WOW!!! We moved here from Mpls and have been looking for places like back 'home'. We have tried to stop in a few times but they have been closed (Mondays and Tuesdays) toddy we stopped for our sons 14th birthday cupcakes and this place blew us away. A TON of cupcakes, reasonable prices and friendly service. Most cupcake/dessert places have hardly any options so we were SO surprised!!! Lots of choices and it was so hard to choose. We have 3/6 of our cupcakes tonight and they were SO good. They were fresh, light and not heavy. Mouth watering!! Highly recommend!

Just stopped by to look but couldn't leave without purchasing something. The shop is small so there are only a few seats. It is very much a cake shop. I love the decor. The young lady working in the shop was very pleasant. This shop has macaroons, cupcakes, cakes, parfaits and other treats. We tried 3 macaroon flavors and the strawberry cupcake. It was all so very good and not overly sweet. Good place if you're looking for a treat.

I actually went to the location in Cameron NC (just a few doors down from The Coffee Scene and…read moreDunkin Donuts) but I guess it's too new to be listed here. It's really cute inside, there was upbeat music playing, and the cupcakes all looked delicious! They had a deal where you buy 5 and get 1 free so we went with red velvet, birthday cake, wedding cake, strawberry cheesecake, and two different Oreo flavors. Oh. My. Goodness! My daughter ate the entire birthday cake cupcake so I didn't get to try it, but I did try all the others. (Don't judge!) Red velvet is always my go-to at any bakery and this one was perfect. Moist and just the right amount of frosting. I cannot remember the different names of the Oreo ones but one had more chocolate than the other. I think the one with the piece of a cookies and cream candy bar, white filling, and less chocolate on top was better. The other two were also amazing. I highly recommend them!

First, I'm going to say the customer service could definitely be better. I walked in and wasn't…read moregreeted, but the lady did walk behind the counter to assist me. I had to ask for recommendation before she said anything. (There was no one else in the store at that time). Definitely hoping this is a one off, because the cupcakes were actually good. They are thick, but not dry and so flavorful. I could definitely see myself eating it even without the icing, but the icing was not too sweet and overall really good. For reference I had caramel macchiato and triple chocolate.

The shop offers a myriad of unique cupcake varieties. As much as I would have liked to try them all, my wallet and waistline are probably glad I didn't. The following is the description and my thoughts on the varieties I tried. Dulce de Leche: Tres leches cake, vanilla buttercream, caramel. The vanilla buttercream was thick and flavorful, but the caramel was a little messy and not as strong a flavor as I hoped. As for the cupcake itself, it reminded me of one of the final bites of a stack of pancakes that has been sitting in syrup for a long time and has become soggy. This one was just okay. Salted Caramel: Chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream, rich caramel and sea salt. Even though I prefer vanilla to chocolate, I found this to be a step up from the Dulce de Leche. Again the buttercream was thick and flavorful and the caramel was a little messy. This time around the caramel had more flavor thanks to the addition of sea salt. I think the salted caramel flavor could have been stronger though, so this one is also just okay. Monster Cookie: Peanut butter cake, cookie dough icing, oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms. My Dad actually got this one but was nice enough to let me try a little. The peanut butter flavor of the cake is mild, but still satisfying since there's so much other stuff going on flavor wise. It's most unique aspect is the cookie dough icing that has a slightly gritty texture thanks to all the crystallized sugar. A dash of chocolate flavor is contributed by the chocolate chips and M&Ms, while the texture of the oats is also noticeable. Doughboy approved. PB&C: Chocolate cake, peanut butter icing, Reese's crumbles. This was my favorite cupcake of the batch. The peanut butter icing delivered a fully packed peanut butter flavor that was only intensified by the Reese's crumbles. Personally, I would have preferred it on a vanilla cupcake and that the Reese's crumbles covered all and not just half. Still very good and Doughboy approved. Brownie: Lastly, I couldn't leave without trying a brownie. C. Cup's version is mostly chewy with chocolate chunks within it. The exterior/edges are crispier and more cake like, but the interior is softer and chewier (which is how I like it). I wish it would have had some chocolate frosting to top it off or powdered sugar at the least. Although it's not the best brownie I've had (I still would argue that would be the ones I make) it is still delicious. Doughboy approved. Doughboy_Food_Reviews
