Kayla is the absolute best! She takes her time to get the cut and color exactly the way I want it, she's super sweet and friendly, and always responds quickly when I text and ask for appointments. She asks for pictures of what my family and I want before our appointments for reference so she can have the appropriate color, and have a general idea of what to expect and how long it will take. It started with just myself going to her, but now my kids, mother in law, and mom, (who drives from the bay area to see her!) all exclusively use her for all our hair needs. She is fabulous. I love going to Friend's Salon! Roxy is the best for manicures and pedicures! She's so sweet and can really do it all! My husband knows I love her so he booked me a prenatal massage at Friend's Salon with Jamie Lemoine and let me tell you.. it was wonderful. I LOVED that she had the foam cushion that made it possible/comfortable to lay face down and get a full body massage. Then when I turned over I was still inclined and comfortable with the cushion behind me. She had a perfect amount of pressure for me and made sure everything was how I preferred it. She'd ask questions once in a while about preference but not too many so I was able to relax and enjoy myself the whole time. Her pamphlet says that all of her massages are catered to the liking of her clients. Since I love it, she did some head massaging and even a little of my face. This review is specific to one hairdresser at the salon known as Melissa Jane (Melissa Green). She was supposed to do bridal hair for 12 girls on 7/2/22. My friend had signed a contract with her and put a $150 deposit down. The day before the wedding my friend began to get nervous because she had not heard from her. She sent her countless texts and kept calling her but received no answer back until the day after the wedding. (Although it is worth noting she had posted on her insta story not long before my friend tried to reach out). Her response was that she apparently got the stomach flu and also didn't know that my friend still wanted her hair done because she opted to not get a trial. (In the contract it said trials were optional but recommended). She also tried to say she didn't have information on the location of the wedding. It is interesting to me that someone would continue to hold on to someone's deposit thinking that they had no interest in getting their hair done and also not reach out for additional information if they needed it. I've never heard of a stylist ever assuming someone that paid to get their hair done did not actually want their hair done anymore. It was extremely stressful and we ended up having to get our hair done with last minute girls and the majority of our hair didn't ending up staying. read more

Diane also did such a good job during my visit and did a great job on my eyebrows. I will definitly be back and I highly recommend this place for all salon services. Kara is fantastic at both cut and color. She's consistent, sweet, and doesn't gossip (sounds silly - but that's really important to me). My daughter wanted blonde hair but Melissa talked her into getting blonde highlights which was ok with me. My daughters highlights were ash/silver color. I called the salon to talk with Melissa to have her tone the highlights to blonde, but the rude receptionist, Gina, said she was with a client and will call me back. I never heard from Melissa. So I called my credit card company and requested to dispute the charges. The credit card company called the salon and Gina said Melissa will issue me credit and rudely hung up. They are very unprofessional and don't care about customer satisfaction. I didn't want a refund or dispute the charges, I wanted my 14-year old daughter to be happy and not in tears over what she looks like with this color. read more

I was skeptical about finding a good haircut. I have curly hair and I've had a few bad experiences. Once I find a good cut, I tend to stay with that stylist until they retire or move away. But we moved 70 miles away from my last stylist so I had to buck up and go looking. I try to find salons where the preferred language is English because I have a hard time understanding some foreign accents and that makes it hard to communicate with a potential hairdresser. That brought me to Kara and Friend's Salon. I called their shop to ask about their prices and find out how long I'd have to wait to get an appointment. I told her I'd been looking to find a salon since we moved and that my curly hair had beem difficult for some stylists. The girl who answered the phone (Kara) offered to cut my hair that afternoon or the following morning. She was completely dedicated to getting me taken care of right away. When I came in she listened to my concerns, asked me a few questions, and paid attention. I was done in half an hour and left with a good feeling about the cut. Of course, you can't really tell anything until you wash it the next day and style it your own way. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. She didn't take off too much so I look scalped nor did she ignore my comments about keeping it easy-care. She heard me say that I don't fuss over style and fashion so I didn't want a high-tech haircut that requires special equipment and a college degree. I've had my fill of stylists who want to work out their boredom by making me their guinea pig. A few days later I called and asked Kara if she could put a few more layers in the top section and she did it without hesitation. It's clear that she knows her stuff, hears what her clients say, and does what it takes to meet the need. Don't let her youth fool you...she is a knowledgeable professional. I've already had several comments about how nice my hair looks. Best haircut I've had in years! read more

They are always very friendly. They call to confirm appts (which is nice, since I forget often). Rates are competitive, and the facility is clean and nicely decorated. Diane is great for massage, most anyone is fine for hair. The pedicures are great, but a little pricey. They also offer tanning. Plenty of parking and close to the downtown area. read more

Jeana did my hair I asked for an ombré look and showed pictures. I ended up with half brown hair and half reddish clown color hair on my bottom half! It was hideous!! My bottom half was extremely dry, not only that but she dried my hair and styled it without any product!! No serum, heat resistant spray...NOTHiNG! I will not be going back! My experience was horrible and now i have to get a conditioning treatment done so I can get my color done correctly!! Do not go to this salon!! read more

I have been a customer at Friend's Salon for many years now, switching from California Styling. I find the stylists to be very flexible with my schedule and they do wonderful color, cut and styles. I had brain/head surgery and my stylist washed my hair for me while I was recovering - so thoughtful. I liked the online reservations and the salon has plenty of parking, clean inside... but I wasn't greeted, there was no seating while you waited and the lady that cut and highlighted my hair looked like she just rolled out of bed.
