Run the other way. This individual is not even a handyman, let alone a licensed professional. He…read morewas hired by my General as a subcontractor to do plumbing work on business, and unfortunately I didn't find out what he is until too late. He is NOT licensed and has no idea about commercial codes. He wasn't even aware - as a plumber - that Onondaga county requires separate plumbing, plans, inspections all done by a licensed plumber. Because of this, when it came time to open my business, we were informed that we didn't have everything we needed for our certificate of occupancy. It took another 8 months after opening to get everything fully mitigated in no small part because this individual came once a week, if we were lucky. Eventually, my General fired him because he was incompetent to complete the plumbing work to code. What had taken him 7 months to unsuccessfully do, a licensed plumber was able to complete in under 2 weeks. Unfortunately, in order to get everything done I had to make compromises, or my walls would have need to be torn open again, thus taking even longer. As you can see from the attached picture, the ugly PVC pipe should be fully enclosed in the walls. It's not what I paid for, but I felt bad for my General. The extra costs of this has jeopardized his solvency. It could have done the same to me, if the county had decided to shut me down rather than allow me to mitigate. For all you General Contractors, you would be well advised to steer clear. I know for a fact, my General had to pay in excess of $20K due to professional malfeasance of Jim Pollack. Feel free to reach out to me and I can tell you more as well as put you in contact with the licensed plumber who eventually finished the job. For residential individuals, if the timeline that he followed for my business project of 8 months late is OK with you, then by all means. I wouldn't hire him clean my toilet, let alone do any plumbing work. That said, I'm looking forward to the next time our paths cross.

When trying to make a sale the owner is very attentive, personable and cooperative. Once you sign the contract reality sets in. You constantly have to chase him to get anything done and he frequently ignores your calls, makes excuses and blames everyone else. I don't believe he's ever finished a house on time and rarely ever completes the "punch list" once you've closed. I've heard from people in the business that he's had bankruptcies and many judgements filed against him. You can't trust the Home Builders Association because they represent builders, not you. I've also heard that he has trouble finding sub-contractors because he has a reputation for poor payment. If you are building a new home RUN from this company even if you have to pay more. Doing business with them is not worth the aggravation.

After all, I really was not thrilled that I had to have a service call. The best part of this review is that there wasn't any charge, he gave me a pound of hummingbird coffee , a fabulous tip on removing the filter and we shook hands. I need to have the entire job done again by someone who knows what they're doing. They are messy and careless. They make you pay before the final coat of poly is dry so they are long gone before you can really check out their handy work. They did offer to come back and try again.
