    The menagerie!

We have five dogs and one cat. To say it's difficult to get them to the vet to keep up on their check-ups and vaccines is an understatement! I found Wags and Purrs here on Yelp and reached out for information. Carol was so easy to communicate with and when she came to our house to check out the pups, it was fabulous! She is very kind and took good care of our doggies in the relaxation and familiarity of their home. I am so grateful for her excellent care and I look forward to seeing her again when we are due for another appointment!

Carol had lots of helpful information for my newly adopted girl, Seiji. Carol did an exam, gave her an inoculation for lepto. Seiji was an abandoned pup, who lived on the streets of Humboldt Bay, who experienced much abuse. Her gentle touch is just what my Seiji needed. XOXO

I have an elderly golden retriever. Carol came to our house to give an assessment on our buddy. He wasn't doing so good. She was wonderful. As I write this our Jones is doing ok. Things will change because of reality. We will be happy to have her support at the end of his life.

Carol is truly and amazing human being. She was so compassionate in helping our fur baby cross over the rainbow bridge.

Are you taking new "senior" patients in good health? Do you take Pet Insurance?

Sure, happy to, as long as you are in my service area. Most pet insurance works by reimbursing you after you have paid the bill. If you would like to continue, could you send me an email to a private address: carol@wagspurrsvet.com and send me your… Read more

Hi, just wondering if you come to the Arlington area?? My Australian Shepherd hasn’t been doing so well and he is older..

Hi, Unfortunately, I rarely come to Arlington- it is just so far for me to go. You could always call me "day of" and see if there is any possibility.… Read more

Do you serve out in Harstine Island (Shelton) I have a two year old Himalayan male who has spent his life in a cage, breeder cat. He is extremely anxious and needs to be neutered. Is that something youdo? What would be the cost roughly?

Hi Linda, Thanks for reaching out. So sad for these breeding kitties. Ugh. Unfortunately, I do not serve there, and sadly dont know anyone to refer you to.… Read more

Do they offer free pet care for the homeless?

Unfortunately, we do not offer free care for homeless. As a housecall business, our mission is stress free care for pets in their home. You might try Seattle Veterinary Outreach.… Read more

Hello, I am looking to transfer care for my doggo. I was wondering what you charge for vaccines? I am coming from VCA meadowdale. They have a care plan to help pay for vaccines but it was still a bit expensive, so I am looking at my options.

Hi Makena, THanks for reaching out! If you are coming from VCA Meadowdale, you likely live within a non-compete zone that I have to honor until January. If you send me… Read more

I am looking to transfer the care of my 2 small dogs for dental care. One is a yorkie mix (10 yo) and a chihuahua mix (7yo). Both are healthy and are showing no signs of having dental issues (except on visual). Ballpark estimate?

Hi Judi, I dont do dental cleanings on a mobile basis. The anesthetic risk is, in my opinion, too high without the backup of a brick and mortar facility. I can certainly… Read more

I would like to transfer my puppy's care under your establishment. How much is your vaccination costs in total? He's 16weeks now and had 2 vaccinations and 3 dewormer from Petco.

Hi MP, I would be happy to help you and your pup, but first need to make sure you live outside of a non-compete zone that I have with the clinic a left a year ago. Then I can… Read more

This review is long overdue, though that's mostly because finding words that do justice to this…read morepractice is harder than it sounds. We have nothing but glowing praise and gratitude for every single person at Diamond! Our dog, Remy, has been a frequent flyer here for the last four years, since we brought him home at 10 weeks old. Remy has multiple chronic illnesses, with new issues coming up almost weekly. It's sad, frustrating, stressful...and we sometimes feel embarrassed about how often we have to lean on the team at Diamond. But we are ALWAYS met with compassion, patience, and understanding. Everyone treats Remy like a celebrity instead of a burden. He actually *likes* going to the vet, which says everything. Dr. Longoni is Remy's primary vet, and he's an absolute gem; he's so knowledgeable, dedicated, and empathetic. He frequently coordinates with specialists on updated treatment plans, weighs in on urgent issues on his days off, and always offers different approaches/options with pros and cons for each. Whenever he retires, those shoes will be very hard to fill. Our problem child has seen every vet and vet tech at Diamond at some point or another, and we can vouch that they're all fantastic--everyone is aware of Remy's sensitivities, and is friendly, gentle, and kind. The front of house crew are the centerpiece of compassion, going above and beyond to accommodate last-minute appointments, get us records for insurance, relay info between vets, and more. (Thank you Tracie, Berlin, Trudy, Jessica, Angie, and everyone whose name I'm blanking on, we appreciate you too!) We genuinely don't know how we'd navigate his health without you all. Thank you for taking such incredible care of Remy, and of us.

I wish I could remember the names of…read morethe kind VA and vet that helped us, but the day was such a difficult time I sadly don't recall. My daughter and I brought in our boy Stellar to say goodbye. It was his time. He is reactionary to other dogs so it can be difficult to deal with public situations in general. They welcomed us in and allowed us to walk right to the room we were to be in for the procedure. We got to hug and be with Stellar until the end. They did not rush us in any way and wanted us to take our time. A few days later we received a card from them with their condolences. They were so kind as to include nose and paw prints for our boy. It will go perfect with the photo we are doing for our boy. I honestly don't know how to say thank you enough for their kindness, and graciousness, in this time.

Even asked to restrain my non reactive dog without asking any questions prior. The rest of the team seemed pleasant. after they took my dog back the first visit the vet came back pretty passive aggressive and upset that her and her team could not handle a 85 pound husky. he needed water after returning back to the room with me and i was told three times by a vet assistant that it doesn't seem like he does. i asked once again and they brought it in placed it down while saying "i don't even think he's gonna drink it" and my dog drank the whole bowl. he was stressed, panting, this was his first ever vet visit and i reiterated that a number of times. he wasn't aggressive he is just jerky when inexperienced vet techs try to touch him with no warning. the second visit was much smoother. he had to just get shots and the lady on the counter was someone with more comprehension. They were much more kind and understanding of a big dog and how they can act. they took him back for two minutes and he came back smiling. the vet this time did make it clear he didn't like the needle but everything went smoothly. i return a third time and its a automatic request my dog wears a mussel because he bit someone. wouldn't specify who, and the reason "the who" was asked because no biting was ever mentioned and the dog just doesn't bite. so just to make it clear theres people there with different levels of experience and understanding than others maybe they can only handle dogs under 40 pounds. The ironic part is i don't think they wanted me to return because i've had the right phone number and email on file since the initial intake, and never once received reminder for any appointments. each time i asked they said they definitely called, but they didn't. i rechecked the number on file twice. they just don't notify. definitely get a new front desk person, she has no conversation skills!
