Worked extensively with Kristen on a New Honda NC750X DCT, as a gift for my girlfriend. She was absolutely super in handling much of it over the phone, as Honda's inventory was slim with all the local dealers. She immediately made me feel comfortable and confident over the phone there'd be no shenanigans over pricing, as I'd experienced with another multi outlet dealer, trying to charge me 2023 prices for a 2022, and another moto dealer only calling me to criticize Friendly Powersports "that it would take me forever to get it". Total nonsense, as Friendly expedited the accessories I wanted to add, via EXCELLENCE, let me repeat STELLAR service from parts manager Brian, who worked in perfect unison with Kristen, to meet my requests. This was NO EASY TASK from Honda, as Brian had to decipher what was available in the US, versus what Honda only provided in un-updated US catalogues. It was a task above and beyond, for which I am greatly appreciative, as the bike turned out PERFECT! Aaron, David, and especially Dustin put the bike together with great professionalism, to my total expectations, making the NC 75O the perfectly set up, with the accessories, at a great fair price (thanks to Kristen, Dustin, and Brian)...thanks to their sharing the enthusiasm over getting the bike looking sharp! My jetski had an unknown problem. After researching the few shops that worked on my Yamaha Waverunner, I settled on Friendly Powersports in Slidell and was not disappointed. Friendly exceeded my expectations for the time required to complete the repair, the quality of the work and they completed the work at a fair price. Not my normal experience with service! They do business the way it should be done. I'm very glad I choose Friendly. My primary point of contact was Dustin the service manager. He was awesome as was the other service staff I spoke with. Dustin and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, informative and patiently answered all my questions during the repair process. When I brought the jetski in, Dustin gave me a great overview of how they handle repairs and then lived up to his promises. Dustin was very upfront about the cost to diagnosis the problem and the steps to repair. After the problem was identified, Dustin gave me a call as promised. He explained exactly what the problem was and gave me a fixed price for the repair. He said that after my approval to go ahead with the repair, the parts would be ordered and the work performed. Estimates for the time to receive the parts and complete the work were spot on. When the parts arrived at Friendly, I received a call that the parts were in and the repair would only take a few days. The repair was completed faster than expected, and there were no surprises during the entire process. Used to go here to order parts, didn't even mind the higher prices cause I had piece of mind knowing they ordered the right part. Service just went downhill completely, if the older guys isn't there to order parts none of them want to do it. If their computers are down and you can't pay, they tell you to come back when the computers are up. Back to ordering online for me, the young bucks behind the counter need to learn how to say hello, and just overall be nice in general, you're in service! read more

Kristen work great with me on my new bike Sportsman 850 trail. Even though we had to wait on my bike to come in she kept me informed on the status and updates on when my bike would be in. I brought in my bike for a factory recall service. The job was replacing the fuel float switch and fuel pump on a motorcycle. They replace the pump and ignore the fuel float switch completely. Well a year later I have the same issues with the fuel light staying on and sure enough they didn't replace the plastic float switch with the stainless steel switch. Sure enough when I call to ask about the issue they can't do anything about it nor do they have my part or want to take any responsibility for it. They kept the new stainless float which I'm pretty sure is theft. I would not trust this place to work on your motorcycle. Also they scratched my paint and tried to cover it up with some greasy wax thinking I wouldn't see it. read more

I always give honest and fair reviews. This isn't really a bad review as we just couldn't work out a deal. I met Heather who appeared to be the only sales person on the floor and was very busy. She was nice and quite helpful. I was able to test drive 3 motorcycles and decided to make an offer on a 2013 Honda 500. The asking price was 3,999. I offered 3200 because it needs 2 new tires, ( 595.00 ) has minor damage on left side where previous owner must have dropped it and both counter weights on handle bars are loose and coming out. I thought 3200 was a fair offer but they countered with 3799 with no other offer. Unfortunately I left with a bike. Hopefully Heather will get a raise ! read more

We purchased a Honda 1000-5 Deluxe today. We live in North Louisiana, and we had price shopped locally. We decided to wait to purchase until we made a trip to New Orleans so we could actually compare prices in person. By far, the best price was at Friendly Powersports. We bought a 2016, which was discounted a lot. It was used as a demonstrator and only had 11 hours on it. Our salesman was Max. He was very knowledgeable. We looked on Tuesday and narrowed our choices to 2. We gave a $500.00 deposit, and Max put this on our debit card. We were told it was non-refundable, and we were all right with that. We told Max we were not going to finance and this would be a cash sale. We assumed we could use the debit card to complete the purchase since our $500.00 deposit was put on our debit card. At no time did Max mention that a cash sale had to be a check or actual cash. We had been gone from the dealer for about 15 minutes when we realized that Max had not returned my husband's drivers license. We had to turn around and go back, which made us late meeting a friend in New Orleans for dinner. Wednesday morning, I called to ask Max if a $1500 rebate I found on the internet had been included. He said it was, although it is not reflected anywhere on the paperwork. So, I told him we would buy it. Max said it would be ready by noon. We left NOLA and drove to Pearl River to purchase a trailer we had located. We were at the dealership at noon. Max had forgotten to trade the windscreen for the windshield. This was all right because we had to meet with Todd to complete our purchase. We were about to pay, so my husband got out his debit card. That's when we were told that using our debit card would add 3% to the purchase, nearly $500. The nearest branch of our bank was in Gulfport, MS. We ended up driving (pulling our new trailer) the 50 minute drive (one way) to Gulfport, MS. Before we left, Todd fussed at Max for not telling us that we couldn't pay cash with a debit card. I used to be a boss over 90 employees. I was always told, "Praise in public, criticize in private." I felt sorry for Max, even though he should have told us. Before we left for Gulfport, Todd said he would find a gift or something to give us for our inconvenience. We we finally left the dealership at 3:26PM today with our Honda. Max had apologized several times. Todd didn't even give us a dealership hat. I didn't ask for or expect a gift. Mistakes happen; however, don't say something and then not follow through. We will get home about 3 1/2 hours later than we had hoped, and we have an ice chest full of shrimp that we picked up in NOLA this morning that we will have to care for before going to sleep! In closing, this has been a very frustrating experience. I didn't like being present when an employee was scolded. I don't like that the itemized sales receipt does not reflect the rebate. I feel sure it is there, but it should be on the line titled 'rebate.' I think we will be pleased with the Honda, I'm just not sure the savings was worth the hassle and being made to feel uncomfortable. read more

The actual dealership business is okay, but they are also friendly ppl. I own a cruiser and they don't sell any cruiser gear. If they sold female helmets and gear than I would have more things to say... But they don't. However, I spend more time and money at the mechanic shop. They are very good ppl and I really like and appreciate them all. I trust Pearl (my motorcycle) is in good hands when I have to leave her there. The diagnostic fee is expensive, $89. Friendly's Power Sports is anything but friendly. Why would someone have to make an appointment for service and when you drop off your motorcycle for such it sits for over 24 hours untouched? I tried to drop off my motorcycle on a Monday and they said I would have to make an appointment for Thursday. I dropped off the motorcycle at the appointment time. They wanted to charge me for a diagnostic check for the bike that was already done approximately 5 months prior. I did protest slightly but acquiesced. The bike was to receive an oil change and tune-up as well as the diagnostic check which was already conducted (we still had the paperwork). I called several hours later to check on the status as I had not heard from them. The service department told me that he (the mechanic, I suppose) had not started on it yet. I had to leave the bike there overnight and borrow a vehicle from my brother to get home. The next day I had not heard from them and it was already 2PM. I called and they again said that "he" hadn't even started on it. Why do I have to make an appointment to let my vehicle sit for 2 days? This makes no sense! Then I said, "Never mind, I'll come and pick it up." When I arrived to pick it up, I was nice and simply stated that I was there to pick up my keys, No one apologized for the inconvenience and the clerk told the other, "you know about this one?" indicating that I was somehow the problem. I was warned by several people to avoid this place because of their terrible customer service but I decided to form my own opinion. Well, my opinion is formed. My brother asked about purchasing 2 sets of motorcycle mirrors and was directed to a man, possibly David (not sure). He asked about mirrors and he acted as though he was inconvenienced by the question. Would not point my brother in the right direction. Simply stated in a mundane and boring, almost annoyed tone, "we can order them for you." Unless you are purchasing a vehicle they will treat you like shit. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COST!!!! read more

DO NOT take your bike here to be serviced or repaired- Besides taking over a month to fix the kickstand and chain guard- they dropped the bike- caused all kinds of additional damage and then turned around and put it on the insurance. Talk about FRAUD- we are currently fighting the additional $1,200 in charges! read more
