We visited on a busy Saturday morning around 1045am. The line was long at the door but it moved quickly! We decided on a medium vanilla latte, topo chico, the Westie, the breakfast sandwich, a yogurt parfait, medium drip coffee. Total was $39.92 before tip. There were plenty of places to sit but they were mostly taken at that hour. We found spot to sit and didn't wait long. The presentation was beautiful! There was clearly a lot of love and pride in the product sold. The coffee was hot and deliciously, perfectly sweet. The sandwiches were so good and the fruit parfait was a hit with my toddler! While in Abilene for a wedding we were in desperate need of good coffee. We always like to try out the independent places so we decided to give this one a try. Walking in, the process is a little confusing as to where to go to order and then to pick up and how it works. Also the menu is kind of abnormally far away and high up. I had forgotten my glasses and someone had to read the menu to me. I ended up with the grilled chicken pesto sandwich and an iced caramel latte. The latte was good but the sandwich was a little boring but still good. My friends all got the ham and egg breakfast sandwich and enjoyed it as well as their coffee. There was plenty of seating and I think the building is an old train stop or something so it had a cool air about it. We went to go back to grab coffee and breakfast in our 2 hour drive back to the airport but unfortunately found them closed on a Sunday.. maybe next time :) read more

The good: they take credit cards. The ambiance is nice for a college coffee shop. The bad: super slow, especially considering it's one of those places where you're expected to tip before receiving service. It was a very cold day here in Abilene and I wanted a hot coffee and somewhere to get on my computer. I found this coffee shop on Yelp and decided to give it a try. There was no parking available,which is a good sign. I finally found something and went inside. It was packed. I ordered a flat white with sugar free vanilla and. I fat milk. It was great. I only wish they had more than 1 flavor of sugar free syrup. I found a cozy spot in front of the fireplace and chilled for a couple of hours. My wife and I had the Key Lime pie, chocolate zucchini bread, green chile quiche, and a sweet tea and coffee. The bakery items were all delicious 10/10. The sweet tea was only very lightly sweetened. All personal preference of course but just be aware if you like more typical sweet tea. The coffee to be honest was only okay. So, with the good must come the bad. Parking terrible, so live with it. It's an old renovated building which I love. Lots of room and the tables are spread out. Lots of people were there, yet we had no problem carrying on a conversation. The coffee, 5 stars. Even though I use cream and sweetener, the taste still comes through. Delicious. Definitely recommend. The breakfast sandwich, 4 stars. Very tasty and filling. Sandwich and small coffee was $9.50. The Bagel Bombs, 2 stars. Total disappointment. Jalapeño Bacon Bagel Bomb are the 4 words that brought me here. I was excited! The two small pieces caught me by surprise. I cut one in half, and you can BARELY see any bacon or jalapeño. The avocado toast is absolutely the best I've ever had, that freaking oat bread is something truly amazing. I was shocked when I saw what they charge for a whole loaf now I get it. Magic is expensive. The cinnamon rolls are SO soft and chewy, not dry or too sweet. Husband loves the quiche, I don't do eggs so didn't try. Also the Nutella toast with banana was great, and I don't even really like banana? Food comes out super fast, was about$25 for everything. Why 4 stars? There was a truly unreal amount of people just silently sitting around with their stupid laptops. Study at home y'all. My family had nowhere to sit, we ate in the armchair area by the door, where people getting to go orders wait. One guy had a whole table and 6 chairs to himself. I went here for the first time. This place has a very chill, but professional atmosphere. I loved that they had the option to have your matcha latte unsweet. This shows they use real matcha rather than just a prepackaged serving of matcha latte powder you could get for cheap at Walmart. The filling for the sandwich was ok, but the bread was amazing. The bread was well toasted, soft, moist, slightly chewy, and had great flavor. I felt like the pepperoni bagel bomb wasn't cooked enough on the inside. The cheese wasn't gooey enough for me. The outside of it was a bit hard, but crumbled under my bite in a way that reminded me of a cake bomb. Overall, I will be back to try something else. read more

This place has a lot of potential but they currently have some problems. My family of 4 met 7 other family members there at 10am, on a Thursday morning. At this hour, you'd expect a place to still have plenty of breakfast items. When we ordered, we were told that it would be awhile to get our drinks because they were backed up. It wasn't a super long wait for our drinks, however, about 20 minutes after ordering, we were told that they were out of biscuits and it would take 20 minutes for more to be ready. So, those of us who ordered items with biscuits were affected by this (8 of us). Five minutes later, 3 of us got The Westie that we ordered. Twenty minutes later, we were told that it would be another 10 minutes for the biscuits. We had more food delivered to our table after the biscuits were ready. At that time, one in our group was told that they were out of gravy and that she could either order something different or get her money back in the form of a gift card. So 1 hour after ordering and this person had NO food! Unacceptable! As far as the food goes- the biscuits that were in most of our meals, were crumbly and dry. The Westie has some good flavors but the egg was over cooked (lots of brown areas in the white). Fried eggs should be cooked low and slow, so that the white doesn't burn but the yolk gets some firmness to be put in a sandwich. This particular sandwich had to be eaten with a fork because the biscuit totally fell apart if you tried to pick it up. We're from Houston and have access to great coffee places that roast and grind their coffee on site. I'm sorry to say that the coffee here is not very good, by comparison to what we have in Houston. The place itself is very nice! Lots of room and many seating options. Our large group was able to sit at the very back at a large round table. If you're by yourself or with a small group, there are more comfortable, intimate seating options. I'm not sure that I would recommend this place. If you do go, be sure to get there early, before they run out of biscuits and gravy! I think next time we're in Abilene, we'll try someplace different. read more

Love the vibes of this place. Very mid-century modern. It's located downtown where it's easy to street park. They have plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. The latte I got was very good, and the pecan pie was absolutely heavenly. It was warmed up, ooey and gooey, melt in your mouth. My only complaint is that there was a long wait for one slice of pie.
