Did I need ice cream? not at all. Did I order some since I probably won't be back for years? You betcha! I ended up ordering a two scoop cone with some form of cookie monster style ice cream as well as a scoop of double chocolate (or something like that). I was expecting two regular size scoops, but no, this cone was massive and dripping all over my hand (luckily, they offered a little bowl in case it melted to much) and I went to work on this thing. Both of the ice cream flavours were super rich, tasty, and really hit the spot (not of hunger, but of being cold) on a hot and humid New England day. Overall, Crescent Ridge is in the perfect location for grabbing some desert after eating at the food hall. They operate out of a little window on the corner of one of the busiest streets in Eastie. The line moves very quickly and the sweet treats they have are a huge bang for your buck. I opted for a Gelati, specifically the orange cream one, which is their creation of homemade slush layered with soft serve ice cream. Very refreshing on a summer day and a perfect solution if you're having a tough time choosing between ice cream or Italian ice. I'll definitely be back again before the end of the season to indulge in more sweet treats!
