I've received better service here than any other beauty supply outlet in the city, the prices are…read morereasonable and the best part is that I can come here to buy professional colour, bleach and developer without having a hair apprentice card or full license (although if you do have one you get extra discounts). You can also get ardell individual lashes here in small, medium and large (I'm pretty sure I've only seen the mediums in a few department stores). They also sell a decent variety of wax and supplies that are also reasonably priced (well as reasonable as you can get professional wax without a license!) Overall I recommend coming here for all of your various hair supplies if you're, like me, a "recreational" hair stylist and don't have access to places like Cosmoprof.

My first time in there, the card more than paid for itself. China Glaze polishes are $3.99 with the card ($6.49 regular.) The bad: - They had a few limited edition China Glaze, Finger Paints and Orly polishes, but not very much. - The associate I talked to didn't really seem to know much about the product - whether stuff was cruelty free, and whether or not they would be getting any of the limited edition polishes in at any point. - A lot of product with only the regular price, no indication of what the discount price is. I had to ask. I hate having to ask. (Most of their labels have a code on them - the last three digits of the code is the discounted price.) - Disappearing product - I went in maybe a week ago and bought a polish from a counter display near the till. Went in again and the whole display was gone! Damn, glad I bought it when I did and didn't decide to go home and think about it for a few days. I went in the other night to buy China Glaze Atlantis, which is from their new line of glitters. They didn't have it, and the gal was totally unable to give me any info about it. Sadness. Guess I'll have to keep going back or calling, and hope I get lucky.

I was at Collection Outlet Winnipeg and saw this Claire's store. I typically visit Claire's to check out the latest Squishmallows and Pusheen products. Although I haven't been to a Claire's in the States for a while, I find that those stores have a bigger selection of Squishmallows and Pusheen products. This store had some Squishmallows plushies that were cute. I saw nothing for Pusheen. I did like seeing the bracelets. I found an stretchy evil eye one. For years, I have worn some form of an evil eye bracelet. Many of them didn't last. This one felt like it would also join that group. My wrist sports a permanent evil eye bracelet these days and I love it, so I put this one in the store down. With the Smurfs movie out, I saw a decent selection of Smurfs merchandise. Backpacks. Pens. Water bottles. Hair clips. Press-on nails. Notebooks. I loved this section. When I walked in, a boy was getting his ears pierced, with his mom taking a video and photos. By the end of my visit, he was looking in the mirror, admiring his new piercings. His mom was sharing this moment online. You can walk in to get your ears pierced. The alternative is to book online, which is probably your better option to guarantee that you've got a spot. I didn't buy anything. I did enjoy browsing. I hope that there'll be more Squishmallows merchandise the next time I'm back at this store. (261)

I was reminded that July was my birth month and I needed to pick up my free gift. I probably drop by Sephora a couple of times a year. It's usually in July for my gift. I do drop by to browse here and there. My favourite section is by the checkout. There are smaller, almost travel-sized items. I like to try the smaller sizes first. If I like them, I'll get the larger versions next time. If I dislike them, you'll never see me get it again. I am a fan of lip balm. I didn't need any, but I always like to see if there are any new varieties. I do miss Formula X, Sephora's own nail polish. It decided to scrap the line roughly a decade ago. I loved it, as the polish endured and the colours were awesome. It explains why I don't drop by any Sephora store as much as I used to. I found a small bottle of watermelon toner. I love watermelon. I am always using toner. I went ahead and picked up a bottle. At the checkout, I got the nicest woman. She asked for my phone number associated with my Beauty Insider account. She found me and wished me a happy birthday. She asked me when my birthday was. I said that it was tomorrow. She seemed so elated that I came into the store a day before it. She let me know what perks I could get. I ended up getting the Summer Fridays set. The jet lag mask was intriguing. I paid for my toner with a credit card. I tapped and was done. She asked if I needed a bag. I declined, as I had a large one with me from Hot Topic. I thanked her and left the store. I continued to shop before I called it a day. When I got to the hotel, I tried the Summer Fridays lip butter balm. Wow! It glided onto my lips effortlessly. I loved the scent and how buttery it was. My lips felt so good when I woke up after applying the balm before I went to bed. The jet lag mask was cool. I treated it as a moisturizer. You use a thin layer of it on your face. Let it sit there for at least ten minutes and and wipe it off when you apply it for the first time. I didn't experience an allergy reaction, but you could. When you're fine having it on you face, you can leave it on to hydrate it before you go to bed. It's nice. The watermelon toner is excellent. I love the scent. It's effective removing impurities from my face at the end of the day. I have oily skin and I feel that it soothes my face as I use it. I'd get the larger bottle once I'm done with my current one. I loved dropping by for my birthday gift and getting watermelon toner. I'd return again when I'm back at this mall. (263)
