I love a good vibes bar and this checks off all the boxes. Mood lighting, cool visual art, entertainment (pool table in back), good music and snacks. This is def a gentrified bar based on the crowd, but if you're looking for a low key place for a date or catching up, this is an option. However it's not great for big parties, at most 5 ppl. I will say, the reason this doesn't have 5 stars is the French woman bartender. I'd expect someone specifically working at a wine bar to be more knowledgeable about wine. She gave the bare minimum and her attitude was off putting. Also, some of the other staff felt like they didn't want to be there honestly. Luckily I wasn't there for them.

Came here over the weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a nice time! The place was very welcoming, fun, and hip. My friend sighted an actor from one of his fave HULU series. Not surprising seeing as how this bar is in Bed-Stuy (the neighborhood is def more trendy than it already was!) I LOVED the quirkiness of the bathroom in their next door business, Tadpole. I ended up there because the bathroom at Frog had a long line and one of the bartenders was kind enough to let me know that if I went through the back patio and entered tadpole's from that entrance, I would have better luck. He was right. There was no line and I was very intrigued by the interior design. Random, yet exciting! It was a wine bar so my friend and I had a glass of a red wine that I chose. I don't remember the name of it but it was a dry, fruity red and we enjoyed it. Would def return here too! Oh, how did I almost forget to mention that there's a pool table and you can play for free?! They had some really elite pool players that night so I was very entertained watching (I'm no good).

Took the subway for more than a hour to try this place out. It was a great experience, almost felt like I was in Europe. Hang out in the backyard, drink a couple of bottles of wine, and rip a couple darts. Great ambience in the space. Don't come hungry because they don't really sell food, just light bites. I think they do occasional chef pop up shops though.

The outdoor backyard was really chill and nice. Also a nice spot to hangout indoors too when it's cold out

He was so kind and warm and genuinely treated us like he knew us personally, which added so much to the cozy, homey vibe of the place. The space itself is really cute -- perfect lighting with red tones, exposed brick walls, and such an intimate, inviting atmosphere. We ordered the charcuterie board and it was one of the best I've ever had. It was packed with an incredible variety of meats and cheeses and was more than enough to generously feed our table of four. At a lot of wine bars, I leave still feeling unsatisfied, but this one was filling and so well done. I had the Riesling and it was amazing -- the perfect balance of sweet and dry. And the real star of the show was the grilled cheese with ragù. So delicious. I'm from LA, but we will absolutely be back every time we're in Brooklyn. Highly recommend & cannot say enough about this place! It was one of the highlights of our trip :)

Our server Sam was really knowledgeable and gave us a lot of recommendations. We ended up going with all of his favorites which were the sugar snap peas, the bigeye tuna and gnocco fritto, white asparagus and soked sablefish, the soft-boiled egg and blue crab and finally the steelhead trout. Sam was wonderful to also suggest us really delicious, salty, fresh and wild white wines to pair with our dishes. Everything we had were perfectly cooked with bold flavors. I could definitely taste the care and detail put into every dish. For the smoked sablefish dish, the sauce was so delicious, we asked for some toasted in-house sourdough to soak it up. The pavolva dessert at the end with the surprise paired wine was the perfect ending. I can see why this restaurant is well loved and feel very lucky and grateful that we could have an opportunity to dine here. Thank you so much Sam and team for a wonderful time! This is my most favorite restaurant in NYC!

The atmosphere was super intimate and cozy, and the service was paced really well throughout the night. Some of the dishes definitely could've had a little more flavor or seasoning, especially compared to how hyped up the restaurant is, but there were still a few standout plates that made the meal memorable. My favorites were the clams, the tuna, and the rice dish, all three were so simple but done really well. The tuna especially tasted incredibly fresh and balanced, and the clams had such a light, clean flavor that worked perfectly with the wine. You can tell this is one of those places focused on quality ingredients and a more understated approach to food rather than overly heavy flavors. Overall, really glad we went and it's definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you love sharing plates and trying a bunch of different dishes throughout the night.

The bar (in the former Spuyten Dyvil space) is almost comically different in look and feel from SD. It is elegant and has an almost suburban feel. I walked in 29 seconds before they opened and they told me so, and I went across the street to walk around bc I was meeting a friend and by the time I went back they were packed (this annoyed me...slightly....). :-/ However, we were given a table, even though there was some confusion at first as to whether we could have one if we weren't eating. But we did have food! And they were friendly, and the service was unexpectedly focused and tight. I'm not a huge wine guy, but I enjoyed the glasses of wine I had here. The menu was lovely. The small plates were very good, but Rude Mouth has taken *more than a small cue* from Bar Jambon, in Gramercy, the wine bar connected to the Michelin-starrred restaurant Casa Mono - in their wines and their small plates (ham, bread, butter, etc.) Who can fault them, really? Are you gonna hate on every rock band that wants to sound a little like My Bloody Valentine? Enjoyable, serious place, good wine, solid food, nice vibe, no real complaints, worth your time.

Right off the bat, the bar area is absolutely gorgeous and meets you with so much warmth, light and joy as soon as you walk in to this establishment. I plopped myself on the bar and had the pleasure of making conversation with Elouise and Alejandra. They put in my standard two dozen oyster order and paired my platter with a glass of the happy hour white wine which happens to be their house chardonnay. The oysters were delicious although I must say there was a lot of shell pieces inside, which was very annoying to eat. I don't think this is necessarily the fault of whoever is shucking them. I noticed the oysters they serve have a lot of thin slivers of shell on the edges which are bound to end up in your mouth. Perhaps they can try serving another variety of oysters? Just a thought. The chardonnay was pretty good and service was amazing. The girls at the bar also let me try the Ten Bells red wine which is produced specially for them in Boudreaux, France. It was a beautiful, light, and smooth red blend. As a wine lover, I will definitely be back to try more of their wines on tap.
