First of all I have to open with the fact that I am a caregiver by trade and have been for 13 years and we have to be certified in order to get paid. The classes I've taken over the years have been good but they tend to get shorter and shorter so when my second full time job offered a free CPR/FIRST AID class at AmVets Post #49 through Frontier Safety and Supply I jumped at the chance because I needed to get re-certified anyway. This class is the most thorough class I've been through in all my 13 years of being certified. They explain the why's, the when's, the where's and just about any question you could come up with in regards to ANY medical situations with adults AND children! My husband is permanently disabled and has a severe TBI (traumatic brain injury) and I feel better today going home to him than I have in years. I'm attaching some slides that he showed throughout the class that cover all needs in regards to CPR and First Aid. Also, he had everyone in the class (aside from one guy who's knee kept locking on him) try compressions and the AED's (different types) or keeping time.. any number of the different things that need to be done in an emergency situation! If you are going to take a class take JON HUNT's Frontier Safety class HANDS DOWN!! I needed to renew my certification in Mandt. My employer paid for me to take the retraining with Jon at Frontier Safety and Supply.com. I was concerned about Covid protocols and how they would be managed in a class that required physical contact. Jon answered all of my questions over the phone. I felt secure enough with the protocols he had in place to come the next day and take the course. The office is small and personable. The class started on time and all the needed supplies were provided. The class had a component of power points, discussion, text book and tests after each unit was taught. The class size was small and I felt any questions I asked, were answered as if I was the only student in the course. Time was devoted to making sure I understood the course material as well as the physical techniques required to perform the needed tasks to demonstrate proficiency in this course. This has got to be one of the best places I have ever re-certified my CPR/first aide at. John, the instructor was very knowledgeable about the information he was teaching. He was open to questions even while instructing, and used instances that would happen in any profession. It was a lot of hands on training and quick thinking. I learned new information that was never taught before and he made it exciting to learn even though some of it was the same general lesson all over again. Cause I mean, there is only so much you can read from a book. I would recommend this training to any company or individual person looking to get their CPR and first aide license or re-certified. I recently visited Frontier's retail store, spending hours with the owner, Jon Hunt, assembling an aviation survival kit. Jon's many years' experience in the emergency medical field and as an avid outdoorsman were invaluable in assembling an amazing first aid kit and components for emergency signaling, shelter, food, etc. I came away with a box of outstanding-quality items and confidence that I will be well prepared in an emergency. Received CPR/First Aid training in house at MNS. Tatiana facilitated a class that was informative, concise, and thoroughly enjoyable. Subjects covered were of course CPR/AED and First Aid, with many industry specific scenarios discussed. Classes were 4 hours total with 10 minute breaks here and there. All hands are to receive certification of training in CPR/AED and First Aid, good for 2 years. Staff were warm and accommodating, interesting and knowledgeable. Questions were encouraged and a reciprocal dialogue established between instructors and participants. Frontier has earned my highest endorsement for their services. Well done folks. read more

Jon was an amazing teacher; I was in a class provided by my job for a CPR/AED certification! He was very involved in answering questions and addressing any and all concerns and questions. I had a really fun time in this 4 hour class, and I am happy Jon was teaching it! He mentioned his little 'Aah Ha!' scary moment where he himself thought he was having a heart attack and that made him want to change his lifestyle and incorporate his family. Ended up going to Frontier Safety and Supply to get the CPR/First aide certification here for my work. Was very impressed with the training and presentation of the class. Really enjoyed the training there, Jon uses a lot of humor to keep things interesting. I felt the training was extremely informative and thorough, and felt I learned a lot in just that short class. I was nervous to schedule the class because I had never been here before but they made it very easy and stress free when I called. The price was not too pricey and I was given the option of paying online which was very convenient too. The class itself was very engaging and hands on. Today was my first time attending a CPR training for work...& I have to say that this is the MOST FUN I have had in a "training". Not only was it fun, but I was able to learn a lot about CPR, how to use AED, and so much more. Even though I was there for 1 thing (CPR), I left feeling comfortable about how to perform CPR on children, and what to do in emergency situations! i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you work with them if you want to get training for your work, family, or even organization. Took a wilderness first aid course with John. He did a great job of going over the materials and educating me on proper first aid in the backcountry.
