cancelled Frontier service on December 19, 2025. Was informed by Tina my final bill will be $50 for restocking equipment???. Received my bill for 141.99. Called Frontier, spoke to 5 different customer representatives who informed me You Tube TV bills a month behind. I was never told this so I requested to speak to a supervisor, April and asked to be credited You tube charge of $84.99. April gave me You Tubes phone number stating, they have to credit my You tube accoun. I spoke to Miles at You tube (who was wonderful) who informed me that could not touch Frontiers platform. MIke's stated in the line while I called Frontier once again, and we spoke to Celina who said I was misinformed by Supervisor April regarding a credit for You tube. Celina then did offer me 50% off at $42. I would prefer paying tribe to Xfinity then ever usubf Frontier again. read more

We signed up for frontier cable Internet, landline, and cell phone service. We were quoted prices and were told that all new iPhones would be free of charge. I think the main issue most have with frontier is their horrible support since almost all of it is outsourced. However, if you have fiber installed correctly, short of someone hitting a pole or you losing power in your neighborhood, fiber usually just works. The bad thing about frontier though is they seem to want to use existing coaxial for MoCA for the wan between ont and router. This has certain performance and dependability effects. However, that can be overcome by installing your own wiring or asking the technician if it's possible to install ethernet. If it's easy they will usually do it, but your miles may vary. Buy your own router, make sure they give you one of the good onts, use ethernet to connect that ont to your router and try to make as many devices in your house wired as possible. If you do all that you should have very little problems if any at all. I went 6 years with FiOS without needing to contact them once. I've always had a great experience with them, really. I like the price, the internet always works, and it's fast, and the guys that installed were very friendly and helpful. I am moving soon, so we will see how it goes with moving service to a new place, but I wanted to add to the conversation, sorry so many people had a negative experience, but I continue to have good luck with them. read more

After reading all the reviews posted here, I couldn't agree more. My experience with Frontier began years ago when my phone service provider (AT&T, I think, but there were so many changes since the original Southern New England Telephone (SNET), I lost track) sold out to Frontier. I had two phone lines and an internet connection. Every time it rained there were problems. Finally, one time, a tech came clean and told me there were no more "twisted pairs" available in my area and that they were just switching me from one pair to another each time I complained. Our cell service (yes, I've had good success with AT&T's wireless) got better, so I cut the cord. Frontier was absolutely useless and never resolved the issue. Now, I'm being bombarded with Frontier ads for their fiber-optic internet service, but when I try to sign up, it all goes wrong. I stupidly decided to give them another try (in part because their rate was half what I was paying Comcast/Xfinity for abysmal speeds), but when I went through the whole online process (which, in addition to a postcard and email that told me the service was available at my address) I ended up having to call customer service and they told me that service was not yet available at my address. So, stupid me for taking another shot with Frontier. Now I'm going to probably spend another hour with Comcast/Xfinity, attempting to negotiate a more competitive rate from them. My experience with Frontier is off to a bad start. I had an appointment for fiber but unfortunately they installed it on the wrong house (did the technician make any attempt to verify the owner's name or connect with the owner?). The next day when I noticed my installation ticket had been marked complete on their app, I immediately alerted them that the technician must have closed the ticket in error. Two days later, Frontier billed me for services from the date the installation was supposed to have taken place (again, fiber was not installed and I reported this fact to them immediately). Chat verified that the Internet was active --just at someone else's house who-knows-where. As it currently stands, I have someone coming to the house to verify that the fiber was indeed not installed (they wouldn't take my word for it!) but it has taken endless chats with bots to get the appointment scheduled. In the meantime, the ticket still says complete and someone else is enjoying high speed internet on my dime! read more

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE USE FRONTIER FIBER FOR INTERNET! yes they are cheap as hell. now we know why they are so cheap. their customer service is beyond illiterate and in plain english, shit. we called them in MAY to cancel services because we were moving and they dont service Mystic CT. they said okay. we got billed in june so we called and asked why, they said we needed the pin that they gave us when we signed up before we could cancel. so they said they would put a hold on the account and not charge us because we were waiting for the pin to be re mailed to us, snail mail. 3 weeks go by and we finally get the pin, we called them, canceled services and returned their equiptment. we get charged AGAIN in july, we called AGAIN. they admit they were wrong, we called the bank, dispute the charge and get the money back through the bank. here it is August, we get an e mail, saying that our bill is ready to be viewed, eric calls them AGAIN and gets NOWHERE, the first woman on the phone agreed that we dont owe anything and she couldnt understand what the problem was so she escilated it to another person, the next person he spoke to was completely dense and kept saying we owed the $, when he told them that there is no way in hell that we will pay it, he gets transfered to collections WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF is wrong with this company!!!!!! read more

Frontier internet is extremely slow. And their billing platform is slow , takes 2-3 days to process payments. They love to charge late fees if the payment isn't received on time. They have no grace period. I'd say, they are the worst ever internet service I have ever experienced. Their customer service reps are not customer service orientated at all. They give no understanding and they are in competent. They have caused me headaches and stress. I will never go back to Frontier, even if they were charging $10.00 a month for internet. Worse company I have ever dealt with in my life. They are trying to rip off my 90 year old mother. Be very careful of them. They are very sneaky. They took money out of her closed account. Then after fighting with them for weeks, decided to give her a credit. What will a credit do to a closed account?? How can she use it??!! Now they are saying to contact this company called Northlane who will issue a visa gift card to her. Well the number they give out to this "company" does not work right. It is automated and it asks if your credit card has been stolen and to enter the 16 digit. So that's not working. Now they are saying that a visa gift card will go out to my mother in a few days and to call them back. Which I will be doing. This is awful and it is robbing. They literally went and took money from a closed account and act like we did something wrong. If this company is your only hope, go without internet. DO NOT USE FRONTIER. read more

Unfortunately, I need to give a bad review for frontier communications. I had a terrible experience every time I contacted customer service and every time I had technical support related issues and even when my service was connected. First, No one showed up within the four hour time frame to connect my service so I had to wait on hold for an hour until I was connected with a human who sent a technician to my house after 7 PM. Then throughout the two years that I had the service, there was intermittent connectivity and I regularly had to reset the devices in order for my telephone Internet and cable to work. Then, when I contacted customer service to change the features that I had, I was transferred multiple times and disconnected multiple times and never actually got the features that I wanted. Finally, when I relocated out of state, I needed to disconnect my service... I spent literally five or six hours on the phone with multiple people including the office of the president who emailed me with an invitation to speak directly to her and even after we scheduled an appointment she did not contact me and I was not available during the time she said she would be. Fortunately, she did reply to my emails but I wasted hours of my time and was very frustrated throughout those hours and I had to continue paying for my service even after I requested that they disconnect it. Ultimately, they only credited me about $99. However, they told me that their policy is to wait 90 days before refunding over payment to my account. So, I overpaid for several months and only received a credit of $99 but I will have to wait 90 days to actually get a gift card with the balance of my credit. I do not recommend frontier communications because their customer service simply it's not good. I suspect that the company designs the customer service department this way in order to prevent you from canceling or reducing the features that they regularly add to your account. I don't believe this is an honest company and I really think something must be done about it but if you must get any service I don't recommend this company. Choose another company for your Internet television or home phone needs. read more

Frontier gets 0 stars. My internet has been broken since Nov. 4 today is Nov. 29, it's because mice have chewed the wires in a junction box. Frontier has been inept at fixing this. They have lied about sending someone to fix it, they have sent texts that the problem is being addressed, however no one has fixed it despite multiple calls and reports to customer service who doesn't seem to know what they are doing except to keep typing in the problem and stating they are taking care of things, all the while it doesn't get repaired. If I could give this company less than 1 star I would. To begin, besides the horrible service they provide, their customer service is worse. After cancelling service because they didn't want to work with me during the start of the pandemic and increasing my speed for the same price so my kids could use their devices simultaneously, I was billed an entire month even though I canceled before the new billing cycle. I called the day after receiving the bill and was told to disregard the bill, none was due and the system would catch up with it in 2-3 billing cycles. Welp, here we are 2 billing cycles later and they're threatening to send me to collections if payment is not made in full. Then proceed to tell me I will receive a credit in another 2-3 billing cycles. I just spent over an hour of my time trying to argue my point and it was like beating a dead horse. I was transferred and placed on hold multiple times in which the only thing I received was a HEADACHE! I will NEVER use, nor recommend Frontier to anyone! read more

It really is too bad I cannot give 0 stars. My family and I decided to try another company for our internet after getting a very good deal on the monthly, the faster speed, and a friends recommendation. I called on 11/15 to cancel my account and spoke to the retention dept. She spoke way too fast for one, and was rather rude for another. She explained that I would not be getting a refund for the time I won't be using (3 weeks 4 days total) and I will have to wait until December before I even get the return label for their modem (which has been sitting here unplugged since 11/15). This made ZERO sense to me. Still wondering what is really going on, I called on 11/16 and also spoke to a MOD. She explained that they do not send refunds. She stated that lots of companies have changed to this in the last year. I find this so counterintuitive to what customer service is supposed to be. Plus I am getting charged $9.99 for someone to flip a damn switch? To me, this is keeping money they have not given the service for (AKA theft). If I ordered a dessert at a restaurant and then decided I was too full so cancelled it before they even made it, I would expect to not be charged. "Other companies do it" is a real pathetic excuse for this as well. If other companies told their customers to f-off, would they do that too? I was with Frontier for about 4 yrs. Even if I end up being charged more than I want to pay later on with this other company, I will NEVER go back to Frontier. Taking my money without the goods or services to earn it is one of the worst things they have decided to do. That policy was not there when I signed up. When they did change to this policy, I was not notified. Telling me it was on the paper bills when I have paperless is also a real stupid move. read more
