I feel like the teachers do a great job at preparing the students for pre-k / vpk and kindergarten, and that it's worth the price of tuition.

She started at TLE 2 years ago after a poor experience at another local daycare. From day one I saw the difference. Not only is the curriculum incredible but the environment and teachers make it unbelievably special. My daughter recently tested as gifted and i owe much of that to her time at TLE. My only wish is that they offered a kindergarten program! The summer camp offered is top notch. The teachers make everyday fun and special. Ms. Skyler is a sweet teacher for the younger kids, Ms. Jess has been a wonderful teachers when our baby was in the twos room, Ms. Kita and Ms. Naya are great at creating routines and structure in the older room. Ms. Salomie and Ms. Wanda are the sweetest and most welcoming teachers. Megan has been a shining beacon in gaining insight on what management is working on and bridging any gaps between parents and staff. The teachers are all very sweet, positive attitudes and try their best to keep children engaged and progressing. They do activities, teach children to use the potty, teach cleaning up after meals, washing hands, taking turns in play, singing and dancing. Our son, like most children I imagine, goes through tough days and good days but I think everyone there truly wants the kids to thrive and so we work as a team to communicate and keep it positive. No system is perfect but communication and live camera access are wonderful things that ensure the children are priority. We even met parents that are now friends of ours and we meet outside of school to have the kids all play. My only critique on the structure is I wish the teachers had more support on cleaning. They do a great job but I think corporate should allocate funds for raises for all staff and for a floater to come in to help tidy so we get more fun time for the kids.

I have never had any issues with this ever before at his previous daycare. Well, his second day back he ended up getting a cut and a black eye basically from "falling" again. I decided to take that day off to watch the cameras to see if they were doing their jobs. I sat and sat and watched the camera. The teacher was grabbing the children(s) arms above the wrist as well as the upper arm and pulling them to sit down. I watch many times the teacher(s) not paying attention and I watched a younger child laying on the floor and then another little girl stomping as hard as she could on his hands, back, and stomach. If that were my son I would have drove down in a heartbeat. I was so excited to enroll him in this daycare however THIS location IS NOT IT. Those two days he was there my child came back home starving literally crying because he was so hungry and thirsty and every time I even drove in the parking lot he would start screaming and crying and saying no no no... I have never ever had any issues like this before. On top of that him being in there 2 days I still paid his daycare fee for the two weeks which is above 300 dollars and they did not offer any composition after stating to me that they would work with me while I got my ELC transferred. Not saying that I need it, but it would have been nice of them to accommodate due to everything that happened. Please mommy's be cautious.

I was referred to Starchild by trusted sources who praised its reputation from 15 years ago, but my…read moreexperience was disappointing. While the curriculum for older kids seems promising, the infant and toddler programs are overhyped and underdelivered. Despite advertising features like sign language or Spanish, only Japanese was offered for babies, which felt less practical for my one-year-old. I delayed enrolling my daughter to save money by transitioning her to the toddler room after her first birthday, but I was still charged the infant rate because of undisclosed milestones like walking and holding a sippy cup. For $1,500 a month, I expected more transparency and support. Cameras are outdated, staff play favorites with babies, and my daughter--who has ASD--was often overlooked because she's quiet and immobile. Babies would crawl and walk over her (literally walking) while teachers played on their phones. The solution was to put her in a bouncer for hours away from the mobile babies. These issues led me to withdraw her and find a better daycare offering one-on-one care and inclusive pricing. Management and billing practices are equally poor. I had a $3,000 balance due to their billing error, unresolved credit for missed weeks, and unauthorized charges. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, my concerns were ignored, and my account was sent to collections without any proper notice--no voicemails, no letters to my house, and no emails. After the manager who initially promised to address my concerns left the company, I was referred to a different billing manager, who also failed to respond to my emails. The lack of communication and professionalism across the board is unacceptable. In hindsight, Withdrawing my child was ultimately the best decision. It led me to a daycare that better supports her needs without outdated cameras or unjustified fees. Starchild may do well with older children, but for infants and toddlers, and children with disabilities it's simply not worth the money. There's no extra attention given to babies or children with special needs. For $1,500 a month, I expect teachers to maximize opportunities for one-on-one interactions, especially during downtime--not leave my baby in a bouncer for two hours while doing paperwork so they can leave early or playing on their phones. Firing one manager didn't resolve the systemic issues at this school because the entire staff fails to follow through.

They love and care for the kids as if they are their own.
