We've had a few rude employees, but Monday was extreme. We walked in at 6:30, thirty minutes before they closed. They were cleaning the store, saw us, and immediately all walked into the backroom. We were left standing there for a few minutes, unsure of what to do. We felt bad about showing up so late, but didn't realize they closed at 7 and figured it wouldn't be a huge deal. Finally one lady emerged and asked what we wanted with an attitude. My friend asked what kids drinks they had and she flipped the kids menu around and tapped it. No words from her. We ordered our drinks. I didn't tip because I instantly picked up on the hostile vibe. The drinks were not great. We got them for our husbands' and they said they tasted off. We've always had a great drinks and mostly friendly service. This was just uncomfortable and uncalled for. I've worked customer service and get it. If it was 10 minutes before close, it would have been a different story and we wouldn't have even showed up. Right after we left, another couple entered and we wondered if they recieved the same service. Both our husbands complained that the drinks tasted "off" compared to normal and told us the Catclaw location was usually rude to them. Not going back. Hello! I have been passing by this place.. constantly and never went in until a few days ago. First off... despite the name... there is no drive through window.. so... you have 2 Go inside.. see what I did there?! . They have ALL the Tea! If you like iced... they have a bunch of flavors already made.. sweet or gross.. whichever you like! It's 2.98 total for a 44OZ. They also have bar type deal where I guess you can have hot tea. They have a huge selection of different teas in see through canisters that you can choose from. I REALLY like this tea.. I get the Texas Sweet Tea... The drinks taste like pure sugar. No tea at all. Ordered the rocking ruby raspberry and it tasted like a car air freshener and so insanely sweet like nothing but pure sugar syrup. I ordered the Pink Flamingo today and I can't lie, It's delicious. It feels wrong because it has a grainy feel to it at the bottom of the cup which makes me think there is either a lot of sugar or it's some type of powdered lemonade. Either way if this is wrong I don't want to be right. Not to mention, they ask if you would like an extra energy shot so you don't have to worry about a sugar crash after drinking it. Within the last two years, the service at the Catclaw location in Abilene, TX has gone downhill. Especially after a certain manager left. She was the sweetest and always greeted customers upon entry. The staff that has replaced the previous team have attitudes and lack polite, customer service skills which has made my experiences there unenjoyable now. They don't greet customers and they seem bothered to help us. I know we all have our bad days, but every time I've gone in there?? I love to drink so many of the flavored teas, but honestly, I have begun enjoying 2 other tea stores that have opened up in Abilene because I feel welcomed there. I'm sure they aren't hurting, and they don't care what I say but here I am. This generation of workers are lacking in good, strong work ethics. read more

I absolutely love this place. Everyone is very welcoming! Busy or not they take care of their customers. The atmosphere is calming and very clean place. Plenty of seating and tons of options to quench your thirst. If they're busy it may take longer for you drink but I hop on the wifi and relax. This is the best place for relaxing and drinking either a cold tea or hot tea. We found this place June 2019 and loved it. We now go to this every time we are in Abilene. I've had multiple energy drinks and loved them all. My daughter gets the sweet tea and the other loves the George Peach Green Tea. If the owners read this, here are my critics, praises, and suggestions- Critics: - We tried to order Earl Grey tea and the worker said "she had never heard of that". - Far too few seating options. Picture a cozy tea shop... Now picture the opposite and that's what Tea2Go feels like inside. - They had the TV on super loud and playing a bad TLC phony psychic show. - The one employee on duty seemed confused about how to make tea. I know it's new but if you want to sell this as a premium spot, employees need to know how to deliver a premium product. Praises: - Beside the lack of Earl Grey tea, the selection was pretty great! They have a cool wall filled with a variety of tea. - Extremely clean. I know it's new but it seemed like they succeed at keeping a tidy shop. - Although the employee did not seem to know what she was doing, she was very nice! That definitely counts for something. Suggestions: - Train employees to be tea experts (or as much as they can be at this level). - Add some more seating options and decorations to make it feel cozier. It currently feels like Sam's Club when it should feel more like classic coffee shop. - if you have TV's playing, put them on mute and have something like the news or BBC playing. - Add some soft music to set a more relaxed mood. I've had at least a dozen friends tell me that they like this place. I've seen on their FB book feed that their employees are "super helpful". I walked in and was complexity underwhelmed. I was not greeted or asked if I needed help. However the two people who came in just after me were. The employee even asked the man if he needed help and talked to him about what they offer. Maybe it was because I had kids with me? I'm not sure but the staff wasn't friendly or helpful and the overall atmosphere was, I don't even know how to describe it, almost metallic. I typically come to this location at least once a week and I get tea by the ounce and prepare it at home. Well the last couple of times I've gone I've received terrible customer service. The new manager at this location is not respectful at all towards her customers.. The other workers however are typically very kind and helpful. The cool wall of tea is almost always empty, and they frequently run out of other ingredients to make fresh tea (both times I asked for a chai latte they responded they were out of milk). Too empty inside, very corporate feeling. It's a shame, because of the few actual times they had tea made, it was good. But I can't go to a shop to get tea that has it 2 out of 10 times. Whether you are looking for a strange and exotic tea or just a big glass of tea to quench your thirst, this is the place. You can pick out your tea leaves and buy them to brew at home or you can have the staff brew you a glass there. Conversely, if you can find what you are thirsty for in their selection of pre-made teas (a choice of about 10 flavors), you can cut your cost in half. They used to have a really nice seating area with a couch and chairs but they have taken those out to accommodate more tables. Not sure why they made that decision but it definitely feel more like just a place to get a drink and leave as opposed to a place to hang out and have conversation...and drink more tea! DO NOT GO HERE! My wife and I are avid tea drinkers. We have well over 60-70 varieties of tea in our own personal collection. Some of these are generic, a lot of them are specialty or gourmet teas. Bags, loose leaf, or powder ranging from north american teas to all the way from Turkey. We were looking for a refreshing new place to grab a glass of hot or cold tea, but alas, all we were greeted with was total disappointment. When we first went in we were greeted by a friendly enough staff member. She looked like she had just been hired from the local college and had the air of a sophmore year sorority girl. She seemed knowledgeable enough about the teas but a lot of it sounds like it was being parroted from a booklet. Overall the staff wasn't a problem. Where the true travesty begins is when we began smelling the tea. First off, the whole establishment smells like potpourri. So essentially it smells like a rich lady's bathroom. We began by smelling some white teas. They smelled alright. Mild, non-intrusive, but pleasant and tangy. Next we moved to the greens. These smelled much stronger, like grass fermented in water for a few years. Not pleasant at all, and I'm a huge fan of strong greens like sencha or gunpowder. Next were the blacks. This killed it for us. My wife picked up a vanilla, chocolate, cranberry chai, and I swear that someone took a crap on my face. The smell was so overpowering and disgusting that both my wife and I began dry heaving on the spot. We regrouped and smelled a few more blacks and were met with the same experience. Terrible smell!!! Absolutely gut wrenching. Why would anyone ever want to drink something that smelled that horrible? Tea is meant to be a gentle, relaxing, soothing exprience. Not a nose twisting horror story! Needless to say, we left without purchasing anything to drink. Tea2Go, you're doing Tea wrong. On top of all of that just about every vaccum seal container was either broken or sealed so tight that you can't take the lid off. Mind you we visited this store about 1 week after it opened. Overall this was a terrible experience, we're never going back, and we're making a point to tell anyone who enjoys real tea and the experience of tea to stay away from this. To a true connoisseur of tea, saying Tea2Go has good tea is the equivalent of saying Starbucks serves gourmet coffee to a true coffee connoisseur. I love tea. And I want to like Tea2Go. It's such a great idea for a restaurant. However, the customer service is sooo lacking. I came in on a Sunday afternoon on my break, having a little over an hour to kill, and wanted to just sit down and chill for a while. First of all, I walk in (no greet, hello? Anyone acknowledge me?). The employees blew me off like I was supposed to know what I was doing. Anyways, when I got my tea, expecting to have time in a calm place, I was forced to sit down on these hard stools (crafty and creative, yes, but comfy, no) and listen to Long Island Medium blaring on the tv. (Btw they don't have honey to put in tea, which made me very upset). While I was just sitting on this little iron stool, minding my own business, the employees were just talkin it up.
