While in Abilene for a wedding we were in desperate need of good coffee. We always like to try out the independent places so we decided to give this one a try. Walking in, the process is a little confusing as to where to go to order and then to pick up and how it works. Also the menu is kind of abnormally far away and high up. I had forgotten my glasses and someone had to read the menu to me. I ended up with the grilled chicken pesto sandwich and an iced caramel latte. The latte was good but the sandwich was a little boring but still good. My friends all got the ham and egg breakfast sandwich and enjoyed it as well as their coffee. There was plenty of seating and I think the building is an old train stop or something so it had a cool air about it. We went to go back to grab coffee and breakfast in our 2 hour drive back to the airport but unfortunately found them closed on a Sunday.. maybe next time :)

It was a very cold day here in Abilene and I wanted a hot coffee and somewhere to get on my computer. I found this coffee shop on Yelp and decided to give it a try. There was no parking available, which is a good sign. I finally found something and went inside. It was packed. I ordered a flat white with sugar free vanilla and. I fat milk. It was great. I only wish they had more than 1 flavor of sugar free syrup. I found a cozy spot in front of the fireplace and chilled for a couple of hours. The food smelled delicious, so maybe next time I will try something

Stopped by Front Porch Coffee and immediately loved the cozy, welcoming vibe. I tried the cinnamon roll and green chile quiche--both were perfectly warmed and full of flavor. We also had an iced vanilla latte that hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh, and the atmosphere made it a great place to relax. I'd definitely come back to try more of their breakfast options!

This place has the very best relaxed feel. Cozy, warm, and inviting! The staff was helpful, the snacks are special, and you can't go wrong with their drink selection. If you are looking for a place to relax, study, or just "be" this is an excellent choice.

We visited on a busy Saturday morning around 1045am. The line was long at the door but it moved quickly! We decided on a medium vanilla latte, topo chico, the Westie, the breakfast sandwich, a yogurt parfait, medium drip coffee. Total was $39.92 before tip. There were plenty of places to sit but they were mostly taken at that hour. We found spot to sit and didn't wait long. The presentation was beautiful! There was clearly a lot of love and pride in the product sold. The coffee was hot and deliciously, perfectly sweet. The sandwiches were so good and the fruit parfait was a hit with my toddler! Overall a great experience and do anticipate returning!

Great bagel, muffin, and hot chocolate. However, I didn't receive my coffee as they're way backed up and service is slow. Not sure what the problem is but it is more of a delay than one would expect...line is out the door now. Anyway, I'm not freaking out, totally blessed. Would have liked to enjoy a beverage with my muffin is all.

This breakfast spot effortlessly combines great food with a welcoming and modern charm. You seat yourself, order at the counter and pick-up your food/drink when it's done. My personal favorite was the biscuits with sausage and gravy. The biscuits were soft, buttery and fresh, while the gravy had a rich, velvety texture that was perfectly spiced.

The owner took our order and got our food to the table Helped me with my coffee. Felt the love for sure. Will definitely go back.

Another cool place in Abilene. Quick breakfast before we left town. It was good. Service quick and friendly. Cool vibe inside. Great decor. Big fireplace. Couch. Lots of seating.

Pleasantly surprised by how good their grilled chicken pesto sandwich was on their lunch menu! Food came out quickly and was fresh! Good atmosphere. Lots of students here studying and plenty of space to do so! Friendly service and comfortable inside.

SO slow and do not care to hire more help! Takes 15 minutes to get your coffee and it's not even hot. Also, $6 for a piece of avocado toast with no sprouts of anything except a sprinkle of seasoning. Cold biscuits and gravy. They were out of matcha and smoothie bowls on a Saturday morning. Will not be back

Beautifully restored interior with comfortable seating around a nice big fireplace and terrific sound system alone makes this a worthwhile destination in an otherwise unremarkable foodie town. Coffee is superb. Biscuits are some of the BEST! Gravy is very tasty, with some kick, but served below the ideal piping temperature. TIP ask for extrA Gravy Definitely will return!

Best coffee in Abilene and their food menu is sooo good, I recommend pizza bagel bombs or the chicken pesto sandwich.

I wanted to give more than just an average Joe 3 stars just because of the cool specialty pie…read moreconcept (and cool name and play on words!). A friend and I just happened upon this shop because we were in the shopping plaza going to H&H Beverages (ABC liquor store). The pie shop itself happened to be closed but we discovered a self serve pie and goodie vending machine right outside the shop front entrance and wandered over to check it out. Pretty darn cool concept! The vending machine takes credit card payments and there were a lot of different pie options to choose from - so kudos to them for keeping a well stocked machine after hours. There are various pie slice flavors, 6" small whole pies and also what they call "pie-faits" (get it? a play on the word "parfait") - little dessert cups (basically deconstructed pies in a jar with a lid). I posted a bunch of pics and a couple vids so check them out. We ended up ordering 2 pie slices - Key Lime and Milk and Cookies. Prices for slices were a tad high but we figured what the heck, we'll splurge for fresh homemade pie. We liked the Key Lime pie slice - very tart, tangy and creamy. But we didn't like so much the Milk and Cookies pie slice - when we dug into it, it was mostly all pie crust and pie topping and not much actual pie filling - also was way too sweet (probably due to the slice being all crust and topping) - disappointing especially for how much we paid for the slice WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE MILK AND COOKIES PIE. We peered through the front window into the shop - it looked quaint and basic - a tiny little place - an ordering counter, pie display case and a couple of tables and chairs. That was about it. Not really the kind of ambience that would cause me to stay, sit and eat there honestly. The shopping center was old and tired and seemed a bit run down with vacant shops and not much going on. From the main road (Rebecca Ln) you can't even see the shop signage so unless you knew about this place, you would never know it was here driving by (not even with their truck parked near the street) - which is unfortunate for them. In the end, bottom line, I don't think it's a place I would go out of my way to seek out or frequent. It was a cool novelty stop-in-and-try-once kind of place (and only because it caught our eye when we were at the liquor store) but given the high cost of a slice and not being absolutely blown away by what we ordered, not really worth a second look imo. :(

Recently tried Life of Pie and was not disappointed. The pies were amazing. We tried the chocolate…read morebuttermilk pie and the peanut butter chocolate chip pie (one of the pies of the week). We ate the chocolate one cold and it was good but I think it would have been better heated up a little bit. The star was the peanut butter pie. Service was prompt and helpful. Shop was so cute. We will be back.
