Ok, This may be long. Only because how impressed with this dealership. From a guy that has owned 11 Harley Davidsons from the late 90's. Every motor all the different flavors. So back to the praise. I bought from 8 different dealers from multiple states. I moved a lot in 40 years. I have purchased 2 bikes from Mike Bruno in the last 3 years. Both times it was a seamless and wonderful experience. Bubba delivered the first bike and went over it completely. Now to the new bike. A 2023 Nightster Special. OMG how fun. But the first ride I had an engine light go on. CONCERNED. Called MD. Suggestion was get home "we will take if from there. The same day Bubba was here picked up the bike. Day later informed me it was some old codes in history. Bikes ready to be delivered back home. 2 days!!! If you ready for old fashion customer service for your Harley Davidson. My choice is Mike Bruno even if it's a 50 mile ride. !!!!! Thanks Guys...... Very happy with the cashier Ana and the salesman Gage. Although we were visiting from Los Angeles, Gage treated me as if I was a local interested in buying a bike. He explained the pros/cons of the new Livewire electric bike and the new 2024 Roadglide and Street Gide CVO. RIDING ACADEMY REVIEW: PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS RIDING ACADEMY if you want a true New Rider Course learning experience. The instructors here only want to pencil-whip the endorsements. I used to be a major supporter of this dealership since Hammond H-D was closed, but I do not think I can continue to do so as a result of this experience; nor could I support Freedom H-D in Baton Rouge since both are franchise-owned by Mike Bruno.My fiance needs to obtain his endorsement for his job in law enforcement since his department is planning to expand their motorcycle division. I highly respected Northshore H-D, and I recommended he go here to get the education and certification he had been seeking for years now since Hammond H-D in our hometown was closed. The experience he went through has been heartbreaking, as I now have a whole new perspective on franchise-owned dealerships; but has also become expensive since he will be going to another academy in order to get what he needs. Here we go: When my fiance went to the class the first time, he was having a few issues here and there trying to adjust to the HDX bike and gain stability. Instead of working with him and addressing any issues beforehand, or offering assistance and feedback or how to adjust, they told him to go home and reschedule because they "didn't have time to deal with him since it was a large class (10 people)." He was slightly offended at this and extremely confused because he was under the expectation that these "instructors" would be there to help him. He never became hostile or belligerent, he simply continued to express his confusion as to why he was being kicked out of the class within 45 minutes of being there after paying $200 for an education. The instructor over the class then told him, "Look, I see you're law enforcement, so I imagine you know what's going to happen when I call the cops to get you out of here." What made this comment necessary? He was confused as to why he paid $200 for a New Rider Course that explains the following on the Northshore H-D Riding Academy site: "Never ridden before? Want to get your license? The New Rider Course will lead you through the steps to learn to ride a motorcycle and get you on the road... Learn to ride on a genuine Harley-Davidson® motorcycle; Learn to safely accelerate, shift, brake, and turn, along with maneuvers like controlling skids and surmounting riding obstacles." First of all, most people cannot LEARN something if they are not TAUGHT properly. As a high school educator, I can speak from experience. I would NEVER let my shop students touch our various saw tools until they know the fundamentals of it, watch a few demonstrations with explanations, and have me right at their side to provide guidance and feedback. None of this was provided to him during his first jab at the class. The only thing given to him was hollering, complaining, condescending commentary, and extremely unnecessary threats. Unacceptable. We called H-D Support over the issue, and this was the true "education" of the entire experience. The person we spoke to was ready to solve the issue and give a refund for the course so we could try elsewhere, until she found out it was a franchise dealership. She explained to us the following points: -H-D provides the framework and expectations for their riding academies. However, they do not have control over what the franchise dealerships decide to do with that information, and many of those academies tend to either make minor changes or major overhauls to the New Rider Course. -The franchise-owned dealers/riding academies are notorious for kicking people out of the classes and telling them to keep coming back when they "have more time to work with you." Some people have called H-D Support with complaints of being told to leave and reschedule their classes up to 5 TIMES! -They cannot provide ANY REFUNDS for the franchise-owned riding academies. The dealership themselves has full control over refunds, and Northshore H-D refused to do so; explaining he would have to come back the following weekend for another class. As a police officer, his schedule has him working every other weekend; making it extremely difficult to play this rescheduling game with the instructors. read more

Always a great experience at Mike Bruno's Harley. Ever since I got my 2021 Pan America back in California, I've had a love hate relationship with her. Finding a dealer that knows their way around a Rev Max engine and this bike can be challenging Lucky for me, after this military move to Louisiana, Mike Bruno's knows what they're doing! All the service dept guys are great and have my full trust and confidence with my bike. They've been able to work through a slew of issues that all my previous dealers and techs in Cali had been struggling with. And after working with multiple dealers from the east coast to the west and Okinawa, Japan, they have my highest recommendation for any service and parts department. Although I haven't purchased a bike from them, they've certainly won my business if I ever decide to part with my PanAm. Going to buy a Harley for sure. Also, for sure it's not gonna be from here. I went in and told they salesman and manager two things. I told them what bike I was interested and told them I wanted an put the door price. I told them three times what bike I wanted. They showed me all sorts of bikes but not the one I wanted. I told them I was only interested in buying new yet they showed me numerous used bikes before they even let me get near the new. I told them I wanted an OTD price. Never got one. I was told what a down payment was and what monthly payments were but was never told a final price, an interest rate, or how many months those payments were. They could not tell me the dealer fees and such or even the price of a service plan. The salesman told me hey had a used bike on sale for $7,500. The manager told me to different prices on that at same bike, neither of which were close to that sale price. The salesman didn't really seem to know much about any of the bikes including the names of the different models. And strangely he was bragging that he was going to go get a Honda not a Harley. Not real great for business I didn't appreciate getting picked on for wanting a sportster. It's the bike I want and since it's only for around town it's all I need. The price given to me was what i needed and agent (Zach) was nothing but professional and courteous. In-fact, the manager, finance were friendly and professional. Total waste of time and gas. The first sales rep doesn't know her inventory. The second rep said he'd have the bike out front for me to look at and check out - and it was in the back on the mechanics rack torn apart for service.... told them my price range and what I was looking for and said they had several options; didn't have 1. I understand sales but lying to have a potential customer go an hour round trip isn't good business practice. I fire my sales reps for that - and I sure don't let them do sales without knowing our inventory. The reason I give it 2 starts and not one is because it seemed the mechanic was going through the bike since they had to reassemble it. read more

Well sails was a bit confusing but I'm very glad now that I've been around. That I got my first Harley here now I mind you it was a bit bumpy at first but hey that's everywhere my point is if I had a problem they jumped on it if I had a question they got it answered and when they do bike nite or customer appreciation night they go all out at first I was feeling sorta left out but now I have to say I'm proud to have got my first bike here after dealing with other dealers this place is the best and I'm going to buy everything from here no kidding read more

Worst dealer ever i took my wife to get a new helmet they told her it needs to be tight we bought it she had it on for like 10min and she was almost in tears it hurt her head so bad! We called and asked if we could just get a biger size and they wont do anything for us just said we should of got the right size but the manager us the one who told her it needed to be very tight! I was riding through and the starter on my bike went out, the staff at the shop, went above and beyond to get me back on the road. They drive 45 mins to pick up a part and then back 45 mins. Then installed it. They even called me the next day to check that I made it back to Houston before the storm. Great group of guys. read more
