I had an interesting experience. Let me tell you about it. I called and asked if, I could drop off my SUV. He said, they are already full. He offered to get me in at 8am or in the afternoon the next day. I said, I'd be there in the afternoon. I went up there and he said, they were full, then another guy said , they were full too. So, that left me w the impression they didn't want to do it that day. I decided, I wouldn't push it but, I did let one of the guys know. He told me to come back at 3ish. I did and he wasn't there but the other guy took care of it. There was one other car ahead of me and then he said , he would get to my vehicle and it would take 45m. He timed it perfectly. I was thankful about his honesty regarding wait time and completing the Oil Change in 45. The waiting room is small with a few chairs inside and is not that cool. It may be because it's a window ac. Also,They have not paid their Netflix account so, you can't watch Netflix but they have Tubi and Roku. There was a Nigerian lady talking on speaker phone and another guy complaining about how he should have been informed about the services before being charged. I agree w him. I brought it to the service advisor's attention that, I may not need an Oil change. I just assumed so because, my maintenance light was on. He said, he would check it . I expected him to explain why it needed to be changed or show me but, he didn't? He changed it and I found out, it didn't need to be changed. My oil is changed every 10k miles. I didn't receive a receipt either. I don't know what kind of oil was used, how many qts were used. He also removed my oil reminder stickers wo asking. I wanted those for my records. He also, messed with my dimmer knob so my Control Panel was dim. Ugg, so uncomfortable. The Service Advisor was knowledgeable with Groupon too that's a plus. Their Internet was slow so, I had to go outside to redeem by Groupon. Also, the parking lot is pretty full so space can be tight. The music is cranked up load in the shop too. So, if your ok with this type of atmosphere come here. If, not look elsewhere.

I have no doubt that they can do a good job, as seen with these other positive reviews, but in the same manner that they are professionals in this field, I am surprised they did not find anything wrong with the master cylinder, which does have a direct influence on the clutch. Dave mentioned multiple times that his men did not find an issue with the cylinder at the time of inspection, so "technically" they did their jobs. I should point out, that Dave also said that they test driven it by 10 miles. 10 miles and no issues apparently, yet 2 miles of our struggle before the car gave out. I attached 2 new photos showing the odometer. Unless the paper printed on the day I picked up the keys aren't up to date (and if so, why was I given paperwork that's not up to date?) I am hesitant to believe the car was test driven. Since it's far, I suggested that he give other auto repair shops a chance, something he hasn't done before since he knows that finding a good mechanic is hard. Same here, but we wanted to have hope that his car can be fixed properly in Fort Worth. We thought wrong. Upon arriving, the men were very nice. Because their customer service skills were great, we assumed they were going to do a good job. My boyfriend even spoke fondly about Ichiban Autos even before repairs started. The men at the front were also responsive, informing us of the costs, labor, & parts that need replacement. Take a look at the photos for the amount of things replaced. Cost? Over $2k. And because Ichiban closes on the weekends, you'd think they'll make sure their Friday clients would be ensured that their cars would be drivable. Unfortunately, not us. As my boyfriend was flying back from a work trip, we couldn't get his car till 10 PM, long after Ichiban closed. At 10 PM, we retrieved the car, excited to drive it when... HIS CLUTCH IS LOOSE! Both of us tried it and it feels wrong. NO resistance on the clutch pedal, and he couldn't put the shifter into gear! How is this acceptable! He managed to drive the car off premises but as he got closer to my apartment, literally 2 miles away, he had stopped because he couldn't change gears anymore. That's right, 2 MILES by 11 PM, my boyfriend and his car remain stuck on the side of the road, parallel parked at some street and praying that he doesn't get towed. I did not pay over $2k just to retrieve a car that's not operating properly. Did anyone even test drive it? You guys had the car from Wednesday till Friday. Called me at 9:30 AM stating it's ready, and I didn't even come till 2 PM to pick it up, giving you guys plenty of time to test drive/check for any errors/tighten any loose ends. Since Ichiban is closed, our night, our weekend, is ruined. I really wished I could've given this place 5 stars, the men were nice but the service we received is unacceptable. A simple clutch check/test drive would've signaled to you guys that something is off. Ichiban Autos, we are extremely disappointed.

I went in on Saturday, August 15, 2026, knowing that I needed an oil change, oil filter, and engine air filter. I had also gone a little over on my air filter, and my check engine light had recently come on. I had already checked my truck on the diagnostic machine at work and knew everything was okay--the air filter was simply due to be changed. Honestly, I went in expecting that I might get the usual upsell: someone telling me I needed a diagnostic test, additional services, or repairs that I didn't actually need. That never happened. The young man who helped me, Ethan, was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and honest. He checked my A/C cabin filter, showed it to me, and explained that it should be replaced. I said, "Okay, let's get it done." And that was it. He never once tried to upsell me on anything else. I got my keys and left. I drove to pick up my daughter, and after the truck completed its normal reset, the check engine light went off--just as I knew it would. I actually went back afterward because I wanted to thank Ethan personally and give him a well-deserved tip. That's how impressed I was with the service. If you're looking for a place where you can get a good oil change, be treated with respect, and not be pressured into buying a bunch of things you don't need, come here and ask for Ethan. To make things worse, at one point we even locked the keys inside the car. It was one of those days you just don't forget. The entire team stepped up in a huge way. They helped us get the car unlocked, made multiple trips to the parts store, and even stayed late past closing on a Sunday evening just so we could get back on the road and make it home that night. They were so patient and kind with us -- especially with our kids -- which meant more than they probably realize during such a stressful day. What really surprised me was the bill at the end. With all the extra effort and the situation we were in, they absolutely could have charged a fortune. Instead, the price was more than fair and honestly much less than I expected. If we lived anywhere near Haltom City, they would be our go-to shop without question. Truly good people who care about their customers. Highly recommend!

I am not a mechanic, but here is why I recommend Lowetech to ALL of my friends without reservation. I took my car for an oil change (at one of the chain oil change places) and they gave me the usual laundry list of services my car needed. A couple of them seemed fairly serious, so I took it in to Lowetech and said, "The oil change place said I need this, and you guys don't charge as much as they do. I need to get this done." Dan laughed and said, "We'll check it and see." They checked and said there was no problem with my car. I walked in, ready to pay, and they said, "No issues here. No charge". I got my car hung up on a driveway leaving a driveway with a drop off I did not see. Had to have a tow truck lift me off the curb so I was concerned about damage under my car. Took it to Lowetech and they put it up on the lift, checked it, said "No issues and no charge." Last story. I had a Chevy Malibu with a leaking radiator. I tried to pour sealant in to fix it without reading/understanding the very clear instructions, "Do not use this product if you fill your radiator from the overflow tank." Needless to say, I caused some damage to my car. Lowetech quoted me a price and went to work. Short version: one problem led to another on my car, and it took much longer to work on/fix than expected. I was prepared to pay MUCH more in labor charges, but they honored their original price. The only reference I have for price/value is what the oil change places, and dealership quote me (when I go in for recall work). Lowetech is always WAY cheaper. But the most important thing to me is integrity. So what if they are $50 cheaper than the place down the street if they are telling me/charging me for services I don't need. The Lowetech guys are men of integrity. I will continue to take my cars and send my friends there, gladly associating my name with their work.
