Wow. You would think when you buy a brand new home. They would work to make sure that it looked nice beyond the first few weeks. If they are cutting corners to save on landscaping. Imagine what else they are skimping on. They can't even provide weed barrier for the desert landscape. Placing rock directly over bare soil. They're willing to lie to get you approved by the loan company. I was unable to attain all the required documentation as part of the stipulations for loan approval and escrow closure. I pulled out because it would be more than half of my monthly income. This company has put the house back on the market. Yet they have not returned my good faith deposit. They lack integrity it is all about the sell. I have retained an attorney. As a disabled veteran that had my family gift me the deposit money. I have been soured indeed on purchasing a home. The staff at the sales office was fantastic! 10 out of 10 however, I take issue with the builder. Poor workmanship, poor construction, cheap ass materials!! Since we moved in (Nov. 2020) our NEW home has had issues. We did our walk through, mall things here and there...face plates for the outlets cracked, Caulking under the sinks not done, sliding door sticks. Then I noticed that the interior paint was poorly done. We could see where they over painted or didn't put enough paint, some areas looks like they had only been textured and not painted. Now we have been dealing with electrical issues. We can't seem to have more then one computer on at a time or the breaker blows. not just electrical issues in the front bedrooms, the garage too. Heaven for bid we use any power tools in there. It's just been a pain. A new house shouldn't have ALL these issue. Shame on the builder!! read more

My townhouse was built in the year of 2008, I Purchased it in the year of 2011. It sat from 2008 to 2011 and I do not believe they went back and double checked what was already in place prior to selling it to me. I found plumbing done incorrectly. The defective plumbing leaked into my ceiling causing electrical problems and mold. I found further electrical work done incorrectly affecting my light switches and lights in my restrooms, as well as constant leaks in my front yard area. Additionally, two of the bathrooms within my home did not have proper venting which in turn caused to the linoleum flooring to peel up. Some areas of my walls are warped. My appliances that came with the house were installed improperly and caused issues, Specifically my refrigerator and my microwave and venting system over my stove. The filter was not placed on my refrigerator properly and it caused it to burn out and I had to purchase a new refrigerator and the microwave/venting system was not put in properly causing it to please grease deposits on my ceiling as well as burning out really causing me to have to purchase another one. I had to replace my garage door due to it being dented and becoming stuck open due to the dent. Ultimately, the plumbing in the front of my unit leaked constantly filling the area with water deeply concerning myself about the foundation. The stairs are also feeling unstable which is very concerning... I have not had the funds to have someone inspect them to set my mind at ease but plan to do so...I contacted frontier communities and even though the law states they are supposed to address it from the time the homeowner finds the issues, they did not...I was told to contact corporate...I did and had not heard anything back within the first five months... I called again and was told too bad... I am looking into legal action and what my rights and options are... I would never, ever, ever purchase from this builder ever in life again... Check the home warranties also, they provided the cheapest, least coverage of literally only the framework...it was not until calling in the infromation was found. read more

I bought my home in 2013 and I am very unhappy with it. Frontier has poor workmanship. After not even three years owning my home, it is falling apart. The shutter fell off of my house and luckily it did not hurt or kill anyone because it is really heavy. Sad that it was only up there with some glue, I'm thinking nails would have been helpful. Anyways, I called them about it and they (David from customer service) tells me too bad so sad because that is only covered under warranty for one year. Perhaps if they weren't putting these houses up so fast they would stay together better. Needless to say I must yelp this to warn others about the poor craftsmanship that Frontier is putting out there. Buyers beware, there is a reason their houses are priced so cheap. Warning: DO NOT BUY FRONTIER HOMES!! I purchased in Diamond Ridge community and could not be more disappointed. Many things were missing and a lot of things were subpar! materials are the lowest in the industry. I have battled and tried almost every day to get in touch with someone from Customer care with no luck! I am still missing things like faulty stucco, cracks in cement, no front gate as shown on elevation picture! Once they get your money they disappear and do not stand behind their product/homes. Well the people that work there are nice, they were promoting new homes so we went to look... The homes are smack dab in the middle of existing neighborhoods, very near trailer parks and older rundown homes. They're having a huge promotion, but they had no model homes, and the tors were in the homes that were maybe 50 to 60% done. They give you coupons for Jamba Juice but they were all expired and were not being accepted...boo! read more

Bad investment because you won't get what you paid for. The homes are poorly constructed and you'll start seeing interior and exterior issues hopefully within a year. If you don't within the year, the builder will do nothing for you. Also builder is more interested with making money and will sell the homes to buyers who have no interest in living in the home. I purchased a home and the majority of homes in our community are being rented out. More than one family live in these homes. The renters are not complying with the association rules therefore their homes already look like trash on the outside only after one year after completion of community. The neighborhood looks horrible and its hard to believe the homes sold for 500k. I wouldnt recommend frontier communities to anyone. read more

I am a homeowner who bought from the first phase and from the beginning it was a great experience. They painted a picture that we couldn't pass up. As time went by, things started to change. Keep in mind, we were able to pick and choose what upgrades we wanted since the home was nowhere near built. We later found out that the things that we chose (ex: stand up shower and tub, color of cabinets, and staircase rails) were not going to be done because supposedly we did not pick them on time. The framing on the home was not even started and we were the first ones in this whole track to get the paperwork and deposits started. They told us that if we pulled out we would loose our deposit. Also, to top it off, initially, they told us because we were first phase buyers, the solar panels were ours and we later found out that those panels are to sit on our home for 20 years, and that I would buy the energy from the solar company at a discounted tier price. Also, on our property blueprint, it states that our backyard has a "pre existing " 6 foot block wall across when it has a 5 foot white vinyl fence that belongs to the home behind us. Not, to mention the issues that came with our home. Some walls were warped and they had to come in to fix them, the ceiling, you could see the tape and drywall screws, they came to fix them, approximately a year later, the AC goes out. They didn't care because it was passed warranty coverage. I had to get it fixed through an outside company. Do your homework before you think about spending your money on these homes. I would not recommend them. Their staff and the person who is suppose to take care of the track issues are very ineffective and don't care of the buyers. we just bought our very first home from frontier in adelanto ca. such poor work man ship everything is half ass. been here for a month and we have noticed that the carpet is filthy when my 2 year old runs around barefoot they are covered in dirt not only on the bottom but the tops of her toes. I have to constantly wipe them down. I have never experienced this before. we have complained about this to customer service and they said there is no proof it's from them. like come on who can honestly make carpet this dirty in a month. wish they would have offered to have our carpet professionally cleaned i also have an 8 month old who is going to be crawling soon. I don't have time to shampoo my rugs it's just all bill shit. there are many other things we have put work orders in and they keep saying oh we will fix it and nothing has been done. now I'm painting my walls and I noticing a lot of half ass work. overspray on everything door hinges not all the same on one door leaking faucets cracked windows pieces of laminate flooring coming up already paint on shutters outside we even had a shirt in our kitchen plugs after running our air fryer. fried one while side. was really hoping buying a brand new home would be great and we wouldnt have to worry about other peoples cooties but I was way wrong. we have rented forever and thise places were way cleaner and taken care of properly. god I hope there is nothing else wrong.
