I didn't require much, just a trim and a consult for color. Thankfully Danielle had a time slot big enough that we decided to do an all over color and cut which saved me a second trip. I have a guy friend visiting in less than week so I wanted my grays to go bye bye lol I did have to wear a mask, which we worked around it. I wish they would've provided disposable masks for those doing dye treatments though as my only homemade mask now has brown black dye stains on it. I don't blame the stylist for it, it's almost impossible to avoid, but disposable masks for color treatment clients just seems like a good idea. Especially those clients paying higher color costs (not necessarily myself.) The stylist wasn't overly chatty as I'm an introvert and socially awkward and small talk usually stresses me. We talked a little but mostly she let me just close my eyes to relax. The color is exactly what I wanted. My color is now all even after doing box dye for a year. The trim was a true trim (in the past at other salons they've chopped off 2-6" when asking for a trim ) so now I have lovely colored hair and it actually has some shape and body to it! $40 for the cut $130 for the all over color I didn't get the best pic, but I took one anyway with a Snapchat filter as I was naked faced and don't like that lol Recommendations: - Masks for color treatment clients for as long as you require masks to be worn. - The TV for the dryers to have something like HGTV to watch with sound or subtitles as I didn't care for the commercials of the place I was already in playing or the slideshow pictures and videos of the owners adventures. Or offering at least a magazine selection. - Waiting area was not 6ft spaced out for social distancing. While requirements are lifted in the state I feel like if you're going to make us wear a mask and sanitize our hands you could space the seating better. I went in to have my hair done for a night out and after 30 minutes, I knew I wasn't getting what I asked for. It was just condescension and a random spritz of spray in the air. The curl fell out of my hair within 30 minutes and my hair can hold curl for 3 days without product, so I was shocked. I booked the service because I was exhausted and just didn't feel like doing my hair. I was late and so I just paid for my service, left and said nothing First cut I received was with Ryan. He didn't listen to what I wanted, cut me unevenly, and I had some of the worst split ends I've ever had within a month. During the cut I could tell his shears were dull, but not I didn't realize just how dull. He kept trying to flip my hair forward on the right to cover the mess up. I mentioned it and he told me I was just overthinking it and so I went on my way again thinking I'd do my normal style and see how it looked. Sadly it was the cut. I wrote an email to the owner and she graciously asked me to come in so she could fix my hair. She agreed it was cut uneven and she did the cut I originally asked for, which cut everything that Ryan had cut. There was no ends left untouched. Sadly, it was the same situation as before! I could tell within a week of the cut that the ends were going to be bad. Because of my layers, it has been an absolute nightmare to get rid of these split ends. And it is not because I use heat on my hair, the last time a dryer was used on my hair was when I was styled at Halo and I do not use any curling or flat irons. I use a satin rod for heatless curls. I went nearly 3 years without a cut or trim due to Covid and had very few split ends. My current stylist in Oregon that my sister has been with for 20 years is working on getting my hair back in shape but it's been a months long process. She's cut my hair many times over the years and she is just dumbfounded because she's never seen my hair look like this, even in my box dye and bleach days. I'm sorry I have to leave this review, but 3 separate bad experiences warrants it.

WORST salon experience of life. I showed her many photos of what I wanted. And what my 10 year old…read moredaughter wanted. She said no problem. When we got there her salon was cluttered and messy. In the back of my mind I knew we should've walked out then. But I thought maybe she's better at hair than keeping her salon tidy. Big mistake. I had long straight, medium dark brown hair to the middle of my back. My daughter already had long layers in the front and she just needed a trim. Sonia looked at the photos of the layers I wanted then proceeded to chop my hair relatively one length, much shorter than I wanted, and really uneven. She then bleached it blonde about 3 inches from the top and toned it to a mousy brown that almost looked green at the time. I had shown her pictures of high and low lights that were almost auburn that I wanted to give my hair some demention. She didn't do any of that. I wanted my hair to be cut to just below my collar bone with lots of blended layers. She lobbed it off, one length, with tiny point cutting right below my shoulder. I told her it looked green and she said the toner will wash out to blonde, which isn't what I wanted in the first place. While my hair was processing she cut my daughters hair and it has shelves, not the blended layered trim we asked for and showed her pictures of. She took off way too much on both of us as well. It basically looks like my daughter is growing out an old mullet. My poor daughter is too scared to go to another salon to get it fixed. I know it's just hair and it will grow back but it's embarrassing to walk around looking like this while it does, and this is her job. I shouldn't have paid for what she did, but I did because I don't enjoy confrontation. We paid $314 to look like a toddler went wild on our hair with scissors and bleach. Now its going to cost another $300 to get it fixed elsewhere. DO NOT LET SONIA RUIN YOUR HAIR TOO.
