It's freaking beautiful no matter what condition it's in. Time forgotten time piece. If you go there notice the bridge line closer to the 75 service road. That line was the Texas Electric Railway. It was built AFTER the bigger bridge and it went out of service around 1948. Dart bought the line just to the south.

All this has been built in the past few years, all at once, like the town had some sort of big boom, and some civic planners sat down and tried to conjure up their own utopia in North Dallas. Parking is easy, there's garages not far from here. There's areas for little shops to give the place some flavor, but it's mostly just a well planned communal spot for events, concerts, shows, farmers markets, and other community events. This is where the courthouse, the library, and the movie theater are all located. Pre-planned to be in the perfect spots. The Frisco Square is a public place that allows for you to hang out and do some of the city planned things for free. They show movies on the lawn, ice skating (for a fee) in the winter with a set up pond. They go all out for Christmas with lights, and visits from Santa. If you work at the local Collin County offices or the hospital, this would be a good place to hang out for lunch break or something.

It must also be very well-maintained, because we've been coming in for 5+ years now and I have never once thought, "Oh, this part here is getting worn down" or is dirty or needs to be replaced. The staff is friendly and genuinely want you to have a good time. We occasionally avail ourselves of the mini bowling and arcade (there are price packages if you want to play multiple things), but the mini golf is our jam. With the increase in businesses and activities, they should have planned for more parking especially garages. Parking is a HUGE challenge almost Californian level. Small local shops, tons of eateries and plenty of space to roam about. The festival layout was well thought out and extended down every main street. I walk by Dog parks, water park, enormous football field, soccer field, volleyball court and basketball court, all your outdoor activities at your neighborhood. I walk the trail from PSA 2 all the way to Veteran park close, and way back! That's a good 10miles. So proud of myself today and will kindly reward myself with some cupcakes! I can't wait to do this more. I want to thank City of Plano for their outstanding service for keeping all these parks clean and beautiful, also safe. Love my city. Come visit City of Plano.

From the adult perspective - the customer service is lacking, the prices are steep and the main…read moreattraction - the race cars, are slow and expensive. The race cars are really the main attraction here and the entire place revolves around the racing. You cannot make a reservation. It's a first come, first serve situation. There are four racing categories (see below), so if you come with a group of mixed ages or heights you may not all be able to race together (I've witnessed this shock when birthday parties assume they can race together). The Intermediate and Junior Races are slower than you'd assume. I could jog faster, but the WORST part is the speed. They go so slow and are controlled so it's nearly impossible to pass another racer or actually RACE! The Mini Mario has some speed and speed is adjusted based on the general age of the racers in the heat. The cost is $29 down to $15, which doesn't sound horrible, but after waiting for a long time for your group to be called and then racing for 1min to 7 minutes, the cost is really high! High enough you're not likely to get in line and do it again. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ugh. There are kiosks and a giant line with actual people at a counter. Don't be mistaken YOU MUST go to the kiosk FIRST and fill out waivers, although there are no signs anywhere telling you that. We've filled out waivers on line before arriving, only to find ourselves at the front of the line and told "we can't find it, now to to the kiosks and get back in line". It's awful. The employees don't seem to like their jobs, or likely are sick of people being upset at them for the HORRIBLE process management has set up. We've never been able to find someone on the floor to help us when a video game eats our money or doesn't work either. The guys in the race area are hit or miss. Sometimes they're patient and kind. Other times they mumble and seem pissed off to be there. GAMES: The video games are the same as other places around town, but after driving all the way out here, searching for parking and then racing for 5 minutes we've always felt like we need to play a few games to make the trip worth it. FOOD: We've never eaten here, but it's basic bar food (hamburger, hot dogs, nachos, etc) and the cost is high for such basic food. We'd rather pay the same amount for better food options in the area. All that to say, expect to spend $$$ to come race, eat and play at Andrettis. Make sure your group has checked the height & age requirements to make sure you can race together. And finally, come with a lot of patience. ----- Race Categories ----- ADULT RACE 7- Minute Heat. And because the walking tour was just my mom and I, he drove us along the route. We discussed every turn, every conspiracy theory and never missed a beat. It was a tour from someone who lives and breathes his job. I will gladly take a longer tour in the future because there is so much more I want to see. Side note: I was impressed with how downtown Dallas preserves its history. Everything along the route was there in 1963. Makes it more personal. We went to all the major sites in just over three hours. Cost is very reasonable($62.99) and I booked through Viator who also does a great job! This tour is HIGHLY recommended!
