I really have thought about this for close to 6 months now about what I am going to say about my…read moreexperience with Laura...and honestly this is difficult for me to write. I hired Laura as our coordinator for my wedding on October 2, 2021. She sounded really great and professional on our phone call so I was excited. The "drafts" of the wedding day timeline were always very sloppy and unprofessional looking and honestly hard to follow. For example: there were notes that were not correct, misspellings etc. Our wedding rehearsal was SUCH a mess and she actually was not even present at it. She sent an assistant to "run" it which I did feel bad for her because she was using "notes" that Laura sent her. These notes were not correct and had everything out of order, wrong people in the wrong spots, wrong timing etc. I ended up taking over and we were quite late to our rehearsal dinner which was upsetting. On our wedding day - some of the specific things I asked for were not executed at all. (layout/floorplan) Something that happened that made me super upset was that we did not have enough chairs set up for people to sit in before the ceremony began and Laura told people to just stand in the back. However, the venue had many extra chairs that could be set up...they just needed to go grab them and set them up for our guests. My own MOTHER had to stop what she was doing and go tell someone to grab the chairs! Seems so silly and simple but also - why would you tell precious friends/family to STAND when there are extra chairs that can be put out? She came up to my pregnant matron of honor and told her she could not receive a second helping of mashed potatoes "until everyone had some" even though we purchased enough food for everyone to have multiple servings, and that was communicated to Laura. I wanted everyone to know that they could eat as much as they wanted...that was important to me that everyone was well fed! Especially my MOH who was feeling sick from her pregnancy and only wanted some mashed potatoes. During our cake cutting she controlled how my husband and I did everything and honestly I don't even remember most of it because she did everything instead of letting us do it...which was incredibly awkward and upsetting. Even our photographer (who was incredible) said something to me about how uncomfortable she was making this cake cutting for my husband and I. All in all I believe that Laura is a good person, but I would NOT recommend her services in any way - especially for a wedding. This review makes me quite sad and emotional to write because this was my wedding day - and looking back on it while of course it was fun and memorable...I can't look past these issues.
