Having a baby has completely changed my perspective and given me a new appreciation for photography and the amazing skills some photographers have. Getting even a good iPhone picture can be difficult! That said, after being a little disappointed with my daughter's six-month photo shoot results, I went in search of a new photographer for her nine-month/family session. Luckily for us, we found Tony. He impressed me from the beginning with his responsiveness and the instant willingness to do an outside photo shoot in December. Tony has an amazing eye for detail and carefully explained how he wanted to set up the various shots. He has a way of making you feel at ease and like you're not posing. My husband enjoys photography as a hobby, and Tony was generous with his tips and tricks. The results were amazing! He was able to capture her little personality beautifully. The pictures really are pieces of art-his skill just shines through. His way of capturing the light and the colors is pretty incredible. From our very first contact with Tony about our newborn photoshoot my husband and I were so impressed by his professionalism. He answered all our calls, emails and questions promptly throughout the whole process, from booking to receiving our final photos! During our session we discovered how very warm and clearly passionate he is about what he does. We would even go so far as to call him the "baby whisperer". We were so impressed with how gentle and patient he was in handling our 14 day old newborn girl and his ability to swaddle and calm her so adeptly. We were so grateful to have the professional detailed handout on what to expect during the session and how to prepare. It just made it so much easier for us to know how the morning would go and what we could do to make it as pleasant of an experience for our baby and ourselves. On the morning of the shoot he was exactly on time. For us new parents trying to balance preparing with everything from nursing, eating breakfast, getting ready, and twelve other things, it was so appreciated that he was neither early nor late, the timing was just perfect. Tony is nothing if not prepared, he came with his bag of goodies and brought a good variety of baskets, outfits, wraps, backdrops, and even professional lighting equipment for our shoot so that we would receive a variety of unique photos and poses. He even brought a custom travel themed backdrop and setup after we had mentioned how much how much we love to travel! He was very flexible and patient during our shoot and even extended the session since we lost some extra time due to changing, feeding and general fussiness from our newborn. The final images we received are gorgeous! You can see a few of our favorites here, but there are so many beautiful ones... it's hard to pick faves! Tony Froude has an eye for beauty. My fiance and I are beyond thrilled with our engagement photographs. Our engagement session in SF was super fun. We traveled around the city and discovered new sights we haven't visited yet, even though we live here. Tony knows lots of unique spots and vantage points that you often don't get with other SF engagement photographers. He is apparently a well-traveled adventurer and knows how to position himself or the subject to create a shot that is unforgettable. Tony is also funny and immediately puts you at ease. Engagement shoots can be daunting, especially for non-photogenic and shy people such as my fiance. He was able to get my fiance to open up and cooperate, and I think he actually enjoyed the process! If you look on yelp and on Tony's website all his photos are amazing. I was really surprised how much less his newborn photo were in comparison to others who offer same service, but did not have the same quality. He failed multiple time keeping phone appointments with us to discuss details - with no explanation and no follow up. As a result of his lack luster communication we decided to take our business elsewhere which is unfortunate as we really did like his style. I hired Tony from Froude Photography to do a video of my listing in Fremont. It was a home listed just under 2 Million. It was my first time doing a video where I was in it presenting the house. Wow! Just amazing! Tony recently photographed my daughter's Junior Prom photos and the results were magical! He's got a great eye and is a true artist. We hired Tony as our wedding photographer for our April wedding. He is a true professional and really goes above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible from the beginning. I love working with Tony! I should have written a review after our first shoot but it slipped my mind so I absolutely have to write one now! Last week I had Tony shoot my senior graduation photos and I absolutely adore ALL of them! He has really captured the art of photography with a personal touch. He makes you feel at ease during the session, he has a great eye and the ability to capture the absolute best version of yourself. The shots were very creative and original and best of all, they turned out so natural, no awkward poses or smiles! Last month I did a family session with him along with my sister, bro-in law and nephew who just turned one and those photos turned out absolutely fantastic as well! Tony knew of a park in Walnut Creek and we all met up there to do the shoot. Those pictures were absolutely amazing and he gives you the link to the final pictures in no time. We used Tony to photograph our daughter's junior prom photos - in a word, Tony's work is amazing. On top of the beautiful photos he took of our girl, he also made it fun for her and her date. Teenagers are not always the most agreeable people to work with, if you know what I mean. She was smiling and having a great time throughout. This review is long overdue. I had Tony come to my workshop during the fall of last year to do a photoshoot to highlight some of my reclaimed wood work for an upcoming advertising campaign. Prior to the shoot, he was very prompt in responding to emails and calls and made sure to answer any and all questions I had in detail. On the day of the shoot to say he was well prepared is an understatement, he brought quite a collection of lighting equipment, lenses, stands and flashes to make sure he could do the job perfectly. He is very detail oriented and worked closely with me to make sure to capture the images in the way that I wanted to help showcase my work. He has quite an artistic eye and I was pleased to find that the final photos were so much better than anything I could have imagined or asked for. We needed a family photographer to shoot our son's first birthday party. After spending time planning this elaborate event we wanted someone who could capture the whole event from start to finish including all the fine details and special touches.
