of portobello stuffed into the same bun, lettuce, and tomato combo. It's simple and works, but the texture no different from a grilled portobello mushroom cap. Share the fries ($4.50) as the portion is huge. Being a crinkle cut, the spud incorporated a lot of crispy crust. Sprinkled with a bit of the Sunday seasoning, it gave the fries enough flavour without becoming too salty. If you're feeling very indulgent, amp up the fries for an extra $1 to become "Friday" fries where it'll be topped with the mayo-based burger sauce and green onions.

came here for lunch with a colleague! I tried out the double Friday burger ($17) and fries ($4.5). The burger was well made. Juicy, filling, and super fresh. I also found the crinkle fut fries very crispy and tasty as well. Overall I found everything pretty delicious and filling but it was a little bit pricey ally things considered. It is a good burger but expensive considering there was nothing that put it above and beyond.

We wanted to grab a quick bite for dinner and hamburgers sounded like a good idea. Friday Burger is located in the CIBC Square and it took a bit to find it. The restaurant is located in a food court like area among several other restaurants. You order your food from the register and have a seat and wait for your ticket to be called. There were many places to sit and it took a short time for our food to arrive. The burgers and poutine were delicious, though the tenders were average. We would return if there weren't so many other places in the city to try. All in all, the burgers were good and were worth the stop.

A really good smash burger. I had the one with two patties, it was full of flavor and the right amount of cheese. Onion rings were also good and a nice size portion.

This place is owned by Chef Joe Friday who specializes in burgers. You can taste the chef's passion in burgers with every bite. Their smash burger is well seasoned and grilled perfectly. The sauces and other ingredients adds extra flavour and texture to the burger. Their fries are well seasoned and crispy.

The food was great and quick service! Ordered the friday burger and fries. Id order again with no salt on the fries but the portions of the veggies were nice!

They're serving next level combos. We tried: Friday Burger Bowl combo & Double Friday Burger combo. Both were packed with flavor and huge portions!

There are benches outside and counters where you can stand and eat, giving it a casual, quick-stop kind of vibe. It's also part market, so you can browse a selection of goodies while you're there. I got 3 sandwiches for me and my family (4 people including me). What we ordered: Mona Lisa: 8/10 For both of the sandwiches the bread was very fresh and delicious! They make them fresh for each order and you can taste the quality. The flavours in the Mona Lisa worked really well together, I loved the truffle cream and burrata. Torino: 7/10 This sandwich was also good, but the I felt like it was lacking something, especially compared to the mona lisa. The spicy eggplant just tasted like plain pickled eggplant and wasn't that spicy. I feel like both sandwiches were a bit salty due to the prosciutto, and were missing some sweet or acidic element. I added some balsamic glaze and hot honey at home which was great! The portion sizes are HUGE, the 4 of us were quite full after splitting the 3.

I've had their cheese pullapart loafs as well as danishes previously before, however, this time I was at the store for a free cinnamon bun as it was a free birthday reward for being a member of their Cobs Club. The cashier was friendly and asked if I wanted either a cinnamon bun with icing or plain. I opted for a cinnamon bun with icing and she put it in a box for me before handing it over. During my time at the store the place had a steady flow of customers, coming in to buy baked goods. My cinnamon bun was big and tasted great! I heated it up a bit when I got home. I agree that the price for a sandwich plus side salad is quite pricey ($13 including tax) but I like the fact that everything tastes fresh and light, and you have alot of options to customize your sandwich in a healthy way. I ordered the rosemary focaccia with chicken breast, arugula, avocado and chipotle spread plus their usual sprinkle of salt, pepper and squeeze of lime. It's like a gourmet sandwich - the bread was thick, soft with hints of rosemary and yummy. The salad was mostly arugula with carrots- this was very lightly seasoned but at least I won't be hit with itis going back to work! Definitely would come again, although not regularly since it's kinda pricey.

I'm going to continue with my overtime take out review series with Sandwich Box. You would think making a sandwich is probably not the most complicated task out there, but this place seems to get it all wrong. My order consisted of an egg salad sandwich on whole grain bread with a side salad. When I received it, I only got the sandwich and the restaurant failed to tell me the salad was no longer included in the combo (yet the price remained the same). That's great that the online menu was not updated to include items no longer available, a simple update would address all these problems knowmsayin? Now on to the actual sandwich, the bread was thick. I mean so thick it looked like there was about a half an inch of eggs inside of two encyclopedias worth of bread. The eggs themselves, totally flavorless and bland. Kinda hard to mess up an egg salad sandwich right? Even Tim Horton's can get that right! To make things short and sweet, I'll be looking over this option the next time I'm working late or considering a sandwich in the downtown area.
