It said online it was closed at 8:30 but there was a line outside so we checked it out and it was pretty good! I enjoyed my banana pudding scoop very much. My husband said the mint chip was fairly good. My sister-in-law was disappointed with the London fog which was too subtle and tasted like vanilla. In any case. To order you go up to a little window and there's a few tables on the street to eat at. The workers were really nice and helpful for picking a flavor. We got 3 baby cups with banana pudding, strawberries & cream, and London fog. The banana pudding and London fog were pretty good and had a nice strong flavor, but the strawberries & cream just felt a little lackluster because it seemed like a pretty average strawberry ice cream. Cute local ice-cream spot. We got ice-cream from their takeout window and wow was the menu small (maybe 12 flavors max). Went with their mint chip which had an odd icy texture. The first couple bites are tasty but once you get halfway the peppermint starts tasting too strong. It's more stings of mint than creamy sweet mint flavor. I visited Jamie's for the first time to try their matcha and ice cream. The place immediately stood out because of its clean, aesthetically pleasing interior and consistent branding. It makes a great first impression (visually) We order a matcha latte, pistachio ice cream on a cone and strawberry ice cream. I mentioned that I wanted my ice cream to go. After receiving the matcha, we waited about 10 minutes for the ice cream (the shop being nearly empty as it was close to closing time.) We checked back with the cashier, who had apparently forgotten our order. When we finally received it, my ice cream was served in a cup with a cone on top. I asked if there was a lid available, but was told there wasn't. The matcha latte had chunks of matcha powder that made the drink hard to enjoy. Overall, the atmosphere and design were great, the service and product didn't live up to the visual appeal. Flagship store is in Cambridge so this one often runs out of waffle cones if you go too late given that they get a limited supply of batter. Our favorite flavors are the cold brew chip, milk dunked, brown butter cookie dough, and maple walnut. The fall flavors include maple walnut, apple crisp, chai latte and pumpkin loaf. The flavor list sounds really good, but one flavor was described totally incorrectly when we asked about it (the worker said it was chocolate based and it most definitely was not). The portions were very small (yet not inexpensive), and my cone was completely hollow. One of our flavors was nicely creamy, but the other was very icy with granular texture throughout. it was supposed to have brownies in it, but one small chunk was all there was in a "small". I went to the new location near Cambridge and loved it! I had two baby scoops in a small cup - one of the London fog and one of the banana pudding and was delighted by the flavors and textures of both. The person at the cashier was very kind and didn't complain about us requesting multiple samples. She was also very informative and told us about how they make their own ice cream starter in house and for the London fog, they add tea to the starter, which is why it really tasted like a true tea ice cream. Blueberry ginger sorbet & strawberry limeade sorbet My mom tells me to eat ginger and put it in this and that.so, when I saw a blueberry ginger sorbet I was quite interested. It had a very strong and intense flavor that I really liked. The main flavor was the blueberry but it also had notes of the ginger which made it feel good to eat. Like I wasn't eating something sweet and sugary. Very fruit taste but also felt healing? Great ice cream spot in Brookline! All the flavors are delicious, but what really stood out was just how friendly all the employees are! It is a walk up window where you order and then they call your name when your ice cream is ready. We all got the baby scoops which was only 3.50$, and still a very good portion! Jamie's used to be my go to place for ice cream! Last year I would literally go to Jamie's at least once a week because the ice cream was that good. However, as of 2024, the ice cream is no longer homemade and it is mass produced for wholesale, etc. The cold brew chip no longer melts in my mouth like it used it and it is instead filled with cheap and unhealthy ingredients including corn syrup and carrageenan. This new spot opened up recently next to brothers and sisters cafe (and is owned by the same people), been wanting to try it, so what better day than National Ice Cream Day! I got the Brown Butter Cookie Dough, which sadly was not great. The base didn't taste like much, simple sweet cream and the dough pieces were an odd texture and taste, not my cup of tea. But everything else was great! Pistachio was lovely, nutty with soft crunchy roasted pistachios throughout. Iced chai latte hit the right tangy spiced notes, I'd add a crunchy mix-in like ginger snaps to really take it to the next level. The cherry pie was delightful. And milk dunked cookie was a nice take on cookies and cream. Overall, a great new spot, that finally brings ice cream back to Station St after over 30 years (some of us might remember Tuesday's and the incredible pumpkin ice cream they made before the owner left to Maine and closed down). out of five cones. Huge fan of Jamie's ice cream. I have been trying out different ice cream places around Boston and the Greater Boston area and this is by far my favorite. The ice cream is creamy, smooth and they offer awesome flavors. My favorite so far as been the cold brew chip and the pistachio. Cute shop with good flavors. Good enough to justify the prices. What is incredibly frustrating is the limited hours and lack of staffing. Clearly there is a demand for your product but you don't know how to manage customer demand or staffing. Also why did the three people who ordered after me get their orders first? I saw another reviewer post about a flight of 6 scoops for $10 so I'm not sure how to justify the price of one scoop. The two people working were visibly unhappy/unpleasant and were on the verge of rude when calling names for pick up. They were out of several flavors which is understandable for a newer business and still disappointing since they're only open a few days of the week.
