We found a little bit of heaven here in Raeford !…read more We came down for the weekend to visit our family who lives down here and they raved about Kayla Renée cakes and for us to meet them to grab a few delectable treats. Let me first start off by saying what a charming location and business. It is absolutely spotless, and the decorations really fit the business. My hat is tipped to the decorator. And the display cases of the various treats are absolutely inviting. The staff are so very friendly in a really exhibit that southern hospitality and welcoming you into the business. Could not ask for a better staff. I don't even know where to begin other than if you take a look at the pictures they have an amazing selection of cake, cheesecake, brownies, cupcakes, scones, and the list goes on and on ! I was like a kid in a candy store, I'll take one of these and take one of these and take one of these until I filled a box actually and I love my sweets and pastries. So I find something very unique and that is a peach cobbler type of cheesecake and I had to sit down and enjoy it in the shop and let me just tell you it was absolutely incredible and then I had to go back up and get a chocolate peanut butter, cupcake, and that was completely off the wall, incredible again. There are not too many of these type of businesses around anymore and it's nice to see that there is one offering such amazing selections of the various pastries and cakes and cupcakes, etc. Everything was done to perfection and with a very creative touch, and also I must not forget a loving touch of the passion that they have for baking. I would highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area and I didn't notice they are closed on Sunday and Monday. And they do specialize in making cakes, whether it be for a birthday or a wedding or a special event, I would definitely give them a call as I believe you cannot beat the quality and the love going into it. But the real clincher here was when I asked her how well the ice cream would travel as I'd love to take some back for my kids but it was a 90 min drive back to Durham. While she didn't have any insulated bags on hand, that didn't stop her from getting creative and resourceful to help me get Fayetteville's best gelato back to the triangle.
