I took this tour today with my mother. I did the 1-hour tour of JFK assassination and I wish I could have done a longer tour. Dan...Daniel, what can I say about my tour guide? Amazing!!! The knowledge was there. The passion was there. The interaction was there. My questions were answered. He showed us video footage during our walking tour to back the events of 11-22-63. And because the walking tour was just my mom and I, he drove us along the route. We discussed every turn, every conspiracy theory and never missed a beat. It was a tour from someone who lives and breathes his job. I will gladly take a longer tour in the future because there is so much more I want to see. Side note: I was impressed with how downtown Dallas preserves its history. Everything along the route was there in 1963. If you are interested in knowing the nitty-gritty of Dallas, I would highly recommend fun Dallas tours. This 3 hours tour is well worth the time and money. Our tour guide Kevin was informative and did a great job. The tour covered the entire downtown, uptown and the Highland park villages area. During the tour, we had 3-4 stops. This includes the lunch break at farmer market Dallas. The tour pick up point is at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza. As far as parking is concerned there is paid parking lot near the plaza. Tickets can be easily purchased from their website, one drawback the website doesn't mention about child ticket. Overall amazing experience. read more

Trip was supposed to start at 10. Two guests tardiness meant we did not until close to 10:15. Where I tried to originally sit, there were broken seatbelts. As we are gong on I30 near Six Flags, we hear a large pop. Thirty seconds later, we can feel the tire has had a blowout. It was a bit scary moving from the left lane all the way to the right shoulder, but it got done. We got stuck in between a small opening between the three land highway to the left and an off ramp to the right. It is now 11:10 and the best of Fort Worth that I've seen is nothing more than the asphalt of the highway. Not the most comforting feeling having traffic whiz by on both sides. Makes me wonder about the maintenance history of the van we are in. * I should also mention if all had gone to plan, we'd have lost more time because we had to drop off people going to the Cowboys (NFL) stadium. Four hours might be 1 at best. Because we've been sitting here for over an hour, we missed the cattle run at Ft. Worth. The thing we really wanted to see. At first, they wanted us to wait for the tire to be changed - more waste of time. Fortunately, they had another van come out and I had to insist we change vans. Completely disappointing and waste of money. Update. They only offered us 50% off for the hell we went through. When I insisted it should be fully refunded and they should feel lucky none of us were hurt or killed, this was their response "Please do not take advantage of that situation what we have. If you'd like to continue that's fine we will give you a 50% off if you cannot the guide would not able to have you with him" How am I taking advantage of a situation that the company created by having an unsafe vehicle transport us? I took the 3-hour JFK assassination tour with Matt, and had THE BEST experience! I was nervous venturing out separate from my family, and this tour was actually PERFECT for it. Matt was very informative, made the super trip fun with stories about the varying conspiracy theories. He even entertained us with some Sinatra to help bring us back to the JFK era while on the tour, and even offered up dinner recommendations in the area at the end of the tour. Dan, our tour guide was rude & unprofessional!!!! If you go on this tour, I hope you DO NOT get Dan. He did not tolerate other opinions. He didn't want to address other theories and when you brought them up he immediately dismissed them. We asked him about recent new information that has come out, including personal testimony from RFK Jr. (the president's nephew). Instead of a logical discussion of the facts, he belittled RFK Jr. calling him names. The worst was watching him argue with Mrs. Pat Hall at the Oswald Rooming House. They have different opinions on the matter. She was there as a little girl in 1963 and still owns the house. She met Oswald. It would have been interesting to hear more of her side of the story, but he talked over her and argued in front of the tour. When we left the Boarding House, he sat with his captive audience in the van for another 10 minutes arguing how she was wrong and he was right. He was crude, used the F bomb in front of a child and did not want to address other theories, just his own. It was a less than enjoyable. I've been on many historical tours (Gettysburg, Monticello, Mount Vernon, The White House...) This was the worst! For $75 each, I'd expect more professionalism and civility for what should have been a dignified tour about our American President and a tragic moment in our history. We had the museum visit prior to the actual tour, which is highly recommended (!). Dan "The Man" was our Tour Guide for the 2+ hours of fascinating and interesting tour at the relevant sites. Dan is extremely knowledgeable, highly-detailed and mostly passionate about US history in general, and the JFK era in particular. He is also friendly, kind and patient. Although we spent hours at the 6th floor museum, Dan added so much value and information that help us to understand this major event in the US history, the factual details, and the conspiracies theories. I've delayed writing this review because I didn't want to be too critical, but I think it's fair folks understand what they're getting. We are big travelers and love doing local tours- walking, hop on, hop off, scooters, etc. Our trip to Dallas included friends of ours that don't travel a lot and while we had a list of things to do and places to see, we hoped the tour would be a good way to highlight a lot about Dallas in a short time. We did the 75 minute tour. What this means is that you still get on the van with the folks doing the three hour tour, you just hit less stops than advertised and the others are inconvenienced by having to route back to drop you off. I want to say our tour guide was very friendly and had plenty of stories, but we did a lot of sitting still listening to him talk. Every city, even internationally, we've done driving tours in, they drive and talk. The tours serve as a highlight reel and we can make the decision to retrace our steps if there is something we want to know more about. Most tour guides also say things like, has anyone been to *insert popular tourist destination here* and then they can either bounce off of it with more details or in this case, they could've done this with the group on the longer expedition. For us, we had just left the Sixth Floor Museum. The first stop, Dealy Plaza. Okay, fine, we know not everyone has been there. However, this is not a drive by tour, he parked, told us information about the JFK assassination and then we all got out, walked over and he talked some more. We drove to the monument for the Longhorn cattle drives. Again, parked, got out and spent about 15 minutes. Our last stop was the farmers market, again 15 minutes and then it was back to our meeting point to drop us off. $30 per person and we went to three spots. I'm sorry but that is unacceptable. This is not listed as a hop on/ hop off tour and even those, it's your choice to get on or off, and they keep things moving. We didn't do any other tours so I can't recommend a different company, but I can assuredly not recommend Dallas Fun Tours. read more

We did the JFK Assassination and Museum Tour. Our tour guide was William and he was great. He approached the assassination in a completely different perspective than we were expecting. He did it through the events of Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby. He was very entertaining and spent a lot of time building up the events leading to the dramatic historical event of JFK's assassination in November 1963. This tour was eye opening and really makes you think about the conspiracy theory. I would highly recommend if you want to know a different side of the JFK assassination. This company is HORRIBLE. My husband took me on a Cowboys Stadium and Dallas tour for my b-day. Only to deal with an individual that tried to belittle us for a medical condition. My husband has more character than this "tour guide" and wanted to make sure my b-day was not ruined...so he just got us back to our car and off the bus. I call the company today to advise of this frustrating trip and there response was for us to just ride with another guide. Never once empathized with us for the treatment we received from his staff. Forgetting that his staff treated a client in a disgusting way and tried to embarrass us in front of other patrons on the bus. Discussing a medical condition "out loud" on the bus...in front of the other passengers!! This communication went straight to the owner (Alex) to advise why he was irritated with us for having to drive back to drop us off. When I asked for our money back...he said a fictional Corp Office in New York would have to review our request for a refund. It was unnecessary and very upsetting. What a great tour with an awesome tour guide, John. I signed up and received an email with my ticket and instructing me to meet the van in front of the JFK memorial. The email even provided me with three possible license plate numbers on the vans. So I knew, when John pulled up, it was one of their vans (nice safety feature). Our tour group was nice and small with 6 people. This meant it was easy to ask questions and not be part of a really big group. What I really liked about the tour is John focused on facts and the timeline. He did not get into conspiracies or anything other than the facts. We had plenty of time to walk around Dealy Plaza and the grassy knoll to see what it must have been like to be standing right there when JFK was assassinated.
