While staying in the area for the winter we would shop here since it was the closest large market to the RV Resort. For the most part we had no problems with the store, liked their selection and interior. During our weekly shopping trip we found a sale on Porterhouse Steaks. As you know there are two types of meat per steak. One is more tender choice cut than other side. We found a package with nice looking steaks, finished our shopping. Upon arriving at our home opened the package found that all the hidden steaks had the tender part of steak removed. Talk about misrepresenting the product. Took them back to return and clerk tried to give us a hard time because the package had been opened. Manager came over and refunded right away. Incredibly crowded and chaotic due to the 95% elderly customers. What makes it worse are the random aisle displays that cause obstructions. Stopped today and two rude employees. One was a woman stocking shelves that answered me very abruptly when I asked where the eggs were. Fry's Food Stores - Waiting for customer service! Do better! - Grocery Near Me - Yuma, Arizona

The store web page says that this Fry's location has a Pharmacy located there and it has a drive thru window to pick up prescription medications . All well and good it also says that they close for lunch from 1:00pm to 1:30pm. All well and good, but what they don't tell you is that the drive thru pick up window is closed on Sunday! Fry's web site says that it is open, the sign in the window says it's open from 10:00am to 5:00pm and closed for lunch from 1:00pm to 1:30pm daily not that the drive thru is closed all day on Sunday ! I wasted 45 mins of my time! And there were three other people that got in line for the drive thru. Maybe Fry's needs to take the time to put a traffic cone or a chain with a sign on it that says that the pharmacy drive up window is closed on Sunday. Fry's needs to update their website to indicate that the drive through window is not open on Sunday ! read more

The self checkout people are so rude. Not helpful and need to be told they should smile even if its early in the morning. I have only ran into 2 people at self check out that were helpful and friendly. Usually they have a scowl on their face and if you ask for something, they act like you are asking them to do something outside their job description. I lived in Alburquerque a while and Fry's was my local store so I was thrilled to shop here, again. We were staying in Yuma a few days so picked up some groceries so we wouldn't have to shop when we got home. I walked into the produce section and it was huge! The produce department was clean, bright and colorful with all the fruits and vegetables. They had almost everything I could imagine. I found an employee in produce to ask if they had a certain item. She didn't know what it was so had to go ask someone else-who said they don't carry it. It wasn't the best because I did find it on my own before she got back. I was able to show her. Stores should really know what they carry. All the rest of the aisles were packed with wonderful items. The International Foods section had lots of interesting ingredients. The bakery was crazy good. Breads and bagels and pastries! Oh, My! I did get some good breads and hubs found a few pastries he couldn't pass up. They also had a good selection of wines and other alcohols. I love Fry's! I recommend them highly and will definitely go to this store again. I really wish they would open a store in our town and take over! Fry's-Call Me! We'll work out a deal! read more

If you can't fix your coupon electronic system. I am very tired of your people treating me like I'm stupid when I'm in your stores. You update the system every 6 months and everybody has get used to it again.. Your people tell me because I don't download my coupons at home. It's not gonna work? (I don't have WiFi at home) doesn't make any sense to your cashiers. And if I do clip the coupons at home by time I get to the store they're gone and the system says I've already used them. WTH ?? The system doesn't work 100% and frys employees need to keep their attitude to themselves other than implying I'm stupid. Terrible management of stock. Frequently out of various products, especially produce (oranges and assorted fresh vegetables), and quality can be hit or miss. It can take 5-7 days to replenish the items they are out of. Their employees are helpful and nice. The store is clean and well kept. read more

Went to this store twice and never again. When you use self checkout (had to due to very long lines at cashier checkouts), you scan all items then the screen stops everything so an employee can come over and count your scanned items. I'm a well dressed retiree and not used to being treated as a thief. Remember, I'm doing your job for you. Speaking of.... on a Sunday morning at 10am there were ZERO shopping carts in the store. This store used to be amazing. I'm not sure what happened. They rearranged the store and got rid of a lot of the cool things they had like the olive bar, salad bar, mochi, moon pops, etc. There are several great employees here. The starboard is also one of the best ones in the area. Also the pharmacy here is HORRIBLE. Very rude workers! My low rating is mainly due to the pharmacy and how the store went downhill. Pharmacy consistently messes up prescriptions due to "the system", the fax machine... or the wrong/generic medication, it's always something. The demographics here are retired couples reliant on medications. Subsequently, there is always a line through the store. Their latest change is closing down the entire Pharmacy between 1:00-1:30 and they tell people they can't wait online during this time. Horrible business practices given this SHOULD be an easy money maker for them. Everyone is disappointed and locals expect the poor service. After moving to such a tiny town from Nashville, I was nervous about the kind of selection my nearest grocery store would offer. Grocery stores are a dime a dozen in a big city, but a small town like this? You kind of just have to have a "get what you get and you don't throw a fit" sort of mindset. Because they're fewer and farther between. Luckily, I hit the jackpot living nearby this Fry's. We had plenty of Kroger's stores back in Nashville and Fry's is the same thing, only truly this particular location is WAY better than any of the Kroger's that I frequented back in TN. I'm always very impressed with how much this store has to offer. The staff has always been nice. The store is big and has plenty to choose from. The shelves are kept stocked well (I do most of my shopping in the mornings), there's a Starbucks inside as well as home good items and some toys (so not just food items), and I've also always been satisfied using the grocery pick-up that's available through the app. I get that there aren't many places giving this particular Fry's competition at the moment, but regardless I feel like the store has everything I need and would shop there anyway! read more

On Friday, 2/19/21, my husband & I went into this Fry's store to do our grocery shopping. While in the store we noticed several people not wearing masks. When we questioned a couple of the employees, we were told, they were told they couldn't enforce it because they weren't the sheriffs office. Meanwhile masks are mandated by the Yuma Department of Health and the Yuma Board of Commissioners. Consequently I completed one of their customer surveys. Today, 2/21/21, I a phone call from the store manager. He informed me that if the employees see a customer come in the store, they will ask them to put a mask on. However, they will not remove someone from the store for not wearing a mask. Apparently this decision has been made by Kroger Corporate Office, the parent company of Fry's Food Store and is being followed by all the Kroger owned stores in Arizona. It would appear that Kroger & Fry's Food is only concerned about profits and not the welfare of its employees or customers. I will be contacting the Yuma Department of Health about this and will not be going to any Kroger Stores & Fry's Stores in the future. read more

Worst Fry's I ever have been in. It's 5 pm. And they Shut registers down. They shut down self check out registers too!! No fried chicken. Went up to ask how long it would be. They didn't want to wait on me our answer my question. The manager came out for lady in front of us because register needed management approval and didn't come out until 10 minutes. Then she said it was fixed and hid. So who ever worked November 2 2023 managers you are doing the worst job ever. We are still At registered it's been 20 minutes. My last review was 2 years ago. Wow! Time flies, but things at this Fry's in Yuma have not improved. The store continues to be under stocked in all departments, the floors are filthy, the sales staff are consistently rude. You can trigger their negative attitude real easy. I have contacted corporate to see if they could step in and turn things around.b 10 years ago when we first came to Yuma Fry's was the go to store and Albertsons was in the condition Fry's is now. NO SERVICE! I shop in this store about 3 times a week. I am always astounded at the complete lack of service and professionalism shown to the customers by the front end self check out team. Today, I had enough and spoke to a manager named Tim. He smirked the entire time I was speaking and when he asked to whom I was referring to, I pointed toward the self check out (the employee had her back to me) and the manager said "we don't point in here". I was never rude or demanding and I am not a 4 year old. Apparently it's okay to treat customers like this because you are in the union. Shameful. Can you imagine what this staff makes per hour???? This Fry's has it all! There is a do it-yourself salad bar... a deli, sandwiches, Chinese food, sushi bar, and self-checkouts in the area plus a dining area and fountain drinks. That's all I paid attention to since I needed lunch, and it had free wifi- score. It's a large store, one of the super Fry's. I saw an olive and cheese bar area, lots of booze, prescription pharmarcy, lots of self-checks, and a TON of everything, more than most Fry's. Also has gas out front. read more

I am very frustrated with Fry's Customer Service. I placed a pick-up order on Saturday and looked at my bank account on Monday. I was in a negative balance. Upon review, i see i was charged 2 times for the pickup order on Sat. This totaled aprox. $480. Now all other bills and expeditures are bouncing so my fees are adding up and all i am being told is "sorry must have been a glich and the 2nd charge should fall off in 3 to 5 business days. I live in LAGUNA beach Ca..I wanted to send some groceries to my disabled 92 year old brother who lives in Yuma off the frontage road. I learned Frys delivers to your door so I ordered a box of groceries last evening. They were delivered to his door around 9:30 this morning. They let me know via e-mail that delivery was made. They credited me back on one item that was out of stock. I am very pleased with their service, their products, their efficiency, and plan to order again. Thank you Nathan for excellent service! When you go in to buy a money order for $180 and get a loading Apple Card and ask for $60 on it. Just to go home and the Apple Card wasn't active and you look on the receipt and got charged for two money order and didn't receive the $60 money order. This store is going downhill fast, quality of meat and produce is crap, getting worse as each month pass. On top of that, you have to double check your bill, they constantly charge you wrong prices and have to go and visit customer service to get the money they over charged me, at least 4 of 5 times. The quality of the food they sell and overall customer service has changed in the last few months to where it's not worth shopping at this store. I rated two stars because of the items outlined in the following paragraph. I would have rated at 0 (zero) stars for the overall experience as outlined in paragraphs subsequent to the second. The bakery buns are some of the best poboy and hamburger buns I have ever eaten. The store has a wide selection of product. There are often great sales on meats. I have not been to this store earlier than 10 AM nor later than 6 PM but during these hours the store and parking lot are absolutely packed with all manner of people who seem not to know how to drive. It is chaos. Some folks seem to think they can stop in the main drive to wait for someone in the store. The wait may be an hour! There are old people driving around in mobility scouters. There are old ladies high centered on the curbs with their shopping carts. Inside the store is equally chaotic. Avoid the deli, the meat section, and the produce section if you value your sanity. Navigating a shopping cart inside is much the same as a car in the parking lot. Isles are clogged with carts pushed by old people. I'm not sure that Fry's does not double as a daycare for some. Checkout is okay if you have a human checker but god help you in self checkout. I am particularly frustrated by the robot checker constantly telling me to either put items in the bagging area or to take items out of the bagging area. Good on the employees who have to deal with the constant mistakes and ID checks. I hope this review is informative for the reader and cathartic for me. read more

I have been a Fry's customer for a number of years and the customer service I received today was beyond appalling. The cashier in question was wearing latex gloves and a face mask, good on her. And that, unfortunately is as far as the praise goes. After the cashier had finished assisting the customer in front of me, ringing her up, cashing her out, and had a little chit chat with her, she did not change her gloves, did not wash her hands, did not use hand sanitizer, not even wipe down the common area of her work station. Then she went to reach for my order. I stopped her there. I asked her if she was going to change her gloves, and quite nastily "excuse me?". No, I don't think I will. I told her that since she had finished with the previous customer, so all the germs from that person, had now been transferred to her keyboard, and now she was going to transfer them to my order. I asked her to either, changer her gloves, wash her hands, or get another cashier. She replied. again, very nastily, "I'm not washing my damn hands and I'm not washing my damn hands." Yep, you are done. I asked for the manager. I told the manager that I did not appreciate the staff cussing at me. I told him what had transpired and she got even more confrontational by pulling out this little wipe of some nature and not sure where it came from and wiped down the the check writing ledge and just that area. I told the manager that my wife is fighting breast cancer and can not afford to bring any bugs home. The cashier's refusal to changer her gloves or wash or hands has now put my wife's health and her life in jeopardy had I allowed this person to continue. I told the manager that his store just lost a customer. And from the attitude of this cashier I can only hope that I am not the only one. Unfortunately there are not stars with a negative sign...
