They ruptured my dogs ear drum when cleaning her ears and it was a nightmare getting it dealt with. Apologetic at the time of service, offering to help her heal through the process and full admitting of the mistake. During the process, kept charging me for visits and medication and I asked why, they did the damage so why am I paying? Thje push back started. They started saying they didn't do it, they said they partially did it, they said it was my fault, they were gaslighting like crazy. I had to say ENOUGH and push back real hard, threaten to sue. They provided the meds and checkups but at this point, I was done and started seeing another vet. The dog has always had issues with her ears from then on, this situation really makes me angry.,

Animal Care Clinic was able to fit us in the same day. From the veterinary technician who took Milo's history and vitals to the veterinarian, Dr Hockenson, who examined him, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and respectful. The veterinarian was thorough in her evaluation and explained the situation clearly. Most importantly, she was honest. She discussed diagnostic options but did not give us false hope or pressure us into unnecessary testing. After examining Milo, I asked Dr Hockenson for her professional opinion regarding euthanasia. She agreed that it was the kindest option given his condition and supported us through that difficult decision. The staff first gave Milo a sedative so he could relax and be comfortable. Throughout the process, both Dr Hockenson and technician showed tremendous compassion. They gave us the time, privacy, and support we needed to say goodbye. I cannot thank them enough for the care they provided to Milo and to us on a very difficult day.

Lisa always immediately stops what she is doing to greet you and treats your dog as her own. I felt there was serious professionalism on everyone's part and was very appreciative when we left with antibiotics and medications and thorough instructions from the Dr. on how to treat Abby to make sure that we didn't end up with a serious flareup happening. I am incredibly grateful they were, because the care I've received here has been exceptional. Their staff took wonderful care of my elderly cat until his passing at 20 years old. When I came to them with concerns about his quality of life, the veterinarians were compassionate, honest, and clear. They did not sugarcoat his condition, but instead gave me all the information I needed to make an informed and humane decision about euthanasia. That transparency meant everything during such a difficult time. They also helped me arrange private cremation services through a third-party provider that travels up from the Cities once a week. I was able to choose a wooden urn, and while the process took about two and a half weeks due to the holiday season, the experience was handled with care and respect. The third-party service provided a tracking link so I could see where my cat was in the process and also shared grief resources, which I deeply appreciated. When his cremains returned, North Country Veterinary promptly called me to let me know they were ready for pickup. Now, the same clinic is caring for my new puppy, and the experience has been just as positive. The staff suggested enrolling in their Paw Plan, which has been a great way to budget for routine veterinary expenses, including neutering. Having predictable monthly payments makes it much easier to ensure my puppy gets all the care he needs. The clinic also sells pet food, standard medications, and offers a convenient online portal to order or reorder prescriptions and everyday necessities like flea medication. I highly recommend North Country Veterinary to any new pet parents in the area, as well as to longtime pet owners who may be considering switching vets. A nightmare experiance of dealing with phone staff that don't know which meds their clinics do and do not carry and will confidently provide wrong answers, vets who try to substitute meds without reviwing charts rusulting in them perscibing meds that would have caused potentially lethal drug interactions (Dog was fine, I caught the mistake before administering the med), and them forgeting to order the agreed upon med rusulting in me getting it more than two weeks late, have prompted me to come give recognition where recognition is due. He also called in the middle of my other dog's procedure to update us on his findings. Dr. Tofteland also is incredibly kind and you can tell she really loves her job. She's never recommended anything out of our dog's actual needs or necessity. Amazing vets.
