On a recent trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon we stumbled upon a place called Jacob Lake Inn. This food stand is located right in front of the inn. Navajo tacos can be made savory or sweet depending on what you top them with and both versions are pretty amazing. The savory ones can be topped with your favorite meat like bison & chicken and fresh lettuce, tomato, green onions, sour cream, cheese, etc. The sweet ones can be topped with honey butter, cinnamon sugar, chocolate, etc. So what exactly is fry bread? Its a flat dough bread, fried or deep-fried. It has a crispy shell but is fluffy and airy inside. And the fun part is you can top it with a lot of delicious goodies. Truly the best thing we ate all week while in the area. Outdoor seating is available right next to the food stand as well.
