Mrs. Rehmane and her team are outstanding educators and communicators. Both kids and parents adore them. FSM's location is Mrs. Rehmane's home in the Burlingame Hills and is very organized. She uses the best Montessori educational materials in her school, which teaches up to 12 students between the ages of 3-6. Her calm, warm demeanor makes everyone feel at ease, including our youngest daughter who has been attending FSM for the last 2 years. Mrs. Rehmane has been an educator for many years and has built a great team around her, including Ms. Carla and Ms. Sandy, who comes twice a week for 1 hour of Spanish and/or music class. We recently completed an in-school observation while all the children were there, and it was really adorable (and amazing) how quiet and concentrated they all were with the various "jobs" that Montessori students take on during the day. We have the option to move our child to the local public school for TK, but we will keep her at FSM for another year as we believe Mrs. Rehmane will help accelerate her learning across reading, writing, and math, as well as geography, science, etc. Also, FSM offers extended hours care, which has been very helpful to us and other parents. 5 stars isn't enough here -- we'd give her 10! :) read more

Our family absolutely loves FSM Montessori School. Both of our children attended for over a year before their kindergarten. We couldn't have imagined a better experience for either of them. Before FSM, our kids went to a play-based preschool where they were often bored and unchallenged. Especially our son was craving real learning and engagement. FSM Montessori is a special, one-of-a-kind preschool, and we do not believe that there is a better option in the SF Bay Area. Over the past two years, our son (who recently turned 5yo) has transformed from a shy toddler who did not want to go to school to a confident young boy who loves school, and especially Mrs. Rehmane. Our son has developed a special relationship with Mrs. Rehmane, which is not surprising when you see the way she interacts with and cares for her students. She has been a Montessori teacher for 30 years, and it would be an understatement to say that her true passion is teaching. We have been so impressed with how well she knows our son and how much time and effort she puts into making sure that he is constantly learning, while being challenged and also developing a love for learning. She has created custom handwriting workbooks for our son, and she has also invented games that he can play with other students to learn math. While her teaching style adheres to the Montessori method, she has also supplemented with other teaching materials that ensure that our son is getting the best education. In addition, Mrs. Rehmane brings in Ms. Sandy to teach music and Spanish twice a week. The school is immaculate and orderly, and the floors are spotless. Mrs. Rehmane and Ms. Carla (the assistant teacher, who is equally lovely and caring) prepare and serve organic fruits and vegetables for snack time. They will also heat up our son's lunches on the days that we pack him a hot lunch. We are amazed at how our son comes home with an empty lunch box every day! Furthermore, Mrs. Rehmane is a true partner to parents. She is gracious with her time and advice and is available any time to speak about anything related to parenting and our son. There are two formal parent-teacher conferences during the school year, but we have had many consultations with Mrs. Rehmane outside of those two conferences. We are so incredibly grateful to Mrs. Rehmane for being our son's teacher. We would wholeheartedly recommend FSM Montessori to any parents who are looking for a nurturing and enriching preschool. read more

Our son just completed his second year at this wonderful school and we absolutely loved it. It is a true Montessori curriculum and the teachers are warm and caring while providing lots of structure. Our son has attended FSM Montessori led by Mrs. Rehmane when he turned 3 years old. You can quickly tell that Mrs. Rehmane is passionate about children. She is very warm, patient and caring. Our son is bilingual, so he spoke mainly Chinese when he started at FSM. Mrs. Rehmane paid special care in helping him with his initial language barrier and adapt to the new school environment. We really appreciate the smaller class size and the added attention it provides each child. During our parent teacher conference, we could tell that Mrs. Rehmane paid great detail into observing our child, understanding his individual behavior and determining his strengths and weaknesses to tailor the right approach to teach, encourage and foster a good learning environment for him. She gave us pointers on how to work with him at home as well so that we could maintain a consistent approach for him, which we felt was important at this age. The school itself is exceptional. The learning area is spacious for the number of students at the school. It is extremely clean and organized. The outdoor space is also well kept, and it has great views of the Bay, which gives it a much more open feel for the children. We're extremely happy and grateful that we found FSM Montessori for our son, and we hope to have our younger daughter enrolled as well soon. read more

FSM Montessori is the best place I've found. Mrs. Rehmane and Ms. Carla genuinely love kids, and we love the teachers! Our son has been attended since he was 3. We were new to California and I was anxious about leaving him. Mrs. Rehmane went out of her way to make me (and my son) feel comfortable and after visiting a few other establishments, I knew this was the one where he would be happiest. Amna is an amazing teacher. Her firm warmth is evident. She is deeply committed to every child she brings into her school. My daughter spent 2 years there through Kindergarten and ran to school everyday. She graduated reading "at least at 3rd grade level" while mastering addition and subtraction with an introduction to multiplication. From fall of 2020 to summer 2021, she did not get sick once. Not even a sniffle. Whereas after attending a different school for 2 days she became sick. Amna keeps rational and consistent hygiene practices in place that work. I credit Amna with instilling the ever so critical "joy of learning" in my daughter. My daughter stayed at FSM for over one year until she got to pre-K. she had a wonderful time there with Mrs. Rehmane, Ms. Carla, and the whole class. She learned how to speak English, gained lots of progress in maths, art, and also learned how to express her feelings in the right way. I can tell that the teachers care a lot about the kids. We feel so very fortunate to have our son (currently 3yr old) attending FSM. We looked at a number of montessoris and other preschools in the area and decided on FSM because of Mrs Rehmane. Our son, a Covid baby growing up with a nanny, is naturally shy but he was instantly comfortable with her. She and Ms Carla are not just kind & loving individuals, but amazing educators who take the time to teach executive functions and life skills, which seem like impossible tasks when it comes to a 3yr old but they make it look easy. We were at first uncertain of the small class size and setting but now are very appreciative of the attention and the space. Mrs Rehmane is extremely responsive to all of our questions, she proactively provides frequent updates and sends photos throughout the day, and she often gives us practical and helpful tips on nurturing our young kid. We also love the semi-annual individual parent teacher conference, which really shows the care and attention she puts into each child. Our son loves going to school, loves his teachers, loves Spanish & music classes on Tuesdays, and loves his classmates. I have been holding off on writing my review of FSM Montessori because I secretly wanted to make sure my 2nd child got in. That should tell you how amazing this school is, and even more amazing are the teachers here Mrs. Rehmane and Ms. Carla - the heart and soul of this place. My daughter started as a 3 year old and will be leaving as a curious, determined and an independent 6 year old. We love how passionate Mrs. Rehmane is about the Montessori philosophy and that shines through how she shapes the minds of her students. There is a personal touch with the teachers and they are open to listening (in fact quite encouraging) to any changes in your child, so they can best be prepared for the day. I literally cannot think of any other teacher being so deeply engaged and motivated for the well-being of children, not only from an education perspective but also from a caretaker perspective. Our son really loves Mrs. Rehmane, and that shows. She is very patient and caring in all of her interactions with the children, and my son has really come online as far as cementing phonics and understanding numbers. The strategy of her teaching focuses on tactile stimulation in order to develop and further enhance developing fine motor skills and this has been all the difference with my son, who can be described as Kinetic. Finding this school was such a blessing for our family! Our daughter started here when she was 3, and it has been an amazing experience for her. Mrs. Rehmane pays such close attention to each child and truly knows every single one of them. She lights up when she shares stories about the students because she is so passionate about being their teacher and cares so much about them. She is always willing to receive feedback from the parents and communication is easy with her. My daughter loves going to school every day and has really grown over the past year. She has learned to read and add/subtract. She sings songs in Spanish and gets to practice "public speaking" on a regular basis in their class. I would not consider my husband or I "easy-going" when it comes to choosing schools for our kids, yet we have been so happy with our time at FSM. Our family is moving out of state, and we are incredibly sad to leave FSM! It truly is a wonderful school and we can't recommend it enough! read more

Mrs. Rehmane and her school is the best thing that happened to our family. We moved up from Southern California 2 years ago where my 2 children (both in primary class, age 3-6) attended a great AMI based Montessori school and was in search of an equality qualified school to transition to. She ended up being exactly what we were looking for. She heads one class of 14 children with an assistant and they are both excellent in their patience and kindness with children. There are many schools that are "Montessori" by name (we had a negative experience with this as well) but FSM nurtures the true philosophy of AMI based Montessori education. There are a few outside/non-AMI materials that the teacher feels is appropriate for the classroom but the classroom structure is largely AMI based. If you're looking for a smaller, more affordable, mostly AMI based Montessori primary school (age 3-6, preschool/kindergarten), I highly recommend Mrs. Rehmane and FSM! read more

My 4 years old daughter used to have tantrums in her previous school but she transformed in to a sunny, happy child within a few days of attending FSM Montessori. Ms. Rehmane was able to form a connection with my daughter almost instantly and my daughter loves her. The environment is organized, clean and lovely. There is a sense of peace and joy. Mrs. Rehmane is a very experienced teacher who knows each child well and truly cares for them. I observed great improvement in my daughter's English language skills as we speak Mandarin at home. There is a beautiful outside environment with a sand table where children can play, do gardening, ride tricycles and observe birds visiting the bird feeder. The children go to a nearby children's park and Mrs. Rehmane takes them on nature walks. I highly recommend Mrs. Rehmane and FSM Montessori to any parent looking for a preschool. read more

Our daughter had an outstanding preschool experience at FSM Montessori for two years. My son has attended FSM since he turned 3. I had researched and toured other known Montessori schools in the area previously, and I feel so fortunate to have come across FSM. I think it speaks volumes that the director Mrs. Rehmane has 25 years of Montessori experience and she continues to exude such genuine passion, love and care for children and teaching. Her eyes just sparkle with warmth and delight. She is proactive and always available to the parents if any questions come up regarding their child's development. The school is such a calm and peaceful environment. It is clean and immaculate. The smaller class size allows a great deal of attention to each child's needs, both socially and emotionally. There are Spanish and music enrichment classes each week and the children bake weekly. There is a garden that the children take care of, with delicious vegetables and herbs. My son brings home many art projects and homemade "booklets" of his work. The school encompasses a "whole child" approach, for which I am grateful. Mrs Rehmane is very accommodating to our family and gave me a strong sense of security that my (firstborn) child was well-taken care of while at school. Mrs. Rehmane is so wonderful with our children. For our oldest daughter, Mrs. Rehmane was able to get her reading early and very fluently. She also made reading fun, and now our daughter is quite the bookworm. She is also very warm and nurturing. We have LOVED having our 4 year old son in Mrs. Rehmane's school. We were so lucky to find an open position in Mrs. Rehmane's school for our son when we searched for preschools in the area. We were quite concerned at the beginning that my son couldn't speak any English while there was no one in FSM Montessori that could speak Chinese. Mrs. Rehmane did have great patience and caring for our kid and we never heard from him once that he didn't want to go to school. Within 5 months, we see great progress in our son. He could speak and read in basic English, enjoyed playing with all the kids, and liked the enrichment classes very much. Moreover, he learned addition and deduction in an easy Montessori way. My three year old son has been enrolled at FSM Montessori for 6 months now. He is having the besT time ever. It's amazing when your child can't wait to get to school! Our daughter started this fall at FSM Montessori and is thriving at her new school. She was previously in a much larger daycare program and is clearly happier and learning more at FSM. I am a parent who over-researches. This is a hidden gem. Mrs Rehmane (founder, owner, and head teacher) is absolutely the best. With years of experience as an educator, she has sincere passion for both the children and teaching itself. My child started at the school this fall and LOVES going to school. He comes home singing, practicing his sounds, bringing back artwork, handmade booklets, and homemade baked goodies. I love that they go to a nearby neighborhood park for some play time. I love their backyard, which has a veggie and herb garden, area for biking, a sand table, and a picnic table. Most importantly, I have noticed how he loves "work" (because everything in Montessori is a "job"). He takes initiative to learn, he is able to focus for a long period of time, he is growing in independence, and he is inquisitive in general. Montessori sometimes has a bad reputation of being too independent and lacking in social emotional learning. Not the case here. My child is very good friends with his classmates, and has learned how to work and play together. Mrs Rehmane puts a lot of thought into her program. She recently did a Back to School night for the parents and went through the daily routine and curriculum. It is amazing. In addition to Mrs Rehmane, there is one assistant teacher and one enrichment teacher (music and Spanish).
