Cherry on Top is just great and for good reason. The rooftop is perfect for drinking wine outside, with plenty of room whether you're there with just one person or a whole group. One of my favorite things is coming by in the late afternoon during summer and watching the sunset with a glass of orange wine or chilled red. It really doesn't get much better than that. The prices are surprisingly good for such a nice spot - wine starts at $12 and beer is only $5-6. That's pretty rare for a place this charming. The food is simple but good - they do tinned fish, bread, stuffed olives - that kind of thing that goes well with wine. There's space inside too, but honestly, if you're coming here you really want to be up on that roof. read more

Don't get the hype here. They have a decent rooftop but the view is not that spectacular. Ordered the chickpeas as a snack, they were severely undercooked and it was a tiny portion for $16! Totally not worth it when you can get amazing bar snacks at other establishments for $5-10. They have some musical and comedy performers downstairs. Stayed to watch one comedian but she ended up bombing pretty badly, it was quite awkward for everyone. Big selection of natural wines is the main selling point here, but I wouldn't recommend coming back. read more

Beautiful rooftop but also just a lovely intimate vibe indoors. The service is great - they're always willing to recommend a new wine based on what you're looking for and they do a lot of great deals and popups. Pictured is rare cheese from a popup they do regularly with Tommy cheese. We had a nice chilled red with it and oh my god it was an immaculate experience. I think Cherry is unique in that the quality is immensely impressive but the vibe is casual and chill and prices are reasonable. It's funky and arty but doesn't feel pretentious- we love! I came here with a friend for drinks on a Thursday evening. During happy hour, select glasses of wine are $9. The inside is dimly lit in red lighting, lending a very sultry vibe to the place. Hello to my new favorite Bushwick bar! My friend and I left another local wine bar because we wanted a more ~*low key*~ night in a place where we could actually hear ourselves talk, and wound up at cherry on top. Is it too on the nose to say this spot was the cherry on top of our night? The vibes were immaculate - busy but not too crowded, adorable decor, a super friendly staff, an excellent playlist, and reasonably priced delicious natural wine. My one complaint (90% kidding) is the chairs - the bartender agreed that there is no possible way to sit on the bar stools comfortably. What a dreamy addition to the neighborhood! Cherry on Top is my platonic ideal of a local wine bar: beautiful and cohesive aesthetic, indoor and outdoor seating, an extremely well-curated wine list, nice bites that complement the food, and terrific service! I am only sad that it's not a bit closer to where I actually live, so y'all are lucky, neighborhood natty wine lovers. Walking in, one is struck by how perfectly the place has been designed, with the red accents echoed all across the space, from the door to the decor. The bathrooms are super cute, too, and I love the little glass-windowed wine cave where you can spy some really wonderful bottles on display. It seems both like a nice quiet place to read during the day but also a cute date spot in the evening, and though it was a bit too chilly for me to sit on the rooftop, it looks SO sweet up there! The cherry motif is excellent branding, and I was impressed by the wine selection (also, hard to beat an $8 happy hour from 5-7PM everyday, with a red and a white available). Don't miss out on the exclusive Swick red that was made just for Cherry on Top, and ask the staff for suggestions, as they are knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to educate the natural-wine-novices. The selection of snacks is fairly tight and I would absolutely recommend the pickled eggs, with Kewpie and a generous shower of bonito flakes. Cherry On Top is nice. But the wine glass per serving is very noticeably stingy. You get a small glass that barely fills the half way mark. Wine aught not be served that stingily at $12-$16 per glass. You go to Ten Bells, and Lo-Hi and the wine serving is much more generous. read more

The worst experience with a staff member at the downstairs bar I have ever had. Incredibly rude and yelled at me for sitting down and moving cups out of the way, ruined the whole experience. Literally have never wrote a bad review but this person warrants it. read more

Cherry on top seemed to be the starting point for several groups' night. We saw a few of the parties from Cherry on top meandering around Bushwick. I guess if you're gonna start your night somewhere, this is a good spot. Wine bar with a fairly large rooftop. There are probably around two dozen or so seats on the rooftop. Unfortunately, basically all of the seats were accounted for by 7 on Friday. I guess her here early. As expected, the have an outstanding wine selection. Good variety of options by the glass and so many bottles I didn't know where to begin. I had a sparkling wine and a glass of a dark white wine. I was happy with both. Bartender was very quick, friendly, and attentive. They have a bar in the ground floor and another on the rooftop. read more

I would give 5 stars based on just the ambiance. The rooftop area is absolutely beautiful and the vibe is so great. If the weather is nice, I would be back here in a heartbeat. The wine, however, wasn't our favorite and it was very overpriced. The bartender recommended a bottle and it was just okay. Love this spot. The fact that you can't smoke on the roof is a war crime. Picture this, you're siping on a glass of natural rose, watching the sunset and yapping with the girls. You know what would go crazy? A Cigarette. Too bad. Not even a smokers section. To add insult to injury the graphics/ decor around the bar are those faux Parisian contour drawings, and you know what they heavily feature? Cigarettes. Because that is such a key point to the experience. read more

Been twice. Service has always been confusing, as in the servers were confused about the wine. I find the btg list a bit boring (but I feel the same about ten bells and skin contact) so I think btb is the way to go. Sometimes the crowd drives me nuts because it's all little bushwick transplants or day trippers who are "into" "natural" wine but really just like posting the pictures of it on ig. Food I've had was a miss, menu is ambitious for literally just a tiny cold station. I want to love it but I'm so confused! Will probably return in the warmer months for the roof. read more

cute natural wine bar in bushwick. it's off the L train. it's a modern bar, red light everywhere to go with the cherry theme the crowd is in their late 20s and 30s. we went on a monday when all wine bottles are 50% off. we got there around 630 which was perfect timing bc as it got closer to 830/9p it got busier, hard to find a seat. there's one server - order at the bar. they had a pop up cheese monger to pair your wine with which was fun! we finished the night with their special cava jell-o shots. highly recommend. i'll go again. read more

The cutest Bushwick rooftop for good wine and cheese. Its very relaxed vibes and everything is decorated with cherries. The roof is order at the front and seat yourself. There was plenty of open space when I went although, lively at the same time. I definitely recommend going for an orange wine on a nice sunny day. read more

Cherry on Top is a pretty good spot. The rooftop wine bar is really pleasant, quiet, and perfect for a second or third date. All you'll hear are people having calm, happy conversations with friends and dates--no obnoxiously loud music, boisterous friend groups (of which I am in one), or debates. It's bar only upstairs, and the bartenders were helpful enough to let me try a sip of their natural wine. I had never tried it before or the orange wine we went with. For those of us used to paying Manhattan drink prices, at $15 for each glass of wine, I wasn't too mad paying it because the wine was just that refreshing. I will certainly be returning this summer. read more

I've been here a few times so I've had the chance to sit downstairs and on the roof, drink red and white and everything between, try savory small plates and sweet desserts, and believe me when I say you will definitely enjoy a visit here. I really enjoyed this space and the wine. I had several glasses and some small plates. The wine is really quality. The small plates are very small, so you will want to have dinner somewhere else and just stop in for a glass of wine. Wish the pours were more generous. read more

This is one of the few (nice) rooftop bars around Bushwick. In top of that, it is a good place to grab a drink. The wine list is decent. But please, do not order food here. They shouldn't be even serving those small plates they have on the menu. We ordered 3 of them and all of them were beyond garbage. Waste of food and of course big waste of money. 3/5 stars. read more

house wine by the glass costs $20 yet is nowhere to be found on the menu? a carafe, which definitely looks smaller than an actual bottle, cost $60. yes, you heard that right, a carafe of house wine cost $60. in bushwick. that price is also not on the menu. three carafes of wine cost, after tax, $195. swindled is how i felt leaving this place. will not be returning and would not recommend to a friend. read more

It's been a while since I've been the first to review a business on Yelp. Usually one of the food…read moreinfluencers swoop in quickly to review places nowadays. Bouquet is a small business that hasn't promoted much on Instagram or Eater, so it seems to have gone under the radar. I'm hoping I can do it justice as the first reviewer on this platform. We stumbled upon Bouquet during a mini bar crawl in Greenpoint. We initially planned to hit a few spots, but ended up settling in here for most of the night. We were mostly served by Eric who I believe was the owner operator. He's a NYC native who is super passionate about wine. The wine bar focuses on natural wines and other wines which emphasize minimal additives. The goal here seems to be to sell from producers who try to capture magic in a bottle. The wine list is three pages, so it's long but still approachable. There are about ten wines available by the glass. I started with a Montelpuciano. I sampled a bit and found it to be gassy and funky. The bartender was receptive to my feedback and made another recommendation - a different wine from the Loire Valley. The second option was more of what I was looking for. It was a more structured wine with a more traditional palate. I decided to eventually circle back to the Montelpuciano for my second glass. I'm stubborn and like to give a different flavors a chance to grow on me. I'm a person who doesn't like blue cheese but continually tries it just to make sure. The aroma of this wine was minerally. The best description I have is an Iron adjacent smell. Almost like blood but not the same. The flavor was earthy and rooty. It was the best part of the wine. It had a short finish. I'm no wine expert, but I can tell I was tasting something special. The last time I had wine like this was at a wine making competition. I also tried some of the wine on draft. It was an easy going wine that you could easily have a few of. We didn't have any food, but it seemed like the signature of the menu was their smash burgers. They also had some small bites like fries, cheese, olives, charcuterie, and salads. The other big items were schnitzel and the Rigatoni Alla Vino. The operator said the Rigatoni was an ode to a dish from Don Peppe's - a locals' favorite Italian restaurant in Queens. The space is welcoming. It part of the new wave of wine bars that aren't stuffy. It's about trying fun and experimental wines. Young stuff. Not necessarily hawking out for carefully aged vintages. It's fun and the team is very hospitable. Music is what I'd expect from a Queens local. Lots of 90s and 2000s hip hop. Playlist was filled with A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, and Common. They have some big speakers and turntables for vinyl records. They had a new record from Future which I suppose is something to boost for audiophiles. Acoustics here were as good as any listening lounge that we've been to in NYC. Entertainment wise, they have some board games behind the bar. No TVs inside the bar, but they have a projector in the backyard which can be used for special events. Two gender neutral restrooms. The one I used was handicap accessible. There is a step to enter the establishment, but they have a button to press in order to request assistance with entry. Good luck to Bouquet! They'll certainly be my go to for wine in Greenpoint.
