I decided to be very nice to the pilots and I gave them goody bags - why not thank the people that help you get to the places safely?! They both were very appreciative and had giant smiles. My husband and I had a chicken salad that was decent and a diet coke for me (my husband had a drink!). The plane had to let someone get off the plane to reduce the weight of the plane (there was construction on the runway and we had to lessen the load to be able to get in the air easily) and then we had to spend another 20 minutes dumping 200 lbs of fuel (which I couldn't stand what it was doing to our atmosphere). I also was concerned about my family making our next connection from LaG to PBI (we ended up making it but barely). In the middle/end of the flight, I asked the flight attendant when we would land and she proceeded to tell me the name time that the original expected time was (which is impossible) - I was right - we were able to get off the plane quickly and had to majorly hustle thru LaG to get to our plane.

The ground crew here at the Des Moines International Airport seemed to do a good job with handling us, our luggage, and the airplane. We flew on a smaller plane, it's not a very busy airport. It was less than half the price for us to fly in on United versus some of the competitor airlines, and even though we were nervous about how United has been known to mishandle some of their passengers, and the passengers' luggage (ever hear the song "United breaks Guitars?" Look it up! It's great!) We decided to fly with United anyhow, and everyone arrived in one piece. Whew. They no longer hand out peanuts, because of allergies I guess. When you board, they hand you a little wet-nap to wipe down your seat with, but they still have the magazine sitting out which seems like an oversight in the post-pandemic travel time. The flight crew was friendly and efficient in all matters. We were on completely full flights both legs in and out of Des Moines.

When my flight then got even further delayed (not due to weather issues) I was told by a delta agent who was trying to help me the best she could that united could switch my flight to the delta one that would leave early the next morning. I went to ticketing and they simply just told me no they couldn't do that with zero explanation or effort to further help, and as much as to simply stare at me and give me a dirty look. I got stuck with my almost four hour delayed flight, and then on top of that delay we boarded significantly later than we were supposed to, and the entire time that was absolutely nobody at the united desk at my gate. Terrible customer service, terrible problem solving, and a huge disappointment.

Well we find out what happened, she when to the TSA supervisors, they pulled the cameras and they were not happy with the man's actions at all, honestly I wouldn't be cause he cost them almost 300 bucks (since they rebooked us free). Even though it was horrible that happened Stephanie did went a mile and half for us, and got him to get the training he needs, and even rebooked them for tomorrow. She is absolutely awesome, great customer service and great care. My kids have flown back and forth Allegiant since moving here a year ago, this is there 6th flight maybe, never had this issue before, and never have issues with the airlines they are always great simple sweet, yes they are cheaper but they don't need fancy for a 2 hour flight it's just getting to the place they need to be! When I got it back, my luggage tag was missing. It had been securely buckled to the suitcase. It was leather and looked like a slice of pizza. Apparently one of the baggage handlers liked it and decided to keep it. Also my neatly folded clothes were messed up looking like someone went through my bag. Prior to the assigned number posts, it was a cattle call at the DSM gate regardless of your boarding position. Southwest only 'rents' space at DSM and say their hands are tied when there are complaints. Flights are either delayed or cancelled & it's only getting worse at all airports. I fly nearly weekly and will be switching air carriers with SW charging for bags and assigning seats. SW had a hostile take over a year ago and the 'nice' has disappeared. I'd rather take my weekly flying business elsewhere to get points to be able to travel internationally. And, although internet service is stated as a 'perk' reward, it never works so forget doing business on a flight. Flights are usually short and connecting, so despite weather conditions, beverage service is often cancelled. To save on cost, the checkin process begins EXACTlY 2 hours prior to take off time (not boarding time). So you can stand there and see the employees exit their break room not one minute sooner to check in guests. You may be standing in A list priority boarding but they'll take the other lane first. I've memorized Becky's gate speech for boarding and it reminds me of the Jack in the Box drive through speaker.

These errors are significant because TSA requires your ticket to match your ID. We had many other problems with their services. Replying to the feedback from my review I posted Wednesday. Dean emailed me back within a day on…read morethe first email. I emailed him and got nothing for 48 hours. since it was a Friday I called the agency. I asked why I hadn't received any response and that is when he was quite condescending while we were talking about my trip. (this was after he told me I hadn't given him enough details so that's why I hadn't heard from him) I told him in my email that I had never done this before and I would need a lot of guidance. Then he did give me some choices and we emailed a few times. my last email I sent I did give him dates that would work and what else I was wanting and told him I would be sending our information in the mail. I sent our information out and a note with it asking what else did he need? what were our next steps. I never got a response. 2 weeks after my last email I posted my initial review. I hadn't heard from him in 2 weeks. He called me within 5 minutes of me posting. Asked me if I was still interested in the trip. I said no because I switched agencies. He then asked ME when he received our information I sent. I saId you should have gotten it at least a week ago. He then said it must have been overlooked. And by the way, I sent the information for both of us traveling. The statement that I didn't is untrue. the fact that you are trying to put a bad experience with your travel agency on me, the customer, is ridiculous. I have been honest about my experience, or lack of really, and instead of trying to turn it around on me, you should look at how to not let it happen again to someone else.
