I got the tart dairy free flavor of froyo and it was sooo tasty. Almost like a creamy and tart lemon/vanilla. Went perfectly with my fresh toppings of: Passionfruit popping boba, mango popping boba, kiwis, almonds, cookie dough and blueberries! Delicious!! I also added a dairy free berry and a watermelon froyo swirl to try. They were both delicious, but the watermelon was a little too sweet for me. The fruit options were pretty fresh and juicy, but the kochi was rock hard. The Oreos in the drawer also tasted a little bit stale. Service here was friendly and fast, employees were super nice! One of the last bastions of the 2012 Froyo craze. Let me start, the ambiance is perfect. They play pop hits from the early 2010's, the mascot is cheery, and ratatouille is playing on the TV. It's like you stepped into a time portal. The froyo is wonderful. It tastes like they used real fruit and vanilla bean to make the flavors. Some of the best froyo ive had. The toppings, plentiful. Just as a preface, I am a hard core froyo lover and so my review may be harsher than most but only because I'm #dedicatedtothedelicacy. Just off the bat though, I was very skeptical to come here at first because I have a high standard of froyo and coming in, the place seemed a little run down and not super inviting ambiance or design wise. I thought it was a little much to be a "self serve" place but also have someone waiting on you for samples. While I admit the froyo was surprisingly better than I expected with a smooth and creamy consistency and fun flavors like lychee tart, there was no original tart available and no promotions or celebrations for National froyo day. In fact when I asked, it didn't even seem like the people working there knew that it was. I personally don't think I would go back, but if you really have to get your froyo fix in Boston, it's probably your best option of the already slim pickings. read more

More reasons why I miss self serve frozen yogurt places. In California, it's self serve and priced by weight so I always fill up the container strategically by including the sides and the middle. This location has good flavors. But when I've ordered for delivery there is always a huge hole in the middle. The consistency is impacted by that hole and the way I eat it completely annoys every OCD bone in my body. If yogurt places had to meet ADA compliance standards like other businesses have to meet for other business products and services they would fail. It's so upsetting because frozen yogurt is my fave because I don't eat dairy or ice cream. Hopefully someone somewhere will see this review and bring back self serve and all the customers will go like moths to a flame. Based on some reviews it says this is a self serve place. I haven't been yet so maybe my review will change. But if you are thinking of ordering through a delivery all, DON'T...because who sends their product out to customers like this?! read more

The froyo does melt significantly fast though...had a friend fill their cup to the rim with froyo and end up with a brown puddle with the concoction of flavors all mixed up. Eck!~ Very impressed with the electronic screens featuring the flavors. The toppings are pretty much the same as mixx with fruits, snacks, and bursting bobas, but how they set themselves apart is the organization of the snack toppings. It's pretty much like the candy sections in confectionery stores where you shovel out your candies from a clear box. I love the 'shovel'--that way I can shovel out my mochis more easily! =D A little pricey for froyo...came out close to $6. Convenient handsanitizers at your disposal, very clean, and spacious. I went here recently to get my froyo fix and it, sadly, reminded me why I've been enjoying regular ice cream more. I think that the appeal with froyo is that you can customize it to have exactly the toppings you're in the mood for. Whether you're looking for fruit, or chocolate, or the weirdest combination you can think you, froyo has you covered. The froyo was pretty watery here. I tried to push the handle down to get that froyo out that's been sitting for a while, but even when I did that, it was still falling apart once it hit the container. It still tastes good though. There were some little flies hovering over the containers of toppings which is annoying no matter where you are. I'm definitely no interior designer, but the all white furniture makes the chairs and tables look dirtier than they actually are. On the positive side, their staff was very nice and they have one of the largest topping selections I've seen at a froyo place. Unfortunately, I think I'll be sticking to traditional ice cream for a while. read more

One of my favorite places for Froyo however is super expensive comparatively speaking to other places I've never in my life paid $17 for one Froyo this is because they up charge on all of their toppings and the charge is not small. If they weren't so expensive we'd be there more often. Unfortunately it's some thing that while we enjoy it, it's just so expensive. Almost insulting when they give you the total for two froyo's and it adds up to almost $40-insanity to me not sure why they don't see it. Came here last night with my boyfriend for some froyo. Maybe the fad is on its last limb but FroyoWorld was empty. An employee greeted us and asked if we wanted an free samples which I though was nice. They have a huge selection of flavors - I would say about 20 or so to give a lot of variety. They also have lots of assorted candies, crunchy things, and chocolately things to put on top of your froyo that come out of dispensers. Then there is a bar that has fruit and more chocolately things and finally a station for sauces. They had so many sauces I couldn't make up my mind with what I wanted. They have free wifi and a lot of seats inside as well as two benches outside. The place is a little expensive compared to other froyo places in the area and we ended up spending 18 dollars on two (which is nuts!) it was a nice treat but definitely not priced at an every day indulgence. read more

The customer service is TERRIBLE!! I have never been treated so rudely by a employee in my life. NEVER GO HERE. As I was pressing the pump down for the vanilla, it got slightly stuck and started to overflow. This was an honest mistake, and I did not think it was my fault until I realized I could force the lever back up. I silently figured it out and stopped the flow of the yogurt. I wasted probably four spoonfuls. Immediately following this, a short woman in a blue tank top and black pants ran up from behind the counter to my face screaming asking why I wasted so much in front of the entire store. She brushed by me and continued to yell as if it was the most offended and horrified she'd ever been. I never said a word to her. I was humiliated and confused. She further chastised me and did not make me feel like a welcomed customer who made an honest mistake, and was willing to pay for it. When my boyfriend defended me and confirmed it was just a mistake, and asked her to lower her voice, she proceeded to kick him out. As I'm sure you know, the first rule in customer service is to treat your customers with respect. She lacked that. Also the place is dirty. read more

FroyoWorld is my favorite froyo in the Boston area; I'd choose it over Pinkberry, Red Mango, Orange Leaf, and BerryLine any day (BerryLine would be my second choice though). I compare froyo places to one another based largely on the taste of their original flavors. I don't care how many toppings there are because no amount of toppings can compensate for unsatisfying frozen yogurt. Mochi topping is a plus for me though, and FroyoWorld has your standard mochi, in addition to a gratuitous amounts of fruit, chocolate, nutty, saucy, and other toppings...so we goood. (If you love mochi though, BerryLine has incredible homemade mochi that you NEED to try.) My ideal original froyo flavor is based off the taste of a drinkable yogurt I've only ever had in China. And I'm definitely not referring to Asian yogurt drinks like yakult/calpico/yaku that are prevalent in the Asian markets around here. The yogurt I'm longing for, whose flavor made a vivid impression on my taste buds over a decade ago, is tart; it's so very tart, but also delightfully sweet. This is so very fitting, since "yogurt" in Mandarin literally translates to "tart milk." The product most reminiscent of this tartly sweet memory I've been able to find here is plain Lifeway kefir, sweetened to taste. The froyo version? You guessed it:] For me, yogurt is meant to be tart like the Greek varieties, so froyo is, likewise, best served tart. I'm not so crazy about the other flavors, but their ORIGINAL and LYCHEE flavors are where it's at. This place was good. The ambiance is very nice. They got a large table for large groups of 6-8 to sit at and small tables for a couple people to sit. The music was punk rock so it doesn't fit the mood that a typical froyo place. I love froyo so I decided to get something. I got the lychee froyo and it was pretty good. It wasn't too sweet or anything but it definitely wasn't bland as well. As usual I get the same toppings, all the popping boba colors cuz I wanna taste the rainbow know what I mean? But the liquid the kiwi flavored one had was very thick compared to the other flavors. And I got the mochi as well, this place only had the white one. I also got some fruit which I don't recommend because it's like canned fruit, basically like all the other places but it was still good. The reason why it merited the 4 stars was because the froyo itself wasn't exactly the right consistency. It was already a little bit melted and liquidy right after it landed into the cup from the machine. I eat pretty fast but I ended up having to slurp most of my froyo. read more

I went here today with my friends, the place had a weird smell (a mixture of mold and disinfectant--not ideal for a froyo place). The froyo came out more as a liquid as well, and one of the employee's wasn't wearing her mask properly when handling the food. One employee yelled at my friend who was switching to a new mask for having her mask off her less than a second, we assume this was racially charged because there were others in the store with no masks on eating and there was nothing said to them. The employee got really close to my friends face to yell at her, that was scary. The cashier was kind and I think felt bad for that behavior of her coworker, the other employee just upsetting for us and to walk out of a place that smelled off and expensive liquid frozen yogurt I would not suggest this spot or come back here again. Just got delivery from here so cannot speak to the in-store experience but I would encourage you to think twice before ordering in from here... The froyo was SUPER frozen when it arrived. Like ice crystals, iceman frozen. And the toppings were minuscule, like did you steal that from your little sisters play set small. And for the amount of money thats being charged ($1.25/ topping), I would expect more then a dollop of Fluff (aka their marshmallow sauce) and 4 raspberries. I'm not sure if something crawled into the machine or if they don't clean the machines thoroughly, but this is absolutely disgusting and I will not be ordering from them again. I absolutely love this little cute place. It's super clean and bright. There are so many flavors to choose from. The owner/manager? seem to be very friendly and accommodating. Their staff are super nice and allows you to try as many froyo as you like. My friend and I tried two different flavors and loved it. I settled on the Cheesecake and taro. They weren't very frozen as a little runny. The owner/manager fixed it and offered to swap it with a fresh batch which i turned down because there wasn't a need to waste it. Next you walk to the toppings spot. all the grains and such were in a dispenser which you turn and it would fall into your cup. This included almonds since they were thinly sliced. Then the bottom in it's "cubbies" were candies, chocolates and such. When you walk over a little more, all the fruits and wet items were displayed. WOW, so many options!! The payment processing was very quick. I was offered their rewards card which you also earn back 10% of what you purchase so that's always nice. And you're giving a card but if you forget your card, you can just give them your name and they can look you up! How fantastic is that?! One thing though -- while it's clean and great in there and with a huge statue in the middle of the room and surrounded by cups, and the place is well lit, it's too hot in there. Delicious froyo! Perfect location for those who are dining in the Allston area to get some refreshing dessert afterwards. Froyo World is located right on Harvard Ave, minutes away from tons of other restaurants. The people working there were very friendly and offered us samples of any flavors we wanted to try. There are at least 10 different flavors to choose from, and I believe they switch them up every couple of weeks. I ended up getting the strawberry lemonade sorbet and lychee froyo with mostly fruit toppings, and it was amazing! The strawberry lemonade sorbet was particually unique, since I haven't had that at other froyo shops. The flavors are good, and the yogurt has the perfect consistency. The toppings are all very fresh, which is especially important when you're a fruit lover like I am. I had a rewards card from the first time I came here months ago, and I had 57 cents off my froyo. Definitely get their free rewards card because 10% of your purchase is saved for future froyo purchases (ex: buy $5.70 froyo, you earn 57 cents that you can use next time). Staff here usually ask if you want samples and are nice. What's awesome about this place is their rewards program. Each time I go I get a a little bit shaved off my total price which I had earned from my previous purchase, it's a never ending cycle of discounts, there's no reason not to use it.
