The bartender wasn't busy but even when there were other customers she was attentive and quick to serve each person which was appreciated. The coolest part is the pizza place in the same building but on the right of the entrance (Fiddlehead on the left) so you can order pizza and they will deliver it to the seating in the brewery if you are having drinks! They also have their own seating and a sign said you can bring in your own wine for no corkage fee. Very cool! We did not have any pizza but it looked great! All come in cans except Heady Topper, which you can grab on draft from a refrigerated beer engine. I have to say, having it on draft is a magical experience. Their aluminum cups are quite cute and you can take them home. Food is from a truck. Jamaican food that can be quite overwhelming with salt and spice if you're not careful. The potatoes were especially good. They hold events on their website including Boogie Bingo which we attended on Thursday night. Great host with a very dry sense of humor. The brewery is on the outskirts of town. It is an attractive facility situated on a large property with picturesque views. It was a beautiful day and they have lots of outdoor activities (corn hole, frisbee golf, etc) so there were people everywhere! This is a family friendly brewery and there were lots of kids running around. What a great vibe! I had a hand pulled Heady Topper. The brewery is the only place on the planet you can get Heady Topper hand pulled. It was worth the trip. My wife had a can of Light. I should note that other than Heady Topper everything comes in a can. No draft options which also means no tasting flights. I found that odd, but I get it. Not a big deal and it won't impact my rating. If you are in the area you might want to check this place out.

It was a long line when we got there. Ordered drinks and food at the same time. After about 45 minutes still without our burger and salad. My wife asked for an update. They said there were some "kinks" in the kitchen and it was going to be about another half hour. A server came by to see if we wanted to order any drinks while we waited and was going to charge us until my wife questioned that. After checking with her manager, our server was able to get us complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. The "kinks in the kitchen" were really understaffing due to a lack of preparation for a busy weekend. About 45 minutes later, we got our food and asked for boxes to bring it home. I had ordered a Kale and beet salad with fried chicken for $19. This couldn't have been much more than 2 cups of salad. Once I opened it at home at around 9:00 p.m. and saw the three pieces of fried chicken remnants, I couldn't believe that this is what I waited 2 hours to eat. At no point was there any attempt at service recovery; No manager came by to update. It was an incredibly poor performance for this Winooski staple. It felt like they were treating everyone different as a one-time tourist customer, forgetting that there were possibly people there that are repeat customers. I felt bad for our server because she should not have been bearing the brunt of this on her own. She had no support from any manager. I'll stick to the beer, but won't bother with attempting food again.

I ended up showing up the day they released their new smoked beer, and it's like nothing I've ever had before. It tastes like eating a meat stick, but I say that in a good way as the beer seems to grow on you the more sips you take. The initial taste was very strong, but if you eat some cheese and crackers with it, the flavor is balanced. In addition to beer, they also had a nice selection of wine an N/A options. The food menu had some good options and everyone liked what they ordered in my group. The individual who took our order was very helpful in recommending beers based off of taste preferences and letting us try samples. I felt kind of bad for him though as he seemed to be the only one working and had to leave the counter to make food for people as well as take the drink orders. This put a little delay on some people getting drinks, but most people were pretty understanding about it. There was a large crowd when we were there, as we had the happy accident of showing up when there was a bluegrass musician meet-up. The music was fantastic, with a wide range of instruments. The music definitely helped to keep the kids entertained, though it did take over the kid section of the interior seating. Also, huge shoutout for having a kids selection filled with toys.
