You pull in and follow the sign that points to the scale for cans only to be told no, cans are across the street. I go across the street and deal with the gruff employee who can only grunt two words at a time. He weighs my cans and hands me a sheet of paper. I try the two entrance doors to the North of where I am, both are locked. I have to ask some random customer there to sell a junk car what to do with the paper. He tells me I need to take it back across the street in order to get my cash. For God's sake All Recycling, how about a sign or two explaining your asinine process? Or better yet, how about you train your employees a bit better?

However, the junk removal was much more costly than other companies I've used in the past. The worst part of the experience was that the junk guys tracked mud on the carpets through the entire path from the front door to an upstairs bedroom. They "compensated" me by discounting the price by $45 which was something, but didn't make up for the two hours of carpet cleaning I had to do after they left. Personally, this will be the last time I use Jolly Junk.

I wrote them a check and went back inside. Within a minute, I heard a crash and went outside to find that our power lines can been ripped down from the connecting point to the house. We were not outside to witness this, but I ran to the alley to see the Jolly Junk truck driving away as the wires now lay down across our yard and hanging low in the alley. I called Jolly Junk to express the issue but it was quickly defensive that we didn't actually witness it. Fair enough, except that there was nobody else in the alley. The incident itself was frustrating as we need to ensure with an electrician that nothing is wrong, but the lack of accountability is worse. I imagine their service - albeit expensive - is fine. But if anything goes wrong, I hope you won't have to work with Lindsay or her team. We'll certainly be using other services from now on.

For this particular visit, however we had tree shrubs that we needed to get rid of. We pulled up and the gentleman at the front directed us to drop off our tree shrubs in a particular area and then we drove off. It was quick and easy. We brought in over 500 lbs. of printers, tablets, laptops etc. which at .50 cents a lb,, was a hefty bill. We believe in doing what is best for the planet and didn't want this stuff to end up in a landfill. What ended up happening was about 2 months later, I get a call from a local business that bought tablets off Facebook Marketplace that still had all of our company software installed as well as our inventory labels on the outside of the tablets. While the site says they will "refurbish" what they can, I was astounded that nothing was factory reset or at the very least, they didn't even remove our company labels from the equipment before turning around and selling them. Our tech team walked this poor buyer through factory resetting them and they removed the property/inventory labels. Basic refurbishment should include factory reset and label removal or the website should specifically say they will re-sell (not refurbish) "recycled" equipment as-is, so we could have taken the proper measures before bringing the equipment in.
