It's Friendly's It's good. Not great. Exactly what you expect from a Friendly's. But let's face it: you come here for the Happy Ending sundae (which I wish they'd rename). FOOD: The supermelts and burgers are where this place shines. Since ultimately it's just an ice cream and burger type of place. I rotate between ordering the Hienz 57 burger and the Honey BBQ supermelt. They're my favorites. And they're good. I don't always upgrade to waffle fries, but when I do I get cheese to dip in. SERVICE: The servers are, well, friendly. I usually get good service so no complaints there. PRICE: The 'new menu items' have warranted a small price increase. Now if you want that formerly free happy ending sundae, you have to pay for it. The combos are reasonable priced at $12 for entree, beverage, and two scoop sundae. So it's not a deal breaker. But it was much nicer to get the supermelt and a happy ending sundae for about 30% less $$$. Overall, it's reasonably priced. And it's kid friendly too. Friendly's just reminds me of going out to eat as a family as a kid. So that's nice. OVERALL: This Friendly's is a little dirty-feeling. It may be because the place is outdated and old and a little dirty. But the food is good, service is good, price is OK, and who can say anything bad about Friendly's ice cream? We had soups and sandwiches with fries and it was like waitress Christina knew me, she added honey and lemon to my hot tea which none of the other times I've been here did they do that. If they posted what times the servers worked so if you had a favorite server you could choose the days to go, I'd definitely come here again when she's working. Now this really proves how foolish we are. The celery was brown and rotted on the edges and ends. The ppl cooking here obviously have ZERO care about the presentation. How could anyone put rotten food on a plate and serve it? How does this place pass health inspections? Someone at the board of health needs a swift kick in the pants. I ordered a burger which tasted good and the lettuce was green and fresh, go figure. My girlfriend had a melt of some sort which she said was very good. Fast forward one hour.. We were sat in an area where there were 4 other tables full of kids screaming, the other half of the restaurant was pretty empty. It's a warm night and they didn't have the air on, or at least didn't have it on high enough because it was so musty and stuffy in there. We placed our drink orders and told the waitress we needed a few more mins to look over the menu. She literally didn't return for like 15 mins. We order the chicken quesadilla for an app, which was pretty good except it was brought out and we didn't even have plates or napkins. We had to ask our waitress for them. My husband and I each ordered a burger with waffle fries. The burgers were pretty good but the fries were horrible. Soggy, cold and definitely old. We chose to just ask the waitress to remove them, since they are an up charge and we didn't touch them. When we asked her, said asked why we didn't mention it sooner because she would've brought us fresh ones. That was nice of her to offer, 25 mins later. I WOULD'VE asked her initially except she was nowhere to be found throughout our entire meal. She never came to the table to ask how everything was or refill drinks and I'll be damned if I was going to get up and flag her down. When she brought the check adjusted, she said again, "I wish you would've told me, I feel bad" Well you didn't feel bad when you neglected us for 30 mins. Sorry, it's done.
