I cannot thank Frontier Village Veterinary Clinic enough for showing so much compassion when my Maine Coon mix was close to the rainbow bridge. We had him convalescing at home but he continued to go down hill fast, as a rescue cat we are not positive about his age but he was either 14 or 15 years old and had a beautiful long life with me and my family. His veterinarian is in Snohomish and i absolutely did not want to drive him that far for help, he was already so uncomfortable and weak. I called Frontier Village Veterinary Clinic and explained my dilemma. I did not want to drive him far and he is suffering ... can I bring him in for immediate help. They booked an appointment for me the same day. I arrived, the receptionist read the notes of my call on her computer and took me and Magic (the cat) into a private room immediately. Aimee (assistant? I don't know wha her official position is) was so incredibly compassionate, so helpful, explained the entire process and walked me through it all. The vet was in credibly compassionate as well but I did not get her name. I was allowed to exit to the outside through the door in the room so I didn't have to cry through the main area to leave which was amazing and very much appreciated. I only wish I had gone here earlier when Magic was in good health.... I found them late, but not too late for them to help me through the process. I thank you so very much! read more

Must have been sold to private equity because they'll purposely wait weeks after claiming to reach out within a much shorter time frame only to leave you waiting until after it's necessary to have more exams done so they can take in more cash. I brought my dog in after he had been hit by a car. Without hesitation, they took him in and went back to do an evaluation and administer pain medication and IV fluids. Doctor brought me with my other dog in tow to a private room and explained what he saw via ultrasound and x-rays. He then took the time to give me a list of animal hospitals to bring my dog to and listed them 1-4 and told me details about them that I should know. The first was closed, the second were ready to take in my dog's emergency. He even wrote down what to inform them about his concerns and findings. I am absolutely grateful for their care and quick response to me walking in off the street. I recommend this hospital 100% and more from my experience. Thank you team. Amazing. read more

The vets and vet techs really seem to care about our dogs' wellbeing and comfort. We've seen 3 vets there and all were great. I love that they offer same day appointments for urgent needs. The front desk staff is very efficient and helpful. We don't live nearby but we wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else! read more

Made an appointment here for my 11 year old Pom as a general checkup. ( I was going to a vet in Mill Creek, but it is too far away). Dr. Harp was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to discuss all of my concerns and did a thorough exam where she discovered a heart murmur. She discussed what that meant and made treatment suggestions. Horrible service. In addition to routine urinary incontinence prescription for my dog from them was $64.00 and Walmart pet pharmacy was $25.00, they needed to have an appointment scheduled on the books before they would authorize refilling the prescription. I made the appointment for their earliest time and after several days after making the appointment, the pharmacy still has not received the authorization. I started going there before covid and they were great, even though prices are quite a bit higher than elsewhere but location is closer for the three animals we've taken there. During covid they changed their answering machine to give a spiel about being courtesy respectful to their staff etc etc etc. as if it is their job to tell others how to behave expecting the worst from people. Needed a new Vet after moving to the area and was anxious about handing my cat to someone I didn't know. Thankfully the anxiety was unnecessary and the clinic staff were so friendly. They had an easy to follow COVID drop off process with tons of communication at every step. They were wonderful with my cat and kept me informed on what was happening, explaining treatment options and informing me of what was needed and what could wait for another time. My rating is actually 0 out of 5 I made an appt. for my dog. I was required to heavily sedate Boomer prior to any visits due to they view him as aggressive. I made the appt. for 19 Sept. I didn't have a chance to get the meds prior and called to reschedule. I was informed no appt. was made and no meds prescribed. Further inquiry revealed the person I spoke with cancelled the appt. and meds because I commented their approach to my dog was freakin ridiculous in those exact words. I have since been informed the my dogs medical records have been mailed to me and they will no longer see my pet. This is just the last in several instances I've had with these people So much for caring about pets I guess because some soft skinned punk was offended by the work "freakin" .... I have been coming here for three years now. And based off my most recent visit, I will no longer be coming back here. The terrible customer service experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will no longer give this clinic any more of my money. I came for a quick immunization visit, which was scheduled at 11 AM. I arrive five minutes early and got checked in. Another woman arrived a few minutes after me and was shortly taken back. I sat and waited a little bit longer when one of the technicians, the woman who was scheduled to take the appointment, says to me, "Sorry I'm just finishing up a call. It will only be a few more minutes." That was at 11:02am, I checked. Now when somebody says that to you, how would you perceive it? A few, to me, means three to five. Well not according to her. Finally 10 minutes later she comes to take my pup for her appt. I said in the future I'd appreciate a phone call if you're running late. She apologized as they are short staffed, I said I understand but a phone call could really help. It was only an immunization appointment so she comes back out and as she is checking out and I am almost ready to leave she says you know in the future technician appointments are scheduled at 30 minutes, so as long as it's within the 30 minutes that I am helping you it's not late. I said and if that is the case some communication would have been appreciated. She then says, "Okay you don't have to be rude. I did communicate to you." I told her a few minutes? That was not a few minutes. My dog gets very anxious and to avoid any situation because of her being uneasy I could have been informed, say when I checked in, and I could have waited with her outside or in the car even. She said yeah you could have. And I told her I could have if you would have communicated more effectively to me. Then the other guy at the front desk chimes in and said "Okay. You are being really rude right now." I'm being rude? For asking to be informed in the future if they are running behind? That is not being rude. I communicated this in a very clear tone and apparently they didn't like being told that. Or the confrontation. Who knows. But needless to say that is the last time I will be scheduling any services. They forget they are not the only veterinary clinic in the area. Just go down the street and you'll find one. Go up the street and there's another. And that is just in a 1-2 mile radius. My pets insurance has reached out to the vet 2 times and have not received a response. When I called from my phone I was put on hold for a very long time and then called from a blocked number on a different phone they answered right away. We've been coming here since we moved to Marysville in 2017. Theyve been nothing but AMAZING. Today especially, we had to bring our 6 year old Dobie/pit mix in for a dental cleaning and Kari the dentist was AWESOME!! She clearly explained every step of the procedure in detail. I left the clinic understanding post op care 100% The dental cleaning was a bit spendy but we were prepared for that. And honestly nothing is too expensive for our girl. Has clearly gone downhill in recent years. Fancy new building but unfortunately with a front end full of attitude (rude and impatient over the phone, literally heard them talk bad about my dog right in front of me). Waited 30+ minutes past appointment time for a simple allergy shot, didn't tell me to wait in the car, assumed we'd go right back. Staff unapologetic and seem annoyed to have to help clients (Other than ONE super nice vet tech). Every appointment and on every visit summary they suggest a multitude of tests our pets don't need! If they didn't have it last year and they're indoor pets...what are we doing testing again?!?!? My cat has wrongfully been kept on an expensive diet well past necessary and needing mandatory check ups for the past EIGHT YEARS. Is doing just fine w/ OTC now, since this vet refused to refill even tho the supplier failed to deliver the last order they DID approve. Cat is very old now and who knows how many more bags of food it even needs. Emails regarding this issue ignored/rejected from their full email inbox. Not liking one of my pets bc they're a handful is one thing (tho I've told them countless times to stop talking excitely to him), but forcing clients to pay out the nose for something they don't need is where I drew the line. Goodbye forever, jerks. Find a new cash cow. P.s. Your email box is STILL FULL and I cannot communicate properly with you. Your phone calls are aggressive and I verbally shut down. I was desperate for someone to see my dog Zeus. I had called multiple ER places only to be told they were at capacity at everyone I had called within an hour distance of us. I left an email for Frontier Village around midnight hoping I could get him in for an emergency visit since there was a 12-14 hr wait everywhere we went. A woman called me to say they had an 1130 that day and could get Zeus in. she was great as I was crying on the phone telling her about his condition and how upset I was that no one would see him. Zeus is regularly seen at a Frontier Village, never with a specific vet, We have gone there for years always had a good visit. Dr. Goldie saw zeus and a woman with red curly hair ( wish I remembered her name) both were very kind and cared about Zeus. They answered all my questions ruled out different issues I was concerned about. They also got me in the next day to make sure the medications were working & that the blood tests he got were accurate. I couldn't be more thankful for them. Zeus is such an important part to my family & Frontier Village understands how important our fur babies are. read more

Horrible experience here with our 8 month old pup. We were told that the pre-surgical visit for a neuter was at no charge. Go in for the visit. No temperature taken, didn't know how to interact with an excited pup, couldn't complete the exam. Then they say this was NOT the pre-surgical visit - it was an initial visit and would be $56. The "Hospital Manager" called me later to explain that it was confusing wording and she can see how the misunderstanding happened - but we still owed the $56 even though they admit they didn't even take his temperature (part of a standard exam). Oh - and the price we quoted for a neuter - it will be 5X that cost. They didn't include sedation, follow up medication, etc in the quote - things you need to get the neutering done. Obviously their goal was to get us in the door and then charge us more. They also pushed some monthly injections that a healthy pup does not need (verified by 2 other vets)- to a cost of over $400. Clearly a money grab. The interaction with the staff and vet came off as condescending. From their tone of voice to the content of the conversation. They care about the dollar - not you or your pet. Our pup will be having his procedure elsewhere (where they gave us a full quote up front and a certificate verifying that the first visit is at no cost). If you want a vet that cares about their clients and your pet - this is not it. read more

Dr Sickler was/is the best. Our Apollo was diagnosed with left elbow dysplasia and right shoulder OCD and Arthritis of a 9year old dog and he just turned a year. It was really upsetting news for our family but Dr. Sickler helped us through all of it. She even went out of her way to reach out to our surgical dr and discuss Apollo with him. She was so helpful, I do not know how I would have gotten through it all without her. read more

I have been bringing my pets to this clinic since they opened in 1983. I was always treated well, my animals were treated like family and Dr Lindvog was amazing. In the last year there has been a definite change. I took my dog in for a nail trim which has been done there for the last 8 years, and he is terrified of the process. He is a rescue with an abuse history, bad knees and old fracture. This is in his records. They brought him out limping and bleeding from being quicked on 5 nails, then charged me extra because he was difficult. This has NEVER happened before.The girls were sullen and rude. I called to make an appointment to do his nails under sedation and was treated horribly by the receptionist. Stay away from this place. read more

Even when I wanted to berate myself for changing my cat's litter (which could have initiated the behavior changes), she was kind and patient and reassuring. Everyone at the front desk was also so patient with me, while I cried like a basket case. I 10000% recommend them and will gladly be switching over my pet's care. As a consequence of the Dr. Alisa Huckell's negligence and unethical behavior, my senior cat sustained a fracture in the course of his visit for a simple blood draw and rabies vaccination. Both Dr. Huckell and the staff denied that he had fractured his hind leg in the course of her exam. Such an injury, of course, would have been obvious to a veterinarian, and indeed a lay observer. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, I could not be present with my cat during the exam, so I only had her word and the word of the staff regarding how the exam was progressing. In the course of what should have been a simple in-and-out procedure, I received a call from Dr. Huckell informing me that my senior cat would not permit her to perform a blood draw or administer a vaccine, and that he would require sedation. Never in the course of any veterinary exam for blood draws, vaccines, weight checks, and the like, has any veterinarian claimed that he has been a difficult patient, and never has he required sedation for such simple procedures. In a follow-up exam, I took my cat to a separate clinic where they confirmed that his leg had indeed been fractured. Dr. Huckell was not only negligent in her duties, but had behaved unethically in her attempt to deny his injury, and implicated the rest of the staff in her cover-up. If you love your pet and value your pet's health and safety, I do not recommend that you take them to Frontier Veterinary Clinic, and I especially do not recommend that you trust your pet in Dr. Huckell's care. I've waited far too long to review this place. We only went here because it was close and convenient to our house. Every single time there was an issue, whether it was money, unexpected charges, rude service, unnecessary procedures, horrible recommendations, and most recently an accident with a simple procedure that wasn't needed. I ended up removing our pet during the last appointment to an Emergency Room. Which they then tried to charge me for for multiple things that wasn't cleared by me and they didn't even talk to me before hand to ask permission for! We've been taking our pets here for a couple years and I've left so frustrated ever single time, saying I will never go back. We finally found another vet that doesn't try to charge us up the butt for things that aren't needed. It's clear this place is strictly about money and not the genuine care of your pet. read more

This is a business first. Keep that in mind. While the staff is nice there are issues with their policies. Just an example is insulin delivered the same day pet is put down and is still in same box they would not take back because it is perscribed. There is only 1 option for insulin from them so not personlized in any way. Another example is follow up care for diabetes being managed at home. I really liked the docs and nurses, but despise the manager. On one of my hardest days money still comes first. It is ok to make money, but make policies that care for the clients. read more

Do not take small breed puppies here. My very healthy Yorkshire puppy was loaded down with vaccines, wormer, revolution at the same visit. He had a severe reaction to all the chemicals. He did seem to recover, but had a cough. Very similarly to other reviews here, we used to love this vet but over the last year it's become clear that they are fleecing everyone for as much money as possible. The other review that talked about spending huge sums of money on reoccurring allergies/skin issues was a real eye opener. That is EXACTLY what we have been going through with them. We've spent over $1000 on things to treat the symptoms but little to no effort was ever made to find the cause or prevent it, they just kept selling us extremely marked up shampoos, mousses, creams, special food, etc. We didn't find out until later that we could have bought all of them online for less than 1/3rd the price. read more

OK, that included bloodwork for $100 and a microchip for 50. So let's say it's $500. That is still twice what it cost to get a dog neutered. When I called to complain, they insinuated that I usually go to a low-cost facility. WTF?? I'm frustrated. I allowed the surgery and microchipped. And believe me. I've been coming here for over 10yrs... the staff are nice and so are the vets but I've seen their prices go up and up... a lot higher then most vets even hospitals and no upgrades to their office so not sure where all this money is going that they are making? Also I'm just disappointed. I called to just get a basic (range) quote for teeth cleaning, I'm aware if they find anything wrong then it would cost more. They wouldn't give me one without me spending more money just to have them look at my 3 dogs. We switched to this vet after a horrible experience with getting our cat euthanized at another, which was just tipping point of not being really happy with that vet anyways. I brought our 14 yr old cat in to Frontier Village for an exam and it was found that he was in need of a dental cleaning and several extractions. Dr. Oas was the vet that examined him and she was so nice and very easy to talk to. I could tell that she cared. It was pricey to have the procedure done, but I am so much happier with this clinic. A much nicer exam room, pleasant vet techs and vet. My previous vet had only one vet who was always rushing through exams and vet techs that never seemed very happy. read more
