1 star. After bouncing back n forth from Fishers to Carmel, I found a car that I loved on a Thursday night. They wouldn't negotiate on price until I got a PPI which was scheduled for Monday morning - the earliest appt available. We arranged for me to pick up the car early Monday morning before they opened. I arrived and the salesman smiles and says, it's gone! He sold the car on Saturday. No call. No first right of refusal. No courtesy. Nothing. This car was a specialty color that is very rare. I was in love with the car and was ready to pay cash on Thursday night, but they wouldn't even discuss it before I got the PPI. That's super fishy. Is it because you were holding it for another buyer? Is it because I'm a young woman? Is it because I'm Black? Doesn't matter. It was wrong. I think it was his smile that sent me over the edge. Nothing about this situation was joyous. I will never return and I hope no one else does, either. Shame on you, Fritz! read more

What a frustrating experience! After reading the reviews I can understand where a lot of people are coming from. Obviously, not every vehicle Fritz sells has issues, but based on my experience when vehicles do have an issue, Fritz is not interested in fixing any problems. I was able to test drive a minivan and take it to a mechanic for an inspection. The inspection, done by a bipartisan 3rd party and highly reputable company, Midas, stated the van needed about $3800 worth of work done. Some of it was normal wear a tear for a used car, break pads, wipers, and such but some items were bigger like rotors, struts, and shocks. The salesman said he would not fix anything unless I wanted to pay for it in the price of the van. He said they were "not responsible for normal wear and tear on the vehicle" and he would not fix anything. When I asked why someone would pay $25,000 for a van only to put another $4000 into it in the next few months he said it wasn't his responsibility. The salesman never talked to the service department or a manager. Clearly, selling a vehicle with issues is not a concern for Fritz. The salesman even said, we "allow" u to get an inspection done so that you know what u are getting into. It is obvious that selling a vehicle with issues, potential SAFETY issues at that, is not a concern for them. I would HIGHLY recommend getting an inspection before purchasing anything from Fritz. Used cars are somewhat of a gamble, sure. But who knowingly drives a car off the lot with definite bigger issues in the next few months?!?! I feel that knowingly selling a car with problems, and refusing to fix them, seems borderline unethical. I can't imagine this is a practice that would be tolerated by management or the owner but based on previous reviews it does seem to be something that has happened multiple times at Fritz. At this point, I am not even sure they'd take ANY responsibility to fix their seemingly "shady" practices should something major go wrong. I'm luckier than others because I had the inspection and could go back into the dealership with the print out. But I was still told they would not fix the problems with the van and should expect those kind of problems when buying any used car. read more

We just purchased are second car from Fritz in about a year. The first one went well some minor mechanical issues but it was a car with 80k but I felt like we got a fair deal. Second purchase was a 2016 with 99k. The deal was not great non negotiable on price and the car needed rear breaks but again it was not new. But what bothers me they told us they had two extra keys. Unfortunately they were not to that car. We are going to purchase 2 extras and spend 1k . So far I don't see a willingness for Fritz to step up. We are going to try today will see, and if they do I will change my rating. If not maybe I go back to buying my used cars from authorized dealers. Never got it. Emailed the sales person, didn't email me back. Emailed again and nothing. Emailed one last time and finally got a reply that my referral bonus was taken off the price if the car. We looked at the paperwork. It was not. Called and spoke to the sales manager. He apologized in a not caring way at all. Said he would mail me a check. Never got it. Bought a Mazda in the last part of 2016 from them. Since that moment the car has never not been broken. Had to replace the transmission, clutch, the whole brake system, valve covers, Right front A arm, the alarm goes off on its own, the head liner fell etc. NOW the Catalytic Converter is clogged and I have to get rid of the car. I bought it for 6000 and put 6000 in repairs into it. The Car Fax said no accidents but after getting under it discovered that it had been in a VERY hard accident. I thought I was going to a good lot for a car. Unfortunately I got a lemon. I wanted it to work out but this has been a nightmare. read more

We just purchased a used Jeep Wrangler..salesman was great ....but finance guy had us signing papers before even discussing interest rate and payments. Then within 3 days we noticed that the rear main seal leaking and oil in our garage. Our garage actually has a vinyl coating so we could clearly see there was an issue. After calling the dealership and short run around. They said we could bring in and they would have service check it out. Well we live in Greenwood and fishers is a bit of a drive so we talked to their service before deciding to take vehicle up to make sure they would take care of it. Just purchased a 2011 4Runner, first time doing business here. Test drive everything felt ok, brakes had a little shake but the deal on the truck was pretty fair and the car fax said they were resurfaced not long ago. I just took it to a mechanic to look it over and it needs new front struts, rear shocks, tires are unsafe, brake rotors and pads, spark plugs. These are maintainer items so they of course will not even help me out. Plus their warranty only covers 15% of parts and labor if the engine and trans were to blow up. Seems like a shady place and do not buy a car here unless they let you take it to a mechanic or dealer to look it over first. If they don't , chances are they are hiding something. I bought a nice 2011 chevy cruze from Fritz in June of 2021. The staff was incredible and I couldn't have asked for better customer service. The car ran well for about 2 months, then I went to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change. While the mechanic was under my car, he noticed oil EVERYWHERE, and I mean everywhere. There was an extreme buildup of oil on my brakes, my turbo, and all over the bottom of my car. I took my car to the shop, fixed the oil leak, replaced the oil gasket, and moved on with my life. Exactly one month after that, my car troubles started yet again. I noticed that the heat in my car wasnt working and began to smell a burning smell. My car was giving me dashboard notification such as "Coolant temp too high" or "AC off due to engine overheating" and so on. Come to find out, there was a hole in one of my car's pipes leaking antifreeze everywhere, a crack in my exhaust manifold, and a few other little things. After spending $2,000+ on repairs for an overpriced used car, it is clear that no inspection was done on my car, which is promised at Fritz. There have been dozens of both big and little things that I have had to put money into all within 4-5 months of owning it. read more

No stars!! I am a recent customer of Fritz in Fishers and my experiance has been horrible. The car the sold me for TEN THOUSAND dollars had underlying saftey issues and they gladly handed it over to me knowing I am a single mother of two little girls. When I test drove the car they took my on side streets and I never was able to drive the car over about 30 miles an hour, with the sales man in the backseat. Why you ask, well because the car shakes and has bad breaks, so they didn't want me to find that out. When purchasing the car I asked the salesman about a warrenty, he told me there was one for 30 days and explained the warrenty, he even stated if I didn't love the car, bring it back. So I did just that when I spun out in rain due to the tires on the car. They didn't want to take it back and explained they would put new tires on it and they would fix the brakes and give me new drive out tags. None of which they actually did when the had my car for an entire week, giving me a loaner that barley starts. The financing company they work with, went behind my back and paid them when I asked them not to, COMPLETE SCAM. They are working together to rip people like me off. If you dont have CASH, they will treat you like a second class citizen and take you for all your worth. #gettingalawyer. read more
