As it is their customer service over the phone is atrocious the installation technician was very professional and understanding that I was already frustrated. Installation went through painlessly and their fiber service is night and day compared to spectrum. If you are in an area that this fiber is available I strongly recommend getting it the speed is much faster than spectrum. read more

Two Frontier male employees showed up at my door last night, uninvited. A few weeks ago, I was going to switch from Spectrum to Frontier to lower my cost. Spectrum matched their price. I canceled my appointment with the service dept. Out of the blue, they show up at my house. Not rude, but persistent and wouldn't take my verbal cues to leave. I had to shut the door in their faces. I feel that my privacy has been encroached upon. This is a terrible business practice. read more

I spoke to 8 different people in 3 different days just to change the service address that their system mistakenly put because my address for some reason " wasn't an address in their system" . After all that on the day of installation the tech still went to the wrong address and and upon calling and speaking to the 9th person they said they don't have my updated address. How many idiots does it take to screw in a light bulb ?? How many frontier agents does it take just to change a service address ??? Cancelled the installation and got a refund on my deposit. Micah in customer service had me on hold for 40 minutes while I tried to cancel my subscription, while also throwing me 3-4 discounts that I denied several times because I didn't need another wifi package where I moved. After being on hold for 90% of the call she would tune and to have me "verify" 4 pieces of my information that were already mentioned earlier in the call, basically to just waste my time. You shouldn't waste peoples time because they moved an switched wifi plans, enough with the greed already... read more

They will lie to you to get a sale. And there is a huge cancellation fee. Service not that great. Customer service is terrible.

We set up service a month in advance and they confirmed no issue. Texted us a new date right before installation that was several weeks out. We called numerous times to figure out what happened as we needed internet on the scheduled date for work reasons... there were several excuses...they forgot to get a permit, they have no idea why this happened, they cannot tell us because they were not trained to understand the codes, etc. We were hung up on several times. Asked for a supervisor, held for 40 minutes, then was hung up on. They had installed a cord on our home on our property before we gave them approval to with no notice. They said it was a third party and we had to call to get it removed. The third party had no idea. Frontier will not remove the cord they installed before they were allowed to install even though they canceled the date of installation. read more

Horrible service. They are claiming a hurricane that went through the area THREE WEEKS AGO is responsible for my service going down today. When I contacted them to find out what the problem is they tried to tell me about a plan that costs $25 more per month and supposedly guarantees I'll never lose service. Why do I have to pay more to guarantee service? Why can't they just do that for all their PAYING CUSTOMERS. Just another service provider that likes to take your money then withhold the service. Vultures. Update: service will not be restored for four days. Double down on the above review. They supposedly can't get a tech here even though I've paid my bill. Had an outage after Helene passed. Everyone in my building and neighboring buildings in my condo had their service back when the power came back in 16 hours. Mine has been out for 4 days now and it turned out my ONT equipment was outdated and not in proper working order. Now I have a minimum of 48 more hours with no cable tv, internet, or landline. They kept saying it was an outage for everyone. Took them 4 days to admit I was the only one in my building with a problem. Last time I had a problem ( about 6 years ago)they were supposed to show up on a Monday morning to fix it. I called them back at 4 pm and they said the technician was not noticed of my appointment and rescheduled it for the next morning, guess what another no show as he wasn't notified. I called at 10:30 AM and said if wasn't there within an hour I was canceling my service. He showed up 90 minutes later and told me they never sent the repair order to them until I threatened to cancel my services. Never did get a reduction in my bill then for the week with no service. read more

Their service tech came to service my Samsung microwave, & couldn't take down my unit as it was TOO HEAVY!!!!he fiddled around with my braker box & removed the microwave's panel box. When he left I went to cook something on my stove - and Wahlah- it NO LONGER WORKS (oven too!!). I called Samsung reported my concerns & they set another service with a DIFFERENT TECH!! at 9:00am by 12:15pm - no tech. Called Cone to ask them where is the tech - her answer was no tech coming & I need to hire an electrician myself!! They damaged my stove & I have to pay for it!! Check out their reviews. If yelp allowed a no star rating that would the rating I give them. Without a doubt the worst company to work with. Canceled my service and 2 months later I'm hit with another months service fee and threatened if I do t pay they will send to collections. After 2 weeks of fighting with the company I was told they would take care of the dill and that they would call me back to let me know it was taken care of big surprise the bill was not taken care of and I never received a callback. This company lacks integrity and if you do business with them you do it at your own risk, and it is a risk. read more

The worst customer service ever. Embarrassing communication for a communications company. Three appts for install. Three no-shows.

First of all, it very slimy to "unclaim" their main yelp review (505 reviews) and start a new one then claim it with only 2 reviews. Funny still rated 1 star on first 2 reviews. Recorded everything with notification. What a horror show! Still no internet. Apparently, installer didn't register our new 1G box. No one knows or can help or cares! Appointment set days later..not a priority. We missed watching NFL playoffs and anticipate more issues this week since we work from home. read more

I am very very very dissatisfied with the level of service I received today from frontier. My box stopped working two days ago. Called for service and the first appt they could supply for me was today nov 13 between 1 and 5. I had to take a whole day off of work to make this appt. Here it is 630 in the evening and no technician came nor did we get any heads up. We called customer service who says that everything is in order. But the latest they can show up is 7. They will let you know thirty minutes beforehand. What kind of company has a person lose a whole day of work and not show up. Im about to cancel my service and just order from spectrum again. Service sucks but at least they showed up. What worse is I have raved about frontier on nextdoor and facebook about how good the service has been. To be treated like this as a customer is horrible. Dont you know that people have to work to pay their bills. I lost a whole day of work today and I couldn't even get a phone call from you read more

Right up there with one of the worst Internet experiences in your life - guaranteed. Trust all the 1 star reviews you see here and elsewhere. The insane part is that most of the liars you talk to on the phone will sound all nice and helpful, but none of their sweet sounding promises will actually work out as they promise. After 3 days of new service not working properly, and waiting every day, all day for a tech to show up, I may or may not have service yet today. Now I'm wondering what does it take to reinstall Spectrum and wishing I had never considered making the change in the first place. We have now been without internet for 5 days due to them never sending our ticket to dispatch despite having two appointments "scheduled" for a tech to come out. I just want to say how dissatisfied I am with Frontier's service. Not their customer service and not their actual service. Let me explain: On November 16 frontier came out to rewire my cable because it was cut. They rewired it going down my driveway in the grass over my driveway and all the way to the cable box they marked it with some flags that are sticking out of the ground so no one runs over it or cuts it. Which is all fine. The technician told me it was going to take 7 to 10 days for someone to come and ground my line. The holidays are right around the corner so I gave it till after Thanksgiving and made a phone call to see when they were going to come ground the wire and they said they should be contacting me soon. I waited about three more weeks with no phone call or no update. Therefore right before Christmas I called again as I was having a small group of family over the weekend before Christmas. They told me that the company that grounds the wire is an outside company which they cannot talk to except for via email. He assured me he sent another request out and they should be contacting me. I called again January 14, almost another month later. Almost 2 months since they came to do the service call. I'm told they have to get a permit to ground the wire and due to Covid reasons they are behind. I'm so sick of the Covid being an excuse for everything. I understand people are shorthanded holidays happened and I have been extremely patient and understanding. The line goes across my driveway and I run a crossed it multiple times a day with my car. My daughter is also outside playing basketball on the driveway and I just fear that she's going to trip and land on the flags with either her face or another body party. Every time I call the customer service is very nice and tries to be helpful but nothing gets resolved. I did ask to speak to a supervisor they put me on hold for a while and just came back and told me they sent another request out. I'm going to call Spectrum to see if the want my service and can come ground this darn line. read more

Just sad been 1 week and want to go back to spectrum. Never had these problems with speed and service. Yes Spectrum is not great but the only time i lost signal was when they were doing upgrades at 2AMwhy did i switch? I'm only giving them a one star rating because there isn't a lower option. Right after hurricane Ian, I decided to switch from spectrum over to frontier as they appear to be the only cable company that did not lose service during the hurricane. My first attempt in contacting frontier went rather well. I asked the sales rep to please call me back as I needed to contact spectrum to figure out what I needed to do in order to switch. the sales rep never ended up calling me back, so I opted to call frontier once again. The sales rep this time around provided me with some information with regards to new service from frontier. I then proceeded to initiate an install date. The date discussed was for Saturday, October 15, which was approximately two weeks away. On Saturday, October 15. I waited all morning for the installation contractor to arrive. After waiting until approximately 12 20 pm, I call frontier to find out what was going on with the installation. I was then informed that they had me scheduled for installation on Monday, October 24. I explained to the rep on the phone that I was supposed to be scheduled for Saturday, October 15. After going back-and-forth with the rep she offered the next available installation date for Thursday, October 20 today is October 20 and the installation contractor never showed up. Once again I called frontier and was advised there was a mixup where the previous rep noted and one system the update for the install on October 20. However, that information did not feed down to the installation team. I am still imagine the level of my frustration at this point, I didn't ask the rep on the phone to please review with me the service package that I was supposed to be receiving. After reviewing the details of the service package, I realized not all the details were disclosed to me with regards to the charges after the first year of service. At this point, I no longer have faith or trust in frontier, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. read more

I have been waiting for 1 hour and 3 transfers and I still on the phone waiting one of them when I told my Latin name he just transfer me to a Latin speaking person without ask me anything, this is racism and discrimination if I want to speak to a lspanish speaking customer service I was going to choose that right in the beginning they promise me a 500 mbp and after see how slow it was I speed check it and was below 150mbp they have been stealing from me for months this company should be sued . read more

I have been having a terrible time since August with frontier at a rental property that I have. I have spent a good 40 hours on the phone trying to resolve this problem everybody gives me a different answer a different solution and here I am months later again with another $465 bill. the last four times that I called they put me on hold to help me resolve the problem and I was disconnected. why they would ask me what my best phone number is and then not call me back once we're disconnected is way beyond my understanding. We signed up for frontier Internet in April 2022 because our friends highly recommended it. The fiber Internet is supposed to be top-of-the-line. Our experience was not... We had spinning on our YouTube TV the entire time. Had three technicians come out with no Difference in our service. The fourth time I took off work because they were going to be here between one and 5 PM. No one showed up, I received no text or email updates. The next day I received a text saying sorry you missed your appointment! I was livid!! We switched back to spectrum and are very satisfied. When I called to cancel frontier I was told I would need to pay $123 early termination fee. I spoke with a supervisor at length and explained our service issues. Was able to get that fee waived. I was sent a QR code to return the equipment via UPS and the code did not work. I again called frontier and was sent to additional codes which do not work. So I wasted time and gas money... Now they are supposed to send me a mailing box and label via snail mail.. UGGGG ~ DO NOT SWITCH TO FRONTIER read more

Spent unknown hours on hold trying during several phone calls to resolve problems with billing issues and phone service. I had to ask for a supervisors ID number and conformation number to get anything done. Horrible customer service and customer support. I have been a long time customer and expect better service. They get one star because I can't move further into the review if I decide to have zero star! I attempted to allow Frontier the opportunity to match the rates of the new service provider I was considering, but they counter-offered me with a $10.00 increase above the $79.99 I was already paying!! After numerous conversations asking to be disconnected and where to return their equipment, I still have NO clue if I'm disconnected nor where to send the equipment. I scheduled phone calls with them, went into their chat room 3 times, only to be left holding for an exorbitant amount of time. Finally, I was speaking to Lienus in Retention Department and was harassed for 30 + minutes on why I should stay with Frontier! He even offered a "time-out" for 9 months to see if I liked the new company and not to return the equipment. If I were to return the equipment, I would have to pay a $20.00 restocking fee! I am sure durng the 4 years I was with Frontier, I paid over and over again for their equipment. And yes, they are still billing me, even though I contacted them 6 weeks ago and told them to STOP service. I just want to warn everyone who is thinking of getting Frontier to please save yourself a huge hassle. They are very dirty and tell false tales. If you tell them to cancel your phone service they will not do it. They will claim they do but they don't. Even If you do take every phone out of your house and have no phone you will still be billed for any calls coming into your house.They leave the line open and if anyone calls your number you will be charged for the call. The price is high too. With telemarketers calling around the clock i did not want a landline anymore. I was not told the line stays open and calls coming into your house you will need to pay even if you are not answering a phone. ( cause you have taken out the phone and use your cell phone.) Its so not right to pay for a service you do not get and was tricked into to not being told about the line being open and people still call your number and you will be charged. What a way to rip people off!!! I would think you would care more about your customers then that. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. There were lots of things i did not like about their company but i stuck by them. Now i was treated so wrong i can no longer be with a company with hidden agenda's and be treated so badly. read more

After having an 8-day outage of my internet in early July, Frontier sent out a tech who indeed replaced some equipment on the side of the house. It seemed to fix the problem. However, after about 10 days, the internet went out again. Every time I called to inquire about the new problem, all I got was a voice mail saying "Our system is aware of an outage in your area, we are working to fix it" that's it, never got to speak to a person. After 5 days of the second outage, I switched providers. Now they expect me to pay the full amount of the final bill. $45 and change. They even charged me an additional "disconnect fee", and I thought that was pretty funny. Having to PAY to disconnect from something that was already NOT WORKING. When I spoke to an agent today about the bill, I was informed that Frontier does not allow for credit for an outage. That is ridiculous. After having their internet for 2 years, never being late on a payment, and now they want full payment for something I did not get. So, just beware of how they treat their loyal customers. read more

I have had nothing but problems with my cable ever since I ordered this service. Called to get a tech out they said no need, we will send you a new box. I waited a week and called back asking where my box was, they sent it to the wrong address. The had a completely different address for me in there system. The weird thing is they know where to send the bill.. so now ive been going without service for almost 2 weeks, I finally said enough is enough, we ordered a new service provider, then called and cancelled service with Frontier. After they told us the whole spill about sending us labels and boxes for us to send there equipment back, we thought this nightmare was over. Then I received a bill in the mail for a month that I did not receive service for because I had cancelled the previous month and was already with a new company. So I called Frontier again to ask about the bill, they said I still had an active account. This is the most unprofessional bunch of yahoos I have ever dealt with. Do not use these guys, you will regret it...This company is an absolute joke. read more
