My wife flew back that day and along with my parents who used to own/operate a funeral home for many years themselves went with to make final arrangements for her Veteran father. Everybody at Mullins could not have been more knowledgeable, compassionate, caring and professional. When I dropped off my father in laws clothing for his viewing they were insightful of everything we needed right down to his eyeglasses. When we had his final viewing, we again had exceptional compassionate care, service and privacy. They were very affordable and handled all the extra veteran needs to include draping an American Flag. During the viewing there was a severe thunderstorm and brief power outages, but everyone was in good hands. We aren't done yet. My father in law will be cremated and his ashes returned to us as soon as his physician signs off on the death certificate. We anticipate a smooth transition of my father in law and his ashes this next week. We would not hesitate to refer Mullins in family, friends and clients times of need. They were very respectful and deserve 10 stars.

Established in 1954, nearly 25,000 citizens are laid to rest here including the cemetery grounds and the large mausoleums. There are dedicated areas for Masons, Jews and Veterans. I had the opportunity to walk the grounds and was pleased. It's in excellent condition with much history. Several sports stars, politicians and yes, the director of several famous adult films. He explained the services that they would perform that basically included everything from beginning to end. I then spoke on Monday with Ashley in the office who took over with all the necessary steps. We needed this done somewhat in a hurry due to us living in CT - Ashley was very thorough and responsive. She handled everything in a timely manner and was very nice to deal with. She sped up the cremation to make it all work out for us and we are eternally grateful. We completed the process with Melissa, a wonderful professional, whose courtesy left us with no unanswered questions. Soon after, by UPS, two beautifully boxed packages arrived. Each contained a helpful assortment of items including a redwood-like container (urn), as well as an excellent book with planning details. Everything was so well organized. If one of us passes away in another state or even overseas, all arrangements to care for the involved are covered, to return that individual back home. Quality: It's not easy to convey the importance of their quality every step of the way. During our session with Melissa, licensed funeral director Ann introduced herself, which was a nice moment. Value: Everyone has to make up their mind at some point regarding these decisions. To leave these difficult plans to your heirs and your loved ones in my opinion is not the best option. Simply making sure that your plans and wishes are carried out entirely as you want them to be carried out,is a gift; to leave these matters to your family in a time of grief can be avoided by preplanning. Summary: While difficult, the step you take in advance of the actual need is a kind act and will be highly valued by those you spare from making tough decisions in the future. Highly recommended.
